There is a sort of constant battle between the two of them to the degree that they are fighting, but they are taking care of one another. guys i do so much at my job & my boss actually isn’t that bad & she’s nice and supportive & i am so aware that im actually in such a good situation but im so burnt out & i dont have enough money AND i realize this is a reality for so many people so its driving me insane cause like logically there’s just no way out of it and if i go to a different job there’s so many ways it could be worse but i cant stay at this job forever but i dont have a passion for anything and again im burnt. Out. And this dilemma replays in my head every day whilst i have to constantly remind myself that again it’s not that bad . again and again and again. im going crazy

see the thing is it’s actually easy to start new things knowing you’re going to be bad at them because they’re brand new to you and obviously you can’t be good at something you don’t know. but a few weeks in when you’ve learned the basics & you’re progressing? that’s when the perfectionist gene kicks in. that’s where the torture lies

So I've been to the jersey shore a lot and I've worked with designers in the Hamptons and let me say, the aesthetics really crash wildly. Then throwing in all the demigod culture? Honestly you could make new Athens really fun and wild looking while still being a gorgeous seaside town. Love your moodboards sm in general they inspired me to make my own ones

i always figured new athens would end up fun & wild mostly because it's parodical by nature, in the same way that new rome is. or maybe pastiche. maybe both. cause there's no true way of replicating ancient athens on long island, and i don't think annabeth would try, but instead try her best to take those aesthetics and modernize them and blend them with staples of the northeast, so it would end up incredibly unique.

the center of town may have a lot of pristine marble buildings, but you also might find a few food trucks in the agora. there are gardens and temples, but also nectar vending machines. it would be such an intense amalgamation but because annabeth is so talented, and has the olympus experience, she would make it work. i love thinking about it
