brendon is such a baiting, hypocritical, lying piece of shit.

brendon apologized for his past actions in the interview and said he was wrong. people are allowed to grow and make mistakes as long as they realize that they weren’t fine.

Every time I post something negative about him, I get a bunch of hate telling me he’s “apologized” but has he really? My problem with Brendon Urie is that he’s expressed one of the most consistent patterns of disrespect out of any celebrity but he half-asses an apology every once in a while and people want to pretend he’s changed. If he’s apologized for his transphobic comments, I guess that’s nice. But he still continues to make offensive comments/jokes and thinks that a half-assed Twitter apology will placate fans and allow him to keep doing the same thing. AND IT DOES. He’s said more problematic things than most universally banned fcs and everyone largely doesn’t know about it or ignores it because they like his music / think he’s hot.

And as far as this interview, he basically states he’s not interested in a connection with men at all earlier in THE SAME INTERVIEW. So maybe you should actually read the whole thing:

“These two girls invited us out and she knew the bouncer so we just got in. I remember just being hit on all night and it was awesome. I was getting drinks all night. These guys would just come up and I was like, “I’m flattered but I’m not interested but thank you.“”

The above quote is also supposedly from an incidence when he was seventeen so let’s not pretend it’s because he was with his wife since I know that’ll be where people immediately go.

If you want to read more about Brendon’s other racist, sexist, biphobic, transphobic, fat-shaming, and ableist comments and then come back and tell me there isn’t a pattern of disrespect towards minority communities in his past behavior, I’m willing to discuss it.

If you still want to like him, go for it that’s your prerogative, but please don’t tout him as representation when there are so many other celebrities out there who actually do the most and he’s just being the worst and looking for credit after working against so many communities for so long.
