“the beauty in being heard without over explaining yourself, the clarity in being seen without overexposing yourself, the intimacy in being met exactly where you are, for who you currently are and who you are becoming.”
I went to the beach and then straight to Joja, follower him to the saloon, watched him drink beer for hours and waited for him to come out…Anyways I wanted to pay tribute to my fav game this year, I can’t believe how invested I was..
so, this specie looks really similar to pilea peperomioides but turns out they’re totally not related, different care needs and all that. pretty cool
it has really nice, deep green and shiny leaves in teardrop/raindrop shape. my plant has one of them splitted, what a beautiful weirdo. you can see that one leaf also has a discoloration, it was rather healthy overall but i have cut it anyway because i was kinda worried.
2. Peperomia albovittata ‘Piccola banda’
at first i thought it was P. caperata bc it’s kinda hard to identify it from all this variety of species
3. Peperomia verticillata ‘Red log’
it has really beautiful red leaf undersides. im kinda scared to even touch it cuz it’s really fragile
so, all of them are from Piperaceae (pieprzowate) family and come from tropical regions of South&Central America. i’m not 100% sure but ive read that P.albovittata is from Peru and verticillata is a pal from Bolivia! but they also said that they need full sun so i’m gonna take it with a grain of salt.
there’s A LOT of peperomia species, around 1 fucking thousand but only few of them are available for sale. that doesn’t mean that there’s not much to choose from because they have a whole lot of different varieties
care stuff:
people say that they’re very easy to grow but they’re actually kinda tricky
lighting: peperomias prefer indirect light, full sun can damage their leaves. so, bright spot with in.light or a partly-shaded place
watering&temperature: watering these guys is kinda problematic. let them dry out between waterings, don’t overwater but keep in mind that although peperomias are succulents, they’re tropical ones so they shouldn’t be treated like succs growing on deserts or steppes, don’t let them suffer in drought. you can just water them once a week in the summer.
they like it warm all year round (don’t tolerate cold) and prefer humidity but you shouldn’t mist them
feeding: feed your fellas once a month, dilute 2x less than recommended
