I decided to draw the boys in their tuxes (I took some liberties with both lol). I also used these reference sheets as references (before I would use screenshots). Not much improvement, the beaks are still weird and DW's and Negs' eyes wound up being a little too far apart...

Still proud of this drawing though! <3

There is so much I can talk about in this episode opening that could fill a dashboard here, but I’ll just let all of you point it all instead, and I’ll make this short and sweet.

I absolutely love that Negaduck apparently rates so low on Darkwing’s mental list of threat levels, that Ammonia Pine has more priority.

Fun note: This is technically canonically QuackerJack’s second appearance, so apparently QuackerJack made SUCH a big impact on Darkwing’s crime fighting life the first time that he starts showing up in his dreams.

This is a prompt I really want to do at some point (either in fanfic form or fanart-- preferably both XD). I have mixed feelings about soulmate AUs, but this is a neat take on the concept, so I like it. Plus, it's Negawing. <3

Darkwing Duck Soulmate AU Prompt:

(Older Darkwing Duck)

Everyone has their soulmate’s first name written on them. In the prime universe people’s show off their marks but Darkwing keeps his covered because he’s ashamed that “he’s his own soulmate” plus it’s in a different font than everyone else’s. This lead to him being teased for it when he was younger. While in the Negaverse it’s the opposite. You’re not supposed to show people your soulmates name (because loves looked down upon or something) but since Negaduck got “himself” he claims that shit and parades it around! Though it being a different font seemed weird but he never thought about it.

However when they are fighting Darkwing notices that Negaduck name in the same font as everyone in the prime universe and Negaduck notices that Darkwing keeps his covered. Madness ensues...

Do you ever think you'll stop drawing fanart? No offense it just seems like the kind of thing you're supposed to grow out of. I'm just curious what your plans/goals are since it isn't exactly an art form that people take seriously.

Ah, fanart. Also known as the art that girls make.

Sad, immature girls no one takes seriously. Girls who are taught that it’s shameful to be excited or passionate about anything, that it’s pathetic to gush about what attracts them, that it’s wrong to be a geek, that they should feel embarrassed about having a crush, that they’re not allowed to gaze or stare or wish or desire. Girls who need to grow out of it.

That’s the art you mean, right?

Because in my experience, when grown men make it, nobody calls it fanart. They just call it art. And everyone takes it very seriously.
