It is, for one, a big word and not easy to explain just like that. But I'll tell you what I know.

Love is, contrary to popular belief, not a feeling. Love is a choice that you make over and over again. Love is appreciation...care and compassion.

You can feel love for many things. For a hobby, for the world...for a certain someone or even just a stranger.

The only way you know if you truly love someone is, when you are sure, without a single doubt in your heart, that they are making you the best version of yourself. That you want to be with them, despite them leaving the damn toilet seat up, not picking up their socks after themselves or argueing with you from time to time. You know in your soul, that your life is better with them in it, than without. And with them...you want to stay, until there is nothing left of you, but dust.
