I still think the little girl who is the world's most skilled at summoning earthworms has to be, like.. that's the most interesting person alive. I wake up at night and remember that this fucking 6-or-whatever-year-old can just. Do that. That's terrifying. I hate knowing this. But again, at the same time, I wonder about it constantly. The whole thing is supposedly a skill passed down through families. People have been honing this ability for fucking CENTURIES. But this little tiny child absolutely blows everyone else out of the water just by summoning HUNDREDS OF EARTHWORMS
People who say BakuDeku is okay because they’re ‘equals’ now. Here’s how that’s problematic: by an actual abuse survivor
This implies that Midoryia was the one who had to change. HE got a quirk, HE took on All Mights responsibility, HE had to fight even harder than everyone else.
Bakugou hasn’t apologised (not that that’s an instant forgive-and-forget)
Bakugou still snaps and snarls whenever Midoryia even gets within a foot near him
Bakugou hasn’t made any attempts at getting better.
Changing character for three seconds does not change this.
Feeling sad for one episode does not change this.
Having a tragic backstory or an ‘reason’ for his behaviour doesn’t change this. In fact these are all tactics abusers use to make others feel bad for them and believe they’ve changed.
Please, please listen to us. Enemies-to-friends-to lovers is fine, but it can have awful consequences if not done properly. Especially as a lot of BakuDeku content is mostly about Bakugou getting jealous, or angry, or possessive or whatever (fucking ew).
Every ship does this, I know. But BakuDeku was built from the ground up to be disgusting, without being treated properly. This isn’t a ‘don’t tell people what to write’ situation, this is a window to some horrifying content
and while we’re on the subject of Amazon, I’d like to mention how it’s affected the city I’ve grown up in and love so dearly.
Amazon is in part directly responsible for the godawful housing market in Seattle and it’s surrounding towns. The average rent for a small home in my neighbourhood, 30 minutes north of Seattle, can top off to $1,900 a month. I live in a small, 3 bedroom rambler that’s nothing special and our rent is $1,800 per month and climbing as amazon tries to bring in more employees to the area. We’re in the middle of a homeless crisis because many people cannot afford to live here anymore with rent skyrocketing and the gentrification of many low-income neighbourhoods in order to create space for more amazon transplants.
people who leave their phones set to military time are fuckin war criminals how do you look at 16:05 and go wow i can understand that . fucking bootlickers whats next? you gonna go join the army??recruit me?
