if you were to contract any health complications from sex, would you and your partner be able to deal with it?

if you had a child who was in your position and was going to be sleeping with your prospective partner, would you be pleased with their choice of partner? would you be pleased about the way that boy propositioned your child? if not, why let it happen to you?

let's say you agree to sex and the process begins but you suddenly get cold feet, reassess the situation, and change your mind. do you feel that your partner would agree to stop without any complications?

sex is very serious. someone is quite literally entering your body and opening up a box of consequences that come along with that action. does your partner treat it as something serious? something that needs protection and care?

I need to really emphasize the fact that sex is very serious and comes with a lot of consequences. too many to name, even in just the way your body will change as you become sexually active. some consequences are more grave than others, but whether it be mentally being hung up on someone or unwanted pregnancy, there are a ton of consequences that come with it and many of them are not things that young people are properly equipped to handle. there's a reason that it's advised to wait until you're older. the good feeling from the ordeal only lasts so long but outcomes can be life altering and need to be dealt with by a matured mind. like, there are certain problems you won't even be able to solve alone simply bc you are a minor and will need a parent present. that's how young you are.

I encourage you to rethink your views on virginity and abstinence. why is sex something that you feel a need to rush into? especially as a little high schooler? food for thought.

I understand the hormonal changes you are feeling at your age that come with a desire to explore sexual relationships and I get that we live in a hyper-sexualized culture that makes it seem like it's no big deal to throw caution to the wind and get out there. I strongly advise you to disregard it. You asked for my advice and this is it: wait.

When the time is right, you won't have to second guess it or come to a blogger and ask for their opinion. You'll be able to confidently say, "I'm grown, I've got my stuff together, I trust this person, he's got my back 100% and I've got his. He cares about my safety and will step up to the plate if anything goes awry. I don't have to hide or sneak around or pray that my parents don't find out. I have a more matured mind, I understand how to take care of my body and I can afford vaginal care. I fully accept the consequences that may arise from this act and I can take accountability for anything that my own negligence has caused. I'm ready and I know it completely." Until you have that feeling, wait.

HEEYY GWORRRLLLL!!! I’m back…It’s been PURE CHAOS these past 2 months 😩 I missed engeneblr sooo much!!! yall have noooo idea…… as someone who usually struggles with Extreme procrastination issues, I had to cut off tumblr for 2 months to avoid surrendering myself to that abyss once again.
