Sound of Leaves Rustling in the Wind – Kang Tae Gu Heard this song through a Korean TV show called “Hyori’s Homestay”. It was playing in the background, in the scene where Lee Hyori and her husband was on their way back from grocery shopping and both of them simultaneously sang along to it when the song came up through their car radio. The song title reminds me of that perfect moment when I myself was on my way back from grocery shopping. It was the perfect summer weather and the tree branches swayed, the leaves rustled to the strong breeze. I was listening to my own music and singing along on my way home. Passed by a bread factory and the smell of freshly baked bread lifted my spirits. The sound of pebbles crunching beneath my feet adds flavour to my audio journey. I stopped to admire the little stream flowing through and there were chickens nearby cackling in a coop. An old man saw I was taking photos of the surroundings and point towards the chicken cage saying, “Tipu tipu” and only when he said “Kananmuna” while making the shape of an egg with his hands, did I realise he was referring to the chickens. It was a perfect day.
