My favorite Epithets for Bast:
Who rises on the horizon
She with the powerful heart
Lady of heaven and earth
Lady of light
Mistress of splendor
Who dispels darkness
Who creates the rays
Who allows the two lands to flourish
Who protects her father
Who fills the palace with joy
Lady of the birth houses
The mistress of protection in the Divine Pasture
Lady of life
The mistress of the breath of life
The mistress of manifestations
The mistress of jewelry
She with pleasant scent
The devouring flame
The eye of Ra
Whose flame comes out against her enemies
Who inflicts massacre against the crooked-hearted
The very popular one (to the gods)
The mistress of messengers
Who delights Ra with the beat of her fingers (as a musician)

Ok but dude, Same. That is literally my mood and situation right now.
Hey guys I’m gonna vent a lil bit here
I will delete this later, but usually a lot of people respond when I post here, the thing is that rn I feel like a complete loser, I don’t have lots of friends, I never go out to parties or with friends and I’m fucking 19 I just feel like I’m not living my life you know? I try but it’s nice to really easy for me to make friends since I’m really anxious and keep my head in the clouds. I’m sorry to bother you with this non mythology related post but I just need to feel like someone is listening

Nephstys cheated on Set. But can you blame her? Set was so busy messing with Horus that Nephstys had to go to Osiris for affection. Now If Osiris can’t tell his sisters apart than maybe there’s a reason he’s DEAD

For the record, if my children were treated like outcasts and slaves, I was chained using my children’s entrails and tortured for millennia for something I did while drunk, I’d be pretty pissed too.

I have a sorta love hate relationship with Marvel in its depiction of the Aesir. For one thing it’s culturally inaccurate. Not that I mind that much, representation is good. Another thing is how it completely butchers some characters.
Thor is a red head. He’s described as a ginger in many tales. Also he isn’t a moron, he’s not clever but he isn’t stupid. Like, the guy can usually figure stuff out. Hes a straight talker and more down to earth in personality. They did get his love of fighting right though. That was spot on.
Loki is… complicated. Marvels portrayal is really neat and facinating. Loki does care about his adoptive brother/nephew (depends on the myth you read). But most of the time he isn’t ‘evil’ or powerhungry. Most of the time he actually either helps the gods or pulls a couple of drunken pranks. Sure the guy cheats on his wife a lot and killed Baldur because… honestly he has no impulse control, but he is never depicted as an ‘evil’ god. He’s just really cunning and hard to trust.
Odin.. I’m honestly pissed. Marvel depicts him as some kind of stoic war god but like, the dude is just as cunning as Loki. He actually has a lot of the powers Loki has. And his main flaw is his foresight. He sees bad things happening and tries to prevent them, only to cause them with his prevention. There’s so much about Odin they constantly miss out on. He speaks in riddles and phrases, has a magic spear and armband, generally is fair when not paranoid.
More on this later.
