HANA NOCHI HARE: HANADAN NEXT SEASON (2018)

Well, apparently Japan came out with a sequel. Sounds iffy but as a fan of the brand I must take a peek as it is now available on VIKI. F4 have graduated as has Makino Tsukushi. The school is suffering with a decline in funding (farfetched since these students come from the filthy rich) and student enrollment.

Meet the CORRECT 5 or C5 are the students of wealthy families and they patrol the school to rid it of commoners which happens to be Edogawa Oto who's father's wealth diminished due to bankruptcy. Oto continues to hid in the shadows (though briefly) making her the new Makino.

Meet C5

Kaguragi Harato: The gorgeous leader of C5. He's a joke. Gorgeous...yes. Wealthy...yes. Good Body...sure ok but he's truly a joke. He accidentally beat someone by tripping over his own feet. A later fight has him biting to scare off an offender. Domyouji would be so proud.

Taira Kaito: A bespectacled tech wiz. Nothing special to speak of yet.

Maya Airi: C5's only female member. She's pretty and shallow sounds about right.

Narumiya Issa: Tall, Blonde and Rich. And into the arts.

Eibi Sugimaru: Tall, Handsome and athletic.

In the Penultimate Episode. Jeong Woo (PARK HYUNG SIK) finally proposed to his lady love Ha-Neul (the beautiful PARK SHIN-HYE) but before an answer could manifest a phone call came and Jeong Woo took that moment to take Ha-Neul into a passionate kiss.

Ending the Penultimate Episode with a marriage proposal (no answer) and a romantic encounter (presumably).

Will Ha-Neul accept her boyfriend's (once enemy/academic challenger) proposal? Or as viewers are we in for an unexpected ending?

Doctor Slump (2024, SOUTH KOREA)

Episode 9

Two doctors. Both in slumps. For different reasons. High school competitors. But now a chance for love between the two has become a real, a true possibility

Dr. Jeong Woo Yeo (PARK HYUNG SIK) was a successful plastic surgeon until a patient's death left him friendless, jobless, broken and traumatized.

Dr. Ha Neul Nam (PARK SHIN HYE) was a an anesthesiologist working her ass off only to have male doctors keeping her from reaching her goal. Stomping her down until depression riddled her shaken mind.

Dr. Jeong Woo reentered Dr. Ha Neul at a low point renting a rooftop room from Ha Neul's mother. Their once school rivalry soon dissolved into an attraction.

Cleared of all wrong doings in the patient's death Jeong Woo has returned to plastic surgeon duties but his PTSD might hold him back. Until he hears the voice of the woman he loves. Is it a dream? A fantasy? Or has Dr. Ha Neul returned to being a doctor?

And is she standing opposite a man she's ready to love?

Ji Hoo has stepped aside. And with the help of F4, Gu Jun-Pyo (LEE MIN-HO) fakes a hospitalization bringing a mournful Guem Jan Di to his side. Until she realizes it's all in jest.

Gu Jun-Pyo begins spending time with Jan Di and her parents and her little brother. Soaking in the way a poor family lives, survives and such. He loving ever minute of it that when his fellow F4 members So Yi Jung (KIM BUM) and Song Woo Bin (KIM JOON) inquire, a smiling Jun-Pyo can only "pity" there misunderstanding of life. So cute.

Yet Jun-Pyo and Jan Di next problem is around the corner as they join Jan Di's friend Chu Ga Eul on a double date with a guy that is scum and invokes Jun-Pyo's ire. And his unwillingness to explain or apologize leads....

PARK SHIN-HYE IS BACK!!!

One of my all time favorite Korean Actresses has returned to acting after her marriage and birth of her first child.

Park Shin-Hye is acting royalty in my opinion appearing in hits The Heirs, Doctors and Pinocchio among others.

As Gu Jun-Pyo (LEE MIN-HO) alerts the student body that Jan Di (GU HYE SEON) is his lady and therefore any action against her, he'll consider it against him and act accordingly.

An objection (in jest) is heard from behind them. It's Guem Jan Di's first crush Ji Hoo (KIM HYUNG JOONG) and Gu Jun-Pyo's best friend back from trying to win his first love.

His return reunites F4 and So Yi Jung (KIM BUM) and Song Woo Bin (KIM JOON) are thrilled to have him back. However his brokenheart will lead to more problems for Jun-Pyo and Jan Di's "fragile relationship"

Jan Di races to get away from her new fan club as the girlfriend of F1 (GU JUN-PYO) only to run into F2 (YOON JI HOO) in their former meeting spot. So begins their (for lack of better word) secret relationship or perhaps situationship

When a girl she thought was her friend sets her up to look like a slut Jan Di (GU HYE SEON) is dropped by a angry jealous Gu Jun-Pyo (LEE MIN-HO) even though they aren't even dating.

As such the school students resume bullying the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. But at that moment Gu Jun-Pyo is learning the truth.

As the bullying escalates leaving Jan Di in dire straits her non boyfriend (who is madly in love with her) surfaces and takes out a couple of the bullying students as the rest back down.

Apologizing to Jan Di, Jun-Pyo picks her up and takes her to his mansion for some personal care.

But the non couple face more as Gu Jun-Pyo's best friend Ji Hoo (and Jan Di's first F4 crush returns after failing to reunite with his first love)

Gu Jun Pyo (LEE MIN-HO) became jealous at a formal event and went outside furious that the girl he has become enamored Guem Jan Di (GU HYE SEON) was dolled up and was dancing with F4 member and Jun Pyo's best friend Ji Hoo.

Now in the Korean Adaptation Jun Pyo had a fear of bugs I mean an over the top fear. Seeing a cricket by the pool he freaked out and fell in the pool.

Jan Di happened by and extracted him from the pool and began CPR and suddenly Jun Pyo sprung awake (he was faking) and tried kissing Jan Di. She decked him. Yet he still seemed oh so happy.

But Jan Di doesn't like Jun Pyo (yet) she's still hung up on Ji Hoo (KIM HYUN JOONG)
