[ Ooc: I finally submitted my fecking dissertation. Fecking dead. Fortunately, I have a dnd session this evening, so I can wind down with my lil bard boi Luran. :3 Anyway, I have decided to take a two week hiatus from all my blogs; I have to go job hunting and simply don't want to squander my time on social media while I'm still unemployed and living the "no adult responsibilities life" lol. I'm planning to make some more digital drawings and practise a lot on my guitar and uke (and possibly the piano and perhaps even the recorder flute for dnd purposes). [ Ooc: Last night the sky was relatively clear, so I decided to do some amateur stargazing from my window sill lol, and let me tell you something, nothing is more satisfying than being able to discern the constellations. :3 I spotted a lot of the eastern sky constellations that were visible at around 11pm CEST (Hercules, Bootes, Draco, Lyra, Cygnus, Ophiuchus and Serpens). And, naturally, I saw Vega, my beloved. Anyway, back to my dissertation. It's almost finished. :3 ]

Favourite colour: Dark blue colours are kinda neat.

Favourite book: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, but I also love my Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman. And Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe. And I always forget to mention Andy's a Stitch in Time. The Hobbit by Tolkien is one of my faves too. *Cough* Shakespeare's The Tempest, Merchant of Venice, and Macbeth *cough*. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is fun too.

Last film / show: Star Trek: The Next Generation ("All Good Things" lol).

Inspiration: I derive inspiration from watching TNG. Music usually helps to get me in a writing mood too (idk if this section is about writing-related inspiration, but it is now lol). Reading books also enthuses me to write my own stories.

Story behind url: 'My timing is digital' is a quote from the episode "Outrageous Okona", in which Data is experimenting with humour and jokes etc. I just thought Data replying 'my timing is digital' to Guinan's 'it could have been your timing' was super witty and hilarious (well done, whoever wrote that line), and I somehow always remembered it?

Fun fact about me: I have a poster of Rembrandt's The Night Watch hanging on my bedroom wall, above my television. It is one of my favourite works of art made by a Dutch painter. I've seen it twice at the Rijksmuseum and it's so unbelievably astonishing. :3 My replica can't do it justice, but I like it regardless.

Our transporters are virtually inefficacious due to the transport inhibitors they activated 30 minutes after the commencement of the negotiations — Chief O'Brien is presently attempting to devise a workaround,' Data replied factually, aiding Picard in his endeavour to clamber back to his feet. 'Whatever you told them seems to have agitated them, sir.'

A statement based on inconclusive data — literally anything could have triggered the hostilities, but the native inhabitants of the planet had not elicited the impression that they had a propensity for violence...

'May I suggest disabling the transport inhibitors? I was obligated to set the shuttlecraft down outside the city; it is well-obscured, but it will take you up to a two hours to traverse across the capital. Unfortunately, the troupes patrolling the streets might make that objective unattainable...'
