for the record. not that anyone said a damn thing to me. purely in the context of the show i understand the merit of franks presence and that he helped bill in certain ways, but its the fact that when the episode came out all i saw was people talking about how perfect they are for each other when in reality (imo obviously) its a story about an imperfect couple making it work because the other choice is being alone. and also the fact that frank pisses me off so bad
rewatching tlou. i continue to dislike frank so strongly
There are currently ~2300 works in AO3 tagged with "Created Using Generative AI"
I'll be upfront with my opinion, which mirrors my opinion in regards to my field: using AI will only hasten your own obsolescence. The point of fanfiction is not to crank out fics, but rather to enjoy the hobby and communities of writing and fandom.
Im enjoying the longevity of tumblrs recontextualization style of humor. a seemingly innocuous post followed by like "posts that a gnome would make" or like "are you a phone"
thinking about gay closeted troy raised in a jehova’s witness family who use physical abuse as a punishment. who has nerdy “feminine” interests that he hides with layers upon layers of toxic masculinity and a cool jock persona. who fakes an injury in order to avoid a life of professional football. who gets made fun of by his family for going to community college. who’s parents are divorced, and who’s dad pressures him to move out bc he feels uncomfortable seeing that his new girlfriend is the same age as his son. thinking about troy becoming friends with abed and letting his guard down, slowly over time embracing his interests and being weird and nerdy. and yet still that ever present fear of not being enough of a man. and a large lack of knowledge of who he really is as a person after so many years of repression.
if a character means enough to me i will truly never stop thinking about them. i just retire them into a little back room in my brain and periodically bring them out to stare at them under a little light
