Most people are probably wondering how this music meme thing came into existence…here is me telling you how.

It started with this meme on DeviantArt...which is actually very fun to do.

I did like several of this music meme (with Spotify playlists...I will have links to those playlist when I post each music meme) before I decided to make a music meme that is 365 days...which is an entire year.

Now thinking about what it seems like...it actually seems to be more of "a music meme and an Inktober smashed together".

It is very hard to do now with my occasionally art block and me having a job.

I do feel slightly crazy for doing this but there is no stopping me now.

Eton College and Captain Hook (Part 3)

This contains spoilers...

It is also mentioned by Hook (that he went there) in Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy (2014).

James Hook in this movie is voiced by Tom Hiddleston (yes, he is Loki and has a perfect accent).

Tom Hiddleston went to Eton College. (Look up his bio and tell me I am wrong.) He sings in this, which was the best. (That will come up later in this meme.)

Also, Prince Harry and William went to the school as well (maybe Tom Hiddleston met these young princes)...

The royal family has a really old history with the school as King George III "I will send a full battalion to remind you of my love" (Yeah mention Hamilton which will be in the meme too)...

….was very fond of Eton College. (He also had to deal with pirates during his lifetime...or his government did.) Today is also his birthday as that is where the Fourth of June celebration came from. (which my mom shares a birthday with an English king...pretty cool.) Read this article for more.

Also, a past English King founded Eton College (see wiki) and that's why they are called King's scholars.

So what I am saying in this crazy rant, this place is super cool and I wanna see it!

Eton College and Captain Hook (Part 2)

This contains spoilers...

As I was saying,

In 2006, Peter Pan in Scarlet came out (which is canon since the hospital owns the rights and allows this sequel to come out)…

...which has Hook coming back and talking about his past, including his time at Eton College. There might actually be a movie of the book coming out at some point...which would be nice. There is already a play and an audiobook (only available in the UK on Kobo) which is narrated by Tim Curry (an English actor) aka another guy...

...who voiced Hook in the 1990's Fox version of Peter Pan and the Pirates...

...and was in Muppet Treasure Island as Long John Silver. (aka part of my childhood in a movie and might be in the meme.)

Since I am mentioned Peter Pan in Scarlet, I wanna say thank you to @concordia-cum-sinistro for inspiring the artwork.

Eton College and Captain Hook

Before I start to rant,

Here I go talking about this artwork that I recently posted.

First of all (just to say), this artwork is the avatar for my blog @an-eton-child.

Second of all, this song itself has such a cool history. It is the best known of the school songs associated with Eton College and considering who went to Eton College, it makes me happy. (See later) Here is a link to the Eton College wiki and Boating song. But there are some things that I want to teach you (or mention)...

*Spoilers below.*

Eton College is seen/mentioned in so many Peter Pan books and movies. First Sir J M Barrie gave hints about Hook's past in Peter Pan and Wendy (the book). Which included his final words of the play being "Floreat Etona" and not "Bad form." Then his speech at Eton (which I loved) gave more backstory. Here is the speech.

So the crest was first seen in Hook (1991)

on the ship of Captain Hook...on the back. See if this is the crest....

Then this is defiantly the crest on the back...

Hook's screenwriter was J V Hart (who wrote Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppla...crossing my fandoms over) who wrote this book...

…which is about Hook's youth. It is non-canon but really good. It does reference the speech quite a bit. Also, the fact it does donate to the Great Ormond Street Hospital...just like Mr. Barrie.

(I am wondering where the sequel and I can't decide which cover I like better. Also, listen to the audiobook...that is better.)

Then as a tattoo on Jason Isaacs' shoulder in Peter Pan 2003 when he played Hook. See...
