When you’re full of yourself, God can’t fill you. But when you empty yourself, God has a useful vessel.

Daily Prayer
Our Father in heaven, help me to learn today to cast my cares into your hands. Help me to be able to release the “things” in my life that bog me down daily. Give me blessings in areas of my life that today are troubling me. And most important, as You take my cares, give me a new drive to commit everything I do to You so that my thoughts will be established in You. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Quote of the Day
The time present, no doubt, is not a time of ease. It is a time of watching and praying, fighting and struggling, believing and working. But it is only for few years.

Prayer of the Day
Dear Father in heaven, we thank you that we are your children and that your eyes watch over us and see all that is in our hearts. You hear the request of each heart, and you will answer at the right time. Stretch out your strong hand to us, for we are weak and often heavy-hearted, not knowing what to do nor how to find you. But you are with us in every need in spite of all our faults and shortcomings. You are with us; you lead us through everything to our life’s true goal, until each of us can rejoice over all you have done, to the praise of your name, our Father. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Today's Encouraging Word
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

DOTK
devotion by Kesha Trippett
The choice is yours.
"But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also" Matthew 6:33, Amplified.
The husband leaves you and the kids, and the Lord says stay right there. You lose your job without severance pay, and the Lord says stay right there. Your child gets arrested, and the Lord says stay right there. Your ride-or-die friend leaves you, and the Lord says stay right there. The thing is, you're not there alone. The Lord, who is the anchor of your soul, is with you. Will you stay right there or allow what you're experiencing to move you? Will you remain seated in the Lord, or will you get out of your place and get out of faith, choosing your way? The choice is yours. You can't pick and choose your storms, but you can choose how you will respond to them.
A victim mentality blames the storm for moving them out of their seat and making them move from their stance and trust in God. The victim points the blame on the enemy for being too strong; that's why I got out of faith, but the Lord doesn't want us pointing the blame at the enemy, and He doesn't want us to blame the size of the storm as the reason for our cowardice. He wants us to take responsibility for ourselves and stand tall like David before Goliath, fully confident the Lord was with him. He wants us to stand courageously like Moses in front of the Red Sea with Pharoah and his armies behind, trusting in the God who said He was with him..."
Prayer: Father, I choose your will and your way of doing things. I submit myself to you and make a quality decision right now to stay in faith, come what may. I love you, Father, and I receive your help and your love for me. I pray you are continually glorified in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Daily Prayer
Dearest Abba, Father, dear Lord, I desire to be found perfect and upright in Your sight as Job was. Keep me from allowing sin to have dominion over me and enable me to always give You first place in my life so that You can do Your perfect work in me. Jesus, I present my prayer in Your precious name before my God, Father in heaven. Amen.
