Fellow Travelers is such a beautiful story. For those who haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it.. :')
Jonathan Bailey, aka G'rahahaha, and Matt Bomer did a fantastic job as the main couple in the show. 💖
If there were to be a spin-off or another drama written by the same author, I would love to see them cast as the main couple again, just like in AHS. Continuously with the same casts but different storyline.
They have the international version of the pilot and the extended episodes, and of course the musical (and even the After Pshow). If that isn’t incentive enough, I don’t know what is!
Have you seen Normal Heart? I totally watched because I heard Matt was in it. Loved his character in it but to his transformation after he got sick.
Yes, I have. I watched it very soon after finishing Fellow Travelers series, like within a day or two. Because, like you I was searching for any and all Matt Bomer/Jonny Bailey content to consume that would fill the FT sized void left in my heart. Oh, man I was so not ready emotionally for this film so immediately after episode 8. I mean, I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy watch but I just wasn’t emotionally strong enough right after being torn apart by “He was the man I loved.” and everything that came before it.
That being said, I absolutely loved it and thought it was such a great, (and necessary) film. Understanding queer history is so important. But Matt especially was so brilliant in it… especially when you consider he was also filming White Collar simultaneously. I audibly gasped at the subway scene, the first moment we catch a glimpse of him as he’s getting sick. Just heartbreaking.
