"it's so fucking over" yeah dude it's 11pm it's the end of the day it's time for you to go to bed. and tomorrow you'll be so fucking back because you'll be awake. go tuck yourself in dude you'll be ok
once in a while, I see someone post every week about how miserable they are after every episode of [weekly show], just constantly posting about how much they hate this week's episode (they hate the episode every week), how they're preemptively bracing for how terrible the next episode is going to be, how their expectations are constantly being shot down because every episode is just so bad, how they hate every week that show [core theme of the work], etc. etc. etc
and, every time, that person is holding on for exactly one element—one character, one ship, one subplot, one aspect of worldbuilding—and it's just MISERABLE watching them, like, please, love yourself and stop FOLLOWING the show, it is NOT worth it
if you find yourself posting literally every single week about how miserable a show makes you (television, podcast, actual play, YouTuber, whatever), just stop, stop, just stop, just let it go, stop
Changing my belief system from "this is the hill I'll die on" to "this is the hill I'll kill you on" has done absolute wonders for me 10/10 do recommend
“If I had time travel I’d kill Hitler” “If I had time travel I’d stop my favourite politician getting assassinated” you’re all thinking way too small. If I had time travel I’d stop Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin from dying on the moon due to Soviet sabotage, kicking off the Great Nuclear War and devastating half of the planet.
