I was worried too as I've only seen negative and half and half reviews on BKw. I'm glad there is alot of positive ones too. They just clearly aren't coming up on everyone's radar! I had started to give up with alot of Bill's work and was getting tired of him (his personal life didn't help in this either) and wasn't kind of looking forward to any upcoming projects if I'm honest. But damn! I did enjoy BKW. It was lovely surprise and Bill aswell as all the cast and crew did a great job!

I was getting a bit bored of Bill’s projects as well he wasn’t doing anything that interested me or ended up being good, like Barbarian. I know a lot of people loved that one but I thought that movie was awful and made no sense. I was giving up hope for him to be in anything interesting and also even though I knew about BKW there was no guarantee it would get a wide release. He did film it like 2 years ago and not much was known for awhile on that end. The movie was great but it wasn’t just because of Bill it was because of the entire cast and production. I think that it’s going to end up being one of those cult classic movies which is better than nothing at all. I don’t think the same can be said for The Crow. I think that the really obsessive horny Bill fans will like it just because they think he’s “hot” but for the most part it’ll be a dumpster fire.

Where I am? It’s not just my city if you look it up it’s doing pretty well on sites like rotten tomatoes. It depends where you look actually. It’s definitely not a movie that is universally considered bad. I’m going by general reviews collected across the internet. Not just “where I am”. Or do you mean of the countries where it’s actually screening as of now? Do you know how movie reviews work?

The Crow apologists also need to take into consideration the average age of movie critics and entertainment journalists that are going to be reviewing this film. They grew up watching and loving the original. Even if this new version was the second coming of Christ, they would still be hyper critical. So what do these fans think critics will do to a movie that looks like dogshit and is already being clowned 24/7? If critics, fans and journalists don't want this, who's left to pay to see it?

There are the horny little Bill fans that will see it because he’s “edgy and hot” looking. There will also be people who see it just to shit on it. Then a handful of people who “want to give it a chance”. It seems like the majority of people are not interested though as reception after the trailer has been worse than it was before the trailer. I’d be surprised if this movie makes money and even if it does (like people go see it just to see how bad it is) it’s not going to get good reviews. It’ll be considered bad even if it doesn’t flop financially.

I'm really upset lionsgate did promote BKW more and keep it in cinemas. I was looking and most places in the UK and Europe it's only been in cinemas for a day. That's nothing especially for such a good film! I feel like the info that someone said Bill's PR are pushing BKW and The Crow under the carpet are true and the real focus is Nostefu at the end of the year

BKW is getting great reviews though. I think reviews for The Crow are going to be terrible, like exceedingly terrible. At very least, Boy Kills World will eventually reach cult following status because a lot of people love this movie. The Crow is already universally hated, there’s very few people who think it will be good, the original actors and directors have already trashed it, people involved with Brandon Lee are finding it distasteful, and there’s already the general notion this movie should never be remade. Oh and the trailer is shit. I 100% believe the want The Crow to go away and to brush all the terrible reviews under the rug before they can get started. BKW at least doesn’t make him look like some stupid Jared Leto Joker meme so he has that going for him. As for Nosferatu, I think they are putting way too much hope in a movie that stars someone as wooden and boring as Lily-Rose Depp and it’s not going to do nearly as good as they think but more than likely will be a lot better than The Crow.

I don't know how BKW has "bombed" when it has only been released for less than 72 hours and already grossed $1.6M. Dune Part II only grossed $500k in it's opening weekend in South Africa according to Box Office Mojo. So do they think Dune2 "bombed" as well? I don't get it. Does the person mean International gross opening weekend or just South Africa? Either way, BKW isn't going to break any records, but it is already very far form "bombing".

Good point, it could always pick up speed once it’s released in other countries and venues, plus word of mouth of the people who have seen it getting other people to see it. I too doubt that it will be some huge smashing success but I think that it could pick up a decent enough following to keep it from being an entire flop.

Have you already watched BKW?

Yes and I absolutely loved it. I think that it’s probably not a movie for everyone (due to the gore, violence, and dark humor) but if you like that sort of thing I would highly recommend it. A lot about it reminds me of another one of my favorite movie with similar themes called Upgrade. Probably why I like it so much. It’s more of a cult classic than a box office success (but it didn’t completely bomb).

I don’t want to say too much about BKW because I want people to actually go see it for themselves and it would be hard to explain much without ruining a lot of it. Let’s just say that in a role with absolutely no speaking lines Bill killed it. But it wasn’t just Bill it was everyone. The entire cast. Everything fit just right. I maybe have a mild complaint here and there about some of the pacing but not enough that I would ever say the movie was bad. It’s definitely on my top favorite movies of all time list.

Alida has been on IG a lot last few days bc she has started following a lot more holistic type accounts. She had been for awhile but her "following" has gone up quite a bit since BKW NYC premier 😂 So no doubt she's seen all the pics and videos of him look fucking amazing without her.

Alida is chronically online she may not be posting but she’s definitely watching, lurking, and seeing what is being said about her and Bill. Its obvious that she keeps track of this stuff and has been keeping track of it since she got with Bill. No doubt she’s enraged at all these things that Bill has been doing without her, the attention he’s getting, the rumors about them being broken up (more than likely accurate rumors). I hope that someone in her family has taken away her phone for her own good.

Interesting that none of the Morbergs attended. Wondered if they just decided not to go or none of them were invited at all. I’d assume after what happened last year the Skarsgards would have put something in place to prevent her from pulling a stunt like that again.

bkw premieres in sweden on may 3rd. idk if it'll have a red carpet premiere like ny but i'm just assuming it will because bill is literally the lead. he had a swedish red carpet for both IT movies and stellan recently had one for dune and both eija and valter went to support. alex also had one for the northman. i think it's a nice way for bill to get his friends and family together for his latest project. but like i said i'm just assuming he'll want one. we'll have to wait and see

I mean I don’t know either but he also may want to avoid having one to also make a point that he’s not still with Alida as well as avoiding having any drama with her. I guess we won’t know until the day before or so (since that’s when the premieres usually are). If it comes and goes without anything happening that will be our answer.

Saw Nanna was at Grona Lund too but still no Alida. And of course, no Bill which isn't surprising. Like you mentioned she showed up on her own last year and photobombed Valter and Gustaf. I remember she wasn't even looking in the same camera. Love this!

At very least she could have taken her two kids, or the one kid who is old enough to have fun at the theme park. Guess that’s too much for her if she also can’t brag about it, take photos with the Skarsgard, and get media attention. I mean she could have taken Oona last year but definitely didn’t. Glad she didn’t show up though, just another sign her and Bill are over.

Keep seeing people freaking out about the possibility that Alida will show up with Bill for the Sweden premier for BKW. But is there even gonna be an actual premier, like they did in NYC, in Sweden? I can't find a date on it anywhere. I know it is being released in different countries at different times but if there's not even gonna be an event in Sweden why get all worked up lol

I don’t know the answer to this either some anon said allegedly there’s a premiere for it in May in Sweden I have no way to confirm or deny this information.
