I saw this question posed on tiktok, but I think Tumblr would really enjoy it too.

If a fae creature offered to give one million dollars for a bone chosen at random, how many bones would you allow them to take?

Light clarifications; The fae is not the one choosing the bones. The bone is taken at random. Each bone, no matter the size or importance, is worth a full million dollars. You must also declare the exact number first, you can't go bone-by-bone. You either say 2 or you say 10, you can't work your way up to a higher number. The bones are removed instantaneously, and the money is given immediately as well. You will not get in government trouble for acquiring the money.

Tell me in the tags/replies how many bones you'd let the fae take. And as always, reblog for bigger sample size.

Have some Art Journey Stuff. To get a better grasp on working in 3-d space, I'm following a free course called DrawABox. It goes hard on the fundamentals underlying art. It's hard work. It's mind-numbing at times. It sucks... And it also works because I am seeing myself get better at the concepts that are taught in the course. I'm progressing through it slow as hell, because Real Life gets in the way, and I have a young kid, and then I also want to write and do other hobbies in my free time, and if I don't draw for a while I just tend to forget about it, and. and. and. But anyway. I am still keeping up with the damn course. I drew 250 boxes for it, freehand, according to the way we're supposed to draw 'em in the course. Above are two ellipse-exercises for warm-up - a table of ellipses and elliptical funnels. And the nicer looking one, up in the top left, is about looking at a texture, identifying the cast shadows, drawing those, and then drawing a gradient with those cast shadows from left to right. Haven't finished the full lesson 2 yet, so I don't know if this one is going to pass or not. But hey, still wanted to share it. This is the behind-the-scenes stuff, I guess. The building blocks. The ugly warm-ups. The raw practice. Drawing, for me, unfortunately is a skill that doesn't improve with leaps and bounds merely by doing it. It's something I've got to learn. So learn I will.

Box 1-5, and box 245-250. Yep. While I'm not quite nailing all the convergences, they are so much better already.

May Trope Mayhem Day 2: Mistaken Identity. I'm going to be honest - I don't like this piece at all. I wanted to draw Caius Cosades for Mistaken Identity: "I'm just an old man with a skooma problem." It didn't turn out the way I wanted. Not at all. I don't think he looks much like Caius, even. But in the interest of the event being about sketches, and in the interest of showing that hey, not every art day is gonna be a good day, and hey, sometimes I make something I don't like at all, I'm gonna try and own it regardless.

May Trope Mayhem Day 1: Secret Relationship

Angaredhel the Telvanni Innkeeper and Uleni Heleran, Mages Guild Conjurer. Very much enemies to lovers, and Angaredhel wishes to keep this relationship very much a secret, lest his fellow Telvanni laugh at him.

Angaredhel's an odd name for a Dunmer, and in one instance in Morrowind he's actually referred to as an Altmer, so I headcanon him as having an Altmer parent.

Angaredhel ran the Gateway Inn, the largest tavern in Sadrith Mora. He held the office of Prefect of Hospitality, and he took to that role with enthusiasm and panache, lining his pockets by selling the overpriced scraps of paper that allowed the non-Telvanni access into town. He was tall for a Dunmer, with an almost greenish cast to his skin and pale blue eyes, owing his name and looks to his half-Altmer heritage. Needless to say, Elenwen never frequented the inn.

May Trope Mayhem is a multi-fandom/original creation event open to writers, artists, and creators of all kinds! We’ve put together a list of 30 of our favorite tropes (plus one free day!), one per day through the month of May, and we encourage creators to join us for this month of fun tropey mayhem.

Our goal is to promote motivation and help with habit building, so we’re encouraging authors to keep their ficlets under 1,000 words, artists to stick to making just a sketch, gif makers to only do a single image, etc., as applicable to whatever you’re making.

This event is primarily held on Tumblr, but you’re welcome to participate anywhere Duck Prints Press has an account (you can see all our current platforms here) and we’ll keep our eyes on our tag everywhere!

How can you participate? It’s easy! There’s just a few simple rules:

write a ficlet or a poem, create art, make a gif, or create any other content that you want, aligned with the prompt for the day!

post your correctly tagged fills to Tumblr, and we’ll reblog them! We’ll reskeet works on Bluesky, retoot those on Mastodon, you get the idea. Note: we do not use Twitter.

you must tag warnings such as gore, MCD, sexual content, etc., so that people can make informed decisions!

please also tag fandom and ship, so people can find what interests them!

we ask that you put the tags at the top of your post, so they’re easy to find.

if you write more than 1k words and post the whole text on Tumblr or wherever, please use a read more if the platform allows.

if you create something with NSFW content or potentially triggering material, please put the entire work under a read more.

Sometimes it sucks being the reincarnation of a goddess’s favorite pet.

I’ve always felt ✨a way✨ about Nerevar’s/the Nerevarine’s relationship to Azura. Honestly, any mortal that is jerked around by a god makes me feel uneasy. There’s the whole matter of free will that gets trampled whenever prophecy is involved. If free will is something that even exists in the first place…. Or this is all just a manifestation of my mommy issues.

Anyways, that’s a theme that’ll pop up in Liminal Bridges within the next chapter lol. So in the meantime, poor Teldryn. I’m really stoked on how this turned out. Happy birthday Morrowind!

Ocato was the Eternal Champion from Arena. That's a fairly common headcanon.

So let's up the ante - I don't actually headcanon this, but it's a nice conspiracy for sure.

Ocato is actually a Daedric Doppelganger. He's been swapped out with the real Ocato during his fight with Jagar Tharn. Tharn dies, but takes the real Ocato with him, thus preparing the stage for Mankar Camoran and the Oblivion Crisis.

This is why the Blades failed, and this is why the assassins could murder the Emperor and his sons: evil!Ocato set it all up from his position as the Emperor's right hand.

I love conspiracies in TES!

Whether they be canon, fanon, or someone's personal head canon, I love hearing and reading them all regardless of how likely they are to be true.

I'll start with an easy one that the lore pretty much directly states:

Ulfric is compromised and his rebellion was programmed by the Thalmor. They maintain a distant, if subconscious, influence on him despite him cutting contact with Elenwen.
