I swear it was only last week I held my eldest nephew in my arms for the first time when he came home from the hospital, so small literally and figuratively and now he’s bursting at the seams with personality and character and articulation, with an exuberance only reached by learning something new everyday, like words and problem solving. Funny you say that, You won’t believe what Ayahs sparked me to post this..

At times, the Quran has the profound ability to take my breath away. I find myself nearly gasping for air, needing a moment to regain my composure after reading certain Ayahs. There are instances when an Ayah reaches me, almost finds me when I don't even realize I have been seeking it at a pivotal moment of my life, delivering the wisdom I need to hear. Other times it brings forth to me reflections that shift my entire perspective, spinning me off my axis. The Quran becomes a balm for my troubled heart, offering the comfort I desperately seek to sooth my anguish and qualms. The experience is overwhelmingly powerful, intensely moving, and articulate.

It knocks the literal wind out of me.
