pokemon | trainer series | FIRE TYPE TRAINERS
fire type trainers are passionate people, going after everything with a high amount of energy with the risk that they may burn out before they get it finished. they never feel by halves - their emotions are often overwhelming, even for them, for better or for worse. they can come across as overpowering to new people, but often they are simply just excited about new opportunities.

They're a little awkward on their stubs, but they can! Like wobbly, weird spiders.
My Wobbuffet likes to go with me when I run errands in town. He really likes the post office.
Oh how cute! I didn’t even realize Wobuffet could run

I’m a guy who’s a coordinator and I specialize in fairy types which a lot of people think is weird. What are some misconceptions about people and certain Pokémon you’ve noticed?
Ugh, gender stereotypes annoy me
I think too many associate Fairy types with women and Steel or Dark types with men.
I’ve also noticed that it’s pretty much impossible for a woman to own a Salazzle and not be accused of being loose
And don’t get me started on Hypno…

any tips for raising a bunch of poison types?
Buy a lot of antidotes, wear heavy clothes, and stay away from the spiky parts
Also, Poison type pokemon can safely eat expired food, as the bacteria that harms humans and other pokemon doesn’t affect them

Cacturne anon here! I have officially made it back to civilization, the Cacturne lead me here last night (always carrying Pokeblock on you, kids). Anyways, one of them followed me out of the desert and to the Pokemon Center, and he has joined my team! ...So, any advice on raising a Cacturne? And how to make sure he gets along with my Groyvle and Breloom?
Cacturne mostly live on a liquid diet. They can go for a long time without water, but it’s best to feed them once a week.
They’re nocturnal, so it’ll take a while for yours to adjust to a diurnal schedule
Cacturne aren’t known for living with pokemon other than Cacturne in the wild, but Grovyle and Breloom are friendly pokemon, so they should get along fine

does female blazikens/combuskens lays unfertilized eggs?
Yes they do! Without a male to fertilize with, they will not hatch into Torchic

You just know it’s a slow news day when the leading story is a Cacturne with it’s head stuck in a bucket.

Cacturne go from stationary during the day to fluid and wild movements at night. It is the kind of Pokémon that stays still until you look away, and then suddenly is right behind you.

Is there any special care you give to cactus pokemon to prepare for a contest? Anything you do to get that cellulose poppin?
desert grass types are weird cause they’re simultaneously high maintenance & low maintenance so like u rly dont gotta water them much but good luck finding out what The Magical Amount is because it varies from pokemon to pokemon and wildly depends on what the atmosphere around u is like and it’s a nightmare.
but honestly, simple is best when it comes to grooming grass types as a whole–give em some pokeblock & watch their skin glow!!! and always always a day in the sun before the contest. maractus like to play in the sun & so do cacnea to a lesser extent, cacturne are literally just giant cats that love to just pass out standing up in a sunbeam.
sorry thats kind of a boring answer lol. all my pokemon kinda have the same contest routine with few exceptions!
(also i have an IC pokemon self-insert blog where i answer questions like this ftr >w> @moonrisebeckoning)

is it true that ho-oh can sometimes be seen flying around pride parades / events?
Well Pride typically does showcase the Rainbow Bird in floats, I believe if Ho Oh was going to show up and bless anywhere, Pride would be a perfect place to do it

It’s tough work, but it really can be for the better! They call us in to help out with endangered species (we’re the reason Lapras is off the list!) and we’re responsible for a sizeable chunk of the starter pokemon that are distributed across the world for young trainers to pick up!
It does take a lot of work and dedication, and you have to accept early on that the pokemon you’re called to breed don’t always line up with the pokemon you’re hoping to breed. But the cool thing is that when you spend that much time with one species, you can really learn to love any of them pretty fast.
It should come as no surprise that there are shiny breeders, but to become one you have to have a special license and the ability to home all of the Pokémon that are not going to be sold at your facility
