Don’t be Sorry pt.2
Tumblr media
(A iron claw fanfic)
Time seemed to slow for Kevin. He would run up to her fence post every morning hoping and praying to see her. But he never did. It was always some random man he had never met taking care of her horses. Not getting to kiss or even see Hazel in the morning made it seem like his day never started. The long slow days turned into long slow weeks and led into long slow months. Kevin kept his mind occupied with wrestling. Diving head deep into the training and matches.
Kevin found comfort in his brothers. They provided him with a good enough distraction from Hazel. Kevin never wanted to forget about Hazel. Even though that is what his brothers and parents wanted him to do. Kevin liked to think he was just waiting for her to come back from a vacation. He kept hope because after the first month Hazel was gone she had sent him a postcard. This made him happy because it solidified the idea of her still thinking about him.
Every day Kevin prayed for a tour in California. He didn’t care if it was a beneficial match or not. He just wanted to see Hazel's face. But unknowing to Kevin his father avoided the California matches like the plague. It was a late night and it was just David and his father talking in the kitchen.
“So there was a guy in Cali askin’ to wrestle Kev. You gonna take him up on that offer” David asked, his mouth full of food. His father scoffed at the question and answered.
“God knows that boy doesn’t need to be goin’ to California” his answer made David cock a curious brow.
“What do you mean? It’s not like those boys down there ain’t no good” David was curious about his fathers response leaning in closer to his dad.
“If he goes down there he’ll be looking for that girl. She’s not good enough for my boy. She’ll only hurt him” he grumbled and spoke in a low tone as to not have any eavesdroppers overhear.
“What! She was amazin’ dad. Didn’t you like her? I’d think seein’ her would put our Kev back in a better position” David tried to argue with his fathers claim. Now in disbelief that his father would say such things.
“She’s not loyal. She had the choice to stay here with Kevin and she didn’t. Why should he stick around for her if she ain’t gonna do the same” he started to get more and more riled up the longer he talked about her.
“Dad. You’re bein’ unreasonable. She gotta take care of her family. If Kevin was in that situation he’d do the same thing” David protested trying to reason with his father but this reply sent him over the edge. Jack slammed his palm onto the table and barked at David.
“She had a good-for-nothing brother that would have cared for her! She abandoned my son! End of discussion” he stormed off into the deep emptiness of their home.
David sat in awe. He didn’t know his father felt this way about Hazel. He wanted to tell Kevin but he knew this would cause a rift between his brother and father. David sat at the now empty table conflicted. Decisions battling in his head, he wanted the best for his brother but also the best for the family. David thought for the time being he’d keep quiet. It’d be sooner or later before Kevin found out the truth.
Kevin had started to rely on the mailbox. Every Monday evening he’d check the mailbox. Hoping and waiting for a letter or postcard. It would be his new routine. If she wasn’t in the pasture in the morning there was hope for something in the mail.
Hazel had only sent postcards once a month. She’d write very little. Just that she was okay and that she missed him. She’d never give him updates on her mother. Slowly once a month turned to once every other month, then once in a few months, to only on the holidays.
After about two years of her sending postcards and letters she had just abruptly stopped. Kevin didn’t want to think the worst so he just believed she was too busy and something had come up. With her lack of communication Kevin started to go full time wrestling mode with his father now that he was out of highschool.
Kevin’s brothers were there to be his net. They kept him busy. They fully leaned into him being the caretaker brother. Letting Kevin step in and take care of them and their problems. Kevin slowly through the course of time kevin had ever so slightly started to forget what Hazel acted like. Then he forgot what she sounded like. Then finally he had forgotten what she looked like. He had busier himself so much with his family and wrestling. Giving himself a busy schedule and distracting lifestyle he slowly etched Hazel out of his thoughts. Think of her as a small fleeting girl that he had a small fling with.
“So Kev. You hear from you know who?” David asked while driving out to a party with Kevin. They all seemed to change their mannerisms about Hazel. Trying to not get Kevin’s hopes up by saying her name. They treated her like a taboo word, a thing too controversial to even utter its name.
“Oh no. She must’ve just moved on, living her own life there now” Kevin replied quietly. He was still in the stage of acceptance about it. But she still is a tender topic to him.
“Have you moved on brother?” He asked his question being much more sincere, wanting to try to break through to his brother.
“Me. Oh yeah. It was just a fling. No need for me to get wrapped up with a girl I only knew for a few months” Kevin said, masking his doubt and sadness with a tone of confidence and composure.
“Well brother there’s a load of girls here who’d kill for a chance with you. So don’t linger on the past” David cheered putting Kevin in lighter spirits.
It had been around three years since Hazel stopped writing and five years since she had left. There was no sense of lingering for her anymore to Kevin. She was just a faint memory, a ghost in his past. Even with this he had made the habit of always running by her post but he never thought of her anymore when running by it. He checked the mail but thought of doing it for his family instead of her.
It has been the start of spring. It was still cold in the morning. There was a small fog in the air but even with these conditions Kevin went out on his run. He followed his usual path. He had made a habit of putting his head down when passing her pasture so as to not get his hopes up. He knew he was close to the fence post because the grass seems healthier by her pasture. It was a quiet morning. All he could hear was his heavy breathing, feet stepping on the grass. His thoughts were clouded with thoughts and plans of the day. But as if everything had come to a stop, it was silent and all he heard is a soft.
“Look at you, such a pretty girl” the voice was tender and loving. Because of the distance it was quiet. He hadn’t thought of her voice in ages. But the moment the last syllable escaped her lips he finally remembered whose voice it had belonged to.
Kevin stopped dead in his tracks and turned to the fence post he had refused to look at for years. Through the fog he almost hoped it was that man who had been there but it wasn’t. Through the faint fog he could see her. Hazel standing and holding her horse's head in her hands. She had changed. Her hair was lighter from the sun, skin tanner and she was brown taller. Kevin couldn’t believe his eyes. It was really her. She seemed almost like a myth to him. For the first time ever his legs shook from his run. He stumbled to the fence post. He looked out at her like she was a rare animal at a zoo. He just observed.
Hazel knew Kevin was there. She could hear him running past. She was surprised he kept up running by her pasture. She almost hoped he did stop. She never thought she’d get this far. Hazel was scared to look away from her horse. She didn’t wanna believe it was real. After what felt like hours she finally turned her head to the side to glance at Kevin.
When they locked eyes it was like they both turned into deer in headlights. They didn’t know what to do. They each waited for the other to do something. After a few minutes Kevin finally thought of something to say.
“You’re back” is all he could muster, his voice quivering.
“Yeah… I didn’t think I’d be gone that long. Hazel's voice is small and quiet. Guilt wrecked her entire being.
“What. What did I do wrong” Hazel wanted to cry, hearing the hurt in his voice. She had finally broken from her closeness to her horse and stumbled herself to the fence.
“Nothing!” She accidentally cried out but quickly dropped her head to hide her sorrowful face, and continued more composed, “you did nothing wrong Kev. It was just- it was all me. My-“ Hazel choked on her words. She felt so guilty she felt like she was gonna be sick, “my mother died… and I just- I just couldn’t leave her.” Kevin was frozen. He thought this was the outcome, but he was still saddened knowing now how true it was.
“Hazel. I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine what you went through.” Kevin was understanding and he wanted to reach out and comfort her but he didn’t know if he could.
“I’m sorry Kevin. I’m so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you” Hazel started to break. She kept her head down to hide the tears. Kevin was quick to tell she was crying and was crippling with guilt.
“No, no, no Hazel please. Don’t be sorry. You did nothing. It’s alright” Kevin lifted her head to face his. He rubbed her cheeks with his thumbs trying to reassure and comfort her.
“I abandoned you… I promised I’d come back” Hazel had shut her eyes not being able to face Kevin.
“And look at you. You came back” Kevin said softly and sweetly, causing her to flutter her eyes open to look up at Kevin. Seeing a soft genuine smile on his face causes a little smile to creep on hers.
To Hazel it felt like old times when looking at Kevin like this. Even though things have changed so much. Kevin was much taller and bigger muscular wise. His hair was shaggy and better kept short. His skin had been much more bronze then the last time she saw him. She wanted to kiss him so bad, but she knew it wasn’t a good idea. After calming down after a while she pulled herself away from Kevin.
“Thank you for understanding Kev. I’m happy to see you again” she said softly with a smile.
“You don’t understand how much I missed your voice. I’m glad you’re finally home” Kevin’s voice slightly shook. He softly caressed her face. She was pulling him in, just like the first time he saw her.
“I am too. I missed you Kev” she whispered leaning deeper into his touch.
“I missed you too Hazel. You don’t even know” Kevin replied and was slowly leaning closer to her. He wanted to kiss her so bad but he didn’t know if it was okay to do.
“I don’t wanna hurt you.” She started feeling the distance between them. She so desperately wanted his lips on hers but she’s almost scared to.
“You won’t. If you’re not gonna leave again you won’t. Please Hazel I want you back” Kevin whines quietly. He couldn’t help himself. He was overrun with emotions. He couldn’t bear to even think about being angry with her.
“I’m not going anywhere” she ended with a small smile.
This was all the confirmation Kevin needed. He was quick but gentle when first kissing the girl. He couldn’t help but be needy while kissing her. He had needed and pleaded for her to come back to him and in this moment she was. The kiss was long, almost like they didn't need to breathe. Not feeling close enough she broke away from the kiss momentarily and swiftly climbed over the fence. Kevin had quickly wrapped his arms around her and held her as close as possible, continuing the kiss. A giggle started to escape Hazel's lips. Every time she tried to break away from the kiss Kevin would just pull her back in. Her laugh soon infected Kevin and he let out a small chuckle of his own

Dirt and Grime pt. 4
Tumblr media
(A Barney Ross fanfic)
The disappearance of Honey was a hard fact to believe. Barney didn’t believe it. He didn’t want to believe that she was gone when the mission had seemingly abruptly ended. The next morning he searched and search for her. He dug holes to see if she was buried. The rest of his team had to practically force him into the plane to leave. Barney was empty and cold. He stayed at Honeys home in hope of her coming home. He never answered his phone. The team started to go on missions without him.
Slowly over time every thought he had of her was in regret. He knew it was a bad idea to even get close to the girl. Soon the sight of her started to make Barney sick. He soon couldn’t handle the thought of her. He blamed himself for all of this. So one night he left. The only remains of Honey he took with him was her dog. He thought that if he left the dog to die, it would finalize the thought of Honey being dead.
Barney had finally went home. He would start to want to make himself busy. He’d tweak his bike until nothing needs to be fixed. At first he felt happy to finally see his bike all done but the thought of honey and her smiling face crept into his mind. Enraged at himself he purposely broke his bike to fix it up all over again.
The days blurred and unknowing to him it had been six months since Honey had been taken. He fixed his bike, took care of the dog, arranged and rearranged his apartment over and over again. His mind wanting to keep busy from the thought of her. He even renamed her dog.
After this long period Lee was fed up. He went to Barney’s apartment. He barged into his friends home, looking at Barney sit at the table tweaking a part from his motorcycle.
“You need to get out. Can’t be sitting here feeling sorry for yourself” Lee barked causing Barney to quickly get annoyed and frustrated.
“Who are you to come in here and tell me what I need to do!” Barney yelled back slapping his hands on the coffee table in front of him.
“If I don’t do it who will! You’ll die here! Rot away! That’s not you” he stepped closer to Barney glaring him deep in the eyes.
“What if I wanna rot! I deserve to because of what I did” Barney lowered his head trying to hide the fear in his eyes.
“She made her choice. Every mission everyone has their fair shot of biting the bullet. She chose to go. She knew the risks” Lee spoke sternly l, his voice harsh but not demeaning. He knew how much Honey affected his friend. But he needed to get his friend back.
“I could’ve done something!” Barney’s voice cracked at the sentiment of his words. He repeated that statement over and over in his head but it hurt to admit out loud.
“Yeah you could’ve. You could’ve helped her, but then I also could’ve died. You’d never be satisfied. Something would’ve happened to her or anyone else. It’s just how it goes” Lee was getting riled up but he took a breath and calmed down “she died in battle like how she would’ve wanted. Take that and move on. You can’t sit here and rot away in this house. You need to take action. You need to be out there. Lead your team” Lees words sunk deep into Barney. He sat in silence trying to figure out what to do. But after long deliberations in his head he spoke.
“Fine. I’ll go back. For… her” Barney said lowly. He couldn’t deny he had ulterior motives. He thought going back on the feild and putting his life in on the line. Honey would leave his thoughts. He also even thought he’d get hit in the head and forget all about her.
Lee was happy he got through to Barney. He told Barney of an upcoming mission and Barney was quick to accept. When Lee left, Barney dove back into his head. He thought of death on the field or even getting to forget about Honey. Barney looked at the dog. The dog seemingly in his own world. Not even looking at Barney. Barney decided that he’d wanna push through this mission not for himself, but for the dog.
When Barney was at the plane his crew was happy to see him again. Barney was glad to be back into this world. He wanted to keep with warmth he felt on the plane, he liked being back in his element. The plane headed out to their mission area and Barney had seemingly forgotten all about Honey now focusing on the mission ahead.
During those six months Honey was kept alive. Only by a thread. She was tortured, mauled and manipulated. Her senses were tested, her hope draining but her determination staying strong. She had been taken and tortured over the information containing her parents. She kept up the story of that her parents where dead but the people who took her didn’t believe a word.
The kidnappers were restless with her so they decided to take their harm to the next level. They decided to strain and manipulate her mind. If she wouldn’t comply they were going to reconstruct her to comply. They trained her to fight blind. At first she’d fight for food, then water, but then they made her fight for the privilege to see, or to get to have the chance to hear. They’d blind fold her and make her fight their men. If she won she got rewarded but if she lost she got beat to a pulp. But then it changed to even if she won she got tortured but to a lesser degree to losing. She was striving to live. They made it where no matter what she did she’d be wanting to live. Unknowing to her they slowly shifted her from fighting their men, to fighting other people they kidnapped. She was trained to only trust her senses but to not trust her brain.
They would make her constantly be in fight or flight. They would shock her brain to make her forget her past but not enough to fully erase it. They’d be able to jumpstart her memories but she’d never crack about her family. They finally tested her. They covered her eyes to make her blind, but they put her in the field of a mission. They put scents on their men and told her that if she were to lay a hand on the scented men she’d get punished. They made it out that the unscented men were still theirs but it wasn’t. She was fighting innocent people. People they had thought of threats.
They never gave her guns, they only allowed her knives. It took a while but after a few months they were able to fully brain wash her to be their solider. She had forgotten who she really was. She only knew to do as they say to stay alive. The men would out bulky bullet proof fabrics on her and bulked her up in armor to come off as a man. She always wore a helmet to match her armor and to keep her hidden.
Honey had been perfect for them. So they decided to bring her out in a raid. They put eye black around her eyes and an earpiece in her ear. She wore her armor, but they blind folded her and put the helmet on. In her earpiece was someone at their base telling her the surroundings and where to go. She had adjusted to this new code of where to move and how to move.
They land the helicopter and go to their hiding place prepping for the raid. They have instructions to Honey. She obliged with their demands and followed the group. She stood guard but when the sound of a bomb going off made her know it was someone attacking the raid.
Honey and the other men split at the sound. There was heavy trees and brush so Honey stayed hidden. Listening intently to the sounds of the guns and explosions. She could tell the distance of the guns and she knew she was good. But she soon heard a sound of footsteps. She stayed on guard but once she knew the owner of the footsteps noticed her she was quick to emerge from hiding. She ducked immediately knowing they were gonna shoot since she heard the sound of a gun they were holding.
Honey double checked for the scent, but once she knew it wasn’t one of her own she knew it was time to attack. Her and the attacker went toe to toe. Honey was able to dodge shots he fired at her and she kicked the gun out of the attackers hand. She noted where the gun had landed in case she had to use it later. They went back and forth giving each other blows and blows. They were both skilled and it was struggle. Honey tried to use her knives and she landed a few slices and cuts but she knew it wasn’t anything fatal or important. Her attacker was skilled and made it hard for her to land many cuts.
The fight drew out and was starting to become more frantic. They were on the ground trying desperately to land blows on each other. After a while the man had finally kicked the helmet off the girl. She was still blindfolded and was now in a primal state to win. She had still fought with the man. But he had thrown her off of him but with her blindfold in his hand. He had seemingly ripped off the blindfold. But when he threw her she knew he had thrown her next to the gun.
Hastily she opened her eyes, her eyes burning and tearing at the unfamiliar light but she pressed on. Grabbing the gun and pointing it to the man. But the man was frozen in shock. Honey doesn’t know why she didn’t shoot. She was in shock from seeing the light of day her breath frantic and fear sprayed on her eyes. The man looking down at the girl wasn’t just anyone. It was Gunnar.
Gunnar was breathless seeing honey. She was in such a state. He didn’t know what to do but he knew he had to do something. Honeys brain had finally caught up and she went to pull the trigger to shoot at Gunnar. Not knowing who he was. Gunnar was able to read her actions and he dove from the bullets. He quickly slipped by her holding the gun holding it against her throat getting behind a small tree pinning her against it with the gun.
Honey thrashed at the action. She tried to escape but it was futile. She was losing oxygen but she tried. But after a while she couldn’t and she passed out. Once Gunnar knew she’d be out for a while he let go. He cut the wire to her ear and stripped her of the bulletproof vests and armor they put on her. He waited there with her. But once he heard that the crew had killed all of the men in the raid he picked her up slinging her over his shoulder.
He walked back to the plane but he got there first. He put her in the plane and laid her down on the bench. He waited for the group to arrive but once he did he stopped them before getting in the plane.
“Lee. I found something. A hostage.” Gunnar lied as to not work anyone up and to not get Barney all frantic.
“That’s weird why’d they want to bring a hostage to a raid” Lee said in confusion.
Lee and Barney were the first to walk into the plane and Gunnar followed.
The moment Barney saw her he wanted to break. He quickly went down to her side. He moved the hair out of her face to make sure she was real. Barney hated seeing her with the eye black on, and he could see the noticeable weight loss she had gone through.
“She was fighting alongside them but was blind folded. She didn’t even know it was me. They bulked her up to look like a man” Gunnar explained.
“Everyone load up, we don’t know how fast their reinforcements are. They won’t be happy to have her missing so let’s go” Lee commanded and everyone followed.
Gunnar and Lee sat in the pilot seats while Barney sat on the ground next to a sleeping Honey. He couldn’t break his eyes from her. He was leaned close to her lightly brushing her hair out of her face. But unknowing to her she’d been awake for a while but waited for this moment. Once he was close she snapped her eyes open and quickly in one swift moment she had grabbed the side of Barney’s head slamming it on the bench she was just laying on and grabbed the knife from his belt. She pinned him to the bench and was going to stab him in the back but Caesar grabbed her arms, causing her to drop the knife. She was locked in his arms thrashing but she had seen a pole near the top of the plane. She jumped and raised her legs up and locked her legs to the pole and twisted her body slipping out of his arms. She quickly clung to the pole and released her legs and kicked Caesar. She dropped from the pole and quickly grabbed the knife and went to stab Barney again but Gunnar had gotten behind her and knocked her out with a fire extinguisher that was behind his seat.
“She’s an animal” Caesar said in shock. Barney was quick to shoot him a glare for his words.
“What’s wrong with her” Barney asked Gunnar but he knew that he wouldn’t have an answer.
“Don’t know. She attacked me even without the blindfold.” Gunnar answered still looking down in awe at the passed out girl on the ground.
“They must’ve done something to her brain” Barney noted as he picked her up. Even with everything she did he still loved holding her in his arms.
Barney put her in the corner of the plane and strapped her to the wall in case she were to wake up again. Barney hated seeing her like this. This was even worse than her being gone. She was different. She didn’t seem to know who he was, even more she didn’t know who she even was.
Barney took the executive decision to keep her in the hanger and look over her. He knew he could fix her somehow but he just didn’t know how to do this. She was in bad shape. Barney stayed in the back of the plane. He kept his eyes on her making sure she was okay while she slept. He was hoping she would snap out of this through her sleep but he knew it wasn’t gonna happen. But all he could do was hope for her to still be in there. Somewhere.

Don’t Be Sorry
Tumblr media
( iron claw fanfic )
The countryside was beautiful. Serine. Empty. Quiet. A life that was what Kory Lanecher thought fit best for his family. He had moved his family to a ranch in Texas that his cousin had owned but sold to him. His ranch was a good size and he wanted to keep his kids busy so he purchased them horses to raise and in the future ride.
When moving to this ranch Kory had two kids. Barren the oldest and Hazel. The two siblings were teenagers when they arrived at the ranch. These two were no strangers to the ranch lifestyle, so Kory had purchased them horses and other livestock to care for on the ranch to keep them busy.
On a warm summer day at the beginning of June. Hazel was out on a small ride through the fields around the ranch. She was out by a small creek surrounded by brush and trees. She hopped off the horse and took a small walk around herself to let her horse get a break and have some water. Hazel was walking along the side of the creek. The faint sound of yelling and loud laughing perks her interest. The sound was further down the creek and she followed it.
Looking through the branches of a tree she sees a group of boys playing around with each other and the water. There were five boys, two of them looked to be around her age, and one seemed slightly younger and the last two where younger. They all were in homemade shorts cut from jeans. The way they all played around with each other seemed so loving and fun. Hazel could sense how close they all were.
Hazel was leaning against the tree and her hand was holding her steady against a branch. After a while the feeble branch snapped. The sound caught the attention of the boys and the rough housing abruptly stopped.
“Hey! Who’s out there!” The eldest brother had shouted in an aggressive and protective manner. This sends a panic in Hazel and she quickly reveals herself.
“Please! Don’t freak out. I was just going on a walk” she replied nervously as she revealed herself, “I didn’t mean to startle you” the sight of Hazel appearing from the tree sent a wave of relief to the boys.
“What brings you all the way out here?” The blonde brother asked with a playful, almost flirtatious tone. This made Hazel relax more and she walked closer to the boys.
“I live at the Lane Ranch, I was just hanging around” she answered with a smile as she saw the younger boys frantically trying to find a shirt to cover themselves.
“Woah! You’re with the new folks that came in!” The eldest brother had exclaimed in realization.
“Yes, I’m Hazel Lanechart. Nice to finally meet my neighbors” she put out her hand to the eldest.
“We’re the Adkisson’s . I’m Kevin, this is my brother David, brother Kerry, little brother Mike, and littlest brother Chris” Kevin said in a polite tone as he took Hazel’s hand and shook it.
A cheeky smirk crosses David’s lips as he takes Hazel's hand and pressed the back of her hand to his lips and said charmingly “It’s sure a pleasure to meet a beauty like yourself” this action caused a blush to cross Hazels cheek but masked it with a soft laugh at his action.
“Are you all this charmin’?” Hazel asked playfully as she pulled her hand away from the boy.
“I dunno, maybe stick around and find out!” Kerry had used his hand to splash water on the girl.
“Kerry!” Kevin was quick to try to scold his brother but Hazel had retaliated with kicking the water right back at Kerry.
Kerry, David and Mike had immediately teamed up to start splashing Hazel. Kevin had joined Hazel in trying to splash the other boys. Laugher erupted through all of them but after a while Hazel had remembered that she had left her horse unattended. Once the splashing had stopped Hazel had decided to leave.
“It’s been a pleasure boys, but I gotta get goin’.” Hazel said, trying to recollect her breath from laughing for so long. The boys let out playful fake groans of disappointment.
“Lemme walk you back” Kevin offered and she nodded in reply.
“Don’t be a stranger Hazel” David called out in his charming manner as the two started to walk back up the creek.
The two of them walked down the creek. Both wet from the events earlier.
“You and your brothers are quite the bunch” Hazel complemented in a kind hearted manner.
“Yeah we’re a handful. You got any siblings?” Kevin asked, letting a small chuckle escape his lips.
“Yeah I have an older brother. Barren, y’all seem like you’d get along.” She answered with a smile on her lips at the thought.
“I bet, but you’re pretty fun yourself” Kevin comforted.
The two finally reached where Hazel had left her horse. She was so thankful that it had not walked off. Kevin was caught off guard seeing the horse, and wasn’t expecting to see Hazel just to hop on the horse so casually.
“Well I’ll have to catch up with you boys later” Hazel said with a smile looking down at him from the horse.
“You should come around the house. We’d love to have you around” he replied smiling at the thought.
“We’ll see,” she said, backing up her horse from the creek and turning him to face back to the way her house lays. “I’ll see you around Kevin” she finished sweetly as she waved him goodbye before riding off to head back home.
Kevin had a big stupid grin stuck on his face as he waved goodbye to hazel. It stayed there as he walked back to his brothers at the creek. They all hollard and whistled when he returned. Once Kevin got back they decided to go home and tell their mother and father all about the girl they had encountered.
Kevin felt like a little kid waiting for a package on his doorstep, almost every day he seemed to look out the window and wait for her. He’d ask his father every day if he saw her or even a member of her family out in the fields or even in the distance. He wanted to see her again. He wondered about her, trying to figure out small things about her.
One morning he went out on a run, but he ran further than he usually would. He ran and saw a fence that didn’t belong to his father. He ran along the fence and was shocked to see Hazel. She wasn’t in the shorts and tank top he had seen her in last seen her in. She wore a jacket and pants, her hair up and gloves covered her hands. She was pulling a small wheelbarrow full of hay. She seemed to be in her own world. He watched in awe as she spread out the flakes of hay. He could see two horses in the distance coming up to follow her for the hay. He knew it was simple but he was entranced by her. Kevin jogged up to the fence post she was closest to. A huge smile on his face as he sees her up close.
“Mornin’ stranger” he says in a chipper tone but breathes from the run. Hazel was caught off guard seeing him but her shock was quickly replaced by a smile.
“Oh! Kevin. What brings you out here at five in the mornin’?” She said with a small giggle seeing him.
“Nothing much, just out on a run. I see your feedin’ the beasts” his smile never wavering looking at the girl.
“Oh yeah, no sleepin’ in with these two.” She answers quickly, throwing out the rest of the flakes next to her.
“So, I was thinkin’ maybe you can come by the house today? Me and my brothers miss ya” Kevin asks, leaning up against the fence, trying to get as close as he can to the girl.
“Sure, I think I’m free this afternoon. I’ll see ya then?” She replied with a small smile on her face.
“Sounds perfect” he smiled brightly at her response.
“Okay well I don’t wanna delay your run so I’ll head off. I’ll see you soon Kevin” Hazel said waving him goodbye as he started to head back to her home, still dragging the wheel barrel.
“See you soon Hazel” he watched her walk back, making sure she was okay the entire walk back.Once she was out of sight he ran back to his house, his giddy grin back on his face.
Once the clock struck noon, Kevin sat on the couch looking out the window. Like a dog waiting for its master, Kevin sat waiting to see Hazel. His brothers would tease the sight, but Kevin didn’t think anything of it. At around three o'clock Hazel had driven to the boys house. When she had stopped the truck, Kevin was quick to leave the house to greet her. Even with all the teasing ,the rest of the boys had quickly ran out of the house to do the same.
“Hey boys!” Hazel waved at them as she left her truck. She walked up onto the porch and laughed when they hugged her as a greeting. Her finally realizing how quickly comfortable these boys get.
“Thank the lord you finally showed up! Kevin couldn’t stop lookin’ out the window waitin’ for you!” Kerry teased. His comment made Hazel giggle at the thought and Kevin to grow red at being exposed.
“Don’t listen to them Hazel, lemme show you around” David butted in, talking to her in a playful charming voice. He stood behind her holding her shoulder and guided her to walk down the porch.
David led her out to the garage with the rest of the boys following. The garage door was open and was full of weights and homemade weight machines. Hazel laughed at the sight of the weights and said.
“Oh so here’s why you’re all so big”
“What? Don’t tell me you like yourself a string bean!” David teased as he pushed her on. Hazel only laughed and shook her head no in reply as he pushed her forward.
David pushed her to the back of the house. She was shocked to see the giant wrestling ring. She inspected the ring. Grazing her hand over the ropes as if to make sure it was even real.
“Y’all really like your wrestling” Hazel commented as she felt the canvas.
“Our dad was an amazin’ wrestler” Kevin explained coming up to stand next to Hazel, “He is Fritz Von Erich”
“That’s amazing. Are any of ya gonna wrestle professionally?” She asked, turning around looking at the boys. This question made Kevin’s eyes brighten and he quickly nodded.
“I’m doin’ discuss. I'm hopin’ to be an olympic athlete” Kerry answered.
“You definitely look strong enough to be an Olympian.” Hazel complemented with a smile. Kevin kept his gaze on Hazel. Her treatment towards his brothers warmed his heart.
“Speaking of dad, there he is,” David said as he saw his father approaching the group. Hazel was quick to dust herself off and to stand up straight when facing their father.
“Nice to meet you sir. I’m Hazel Lanecher.” She said, putting her hand out to shake his, speaking in a respectful and mannered tone.
“So you’re the girl that’s got my boys in a tissy. Nice to finally meet you, I’m Jack Barton” he replied in his own playful but still polite manner while shaking her hand. “What brought your family here, miss. Lanecher”
“My fathers cousin owned the ranch we are at now. My father needed a change of pace from Montana so we moved down here.” Hazel answered her tone not wavering wanting to make a good impression on their father.
“Well I’ll have to meet the old man sometime, if he’s got such a wonderful daughter, I bet he’s not so bad himself” he says with a chuckle before leaving the boys. The boys all laugh like little school boys.
“Let’s go up to the lake!” David exclaimed, getting the idea in an instant. All the brothers yelled to agree besides Kevin.
“Well would you want to go with us Hazel?” Kevin asked not wanting to force Hazel into it, even though he wanted to go just as much.
“Of course! I haven’t gotten the proper chance to see the sights” she answered in excitement.
“Then let’s go!” David exclaims excitedly as he picks up Hazel and pulls her over his shoulder. The action made her burst out in laughter as he carried her.
“David brother put her down!” Kevin tried to say sternly but he couldn’t stop laughing.
David paraded her through the house. Pretending to drop her when going up the stairs and trying to lift her feet up to make it seem like they’d go through the ceiling fan. Kevin thought of it as all good fun, but he couldn’t help the feeling of wanting to be the one to be playing around with Hazel like that.
Kevin had grabbed his keys, Kerry had successfully snuck a small cooler of beer and they headed out to the truck. David had wanted to drive but Kevin insisted on it. Since Hazel was the guest Kevin had her sit in the truck with him, while the rest of the boys had to sit in the bed.
“So what does your brother do” Kevin asked trying to fill the small silence in the truck.
“Barren and I stay home and take care of the ranch most of the time. Dad likes to think he does all the work, but he barely leaves the house” she answered in a chipper tone. Her feet up on the dash, and sitting against kevin to be comfortable.
“Next time you come by, bring your brother” Kevin offered and this cussed Hazel to let out a small snicker.
“I dunno, I think you boys would eat him alive. He’s all skinny and tiny. You’d crush him in one hug” Hazel said with a playful manner.
“Well if he's anythin’ like you I think he’ll do just fine” Kevin says then letting out a small amused chuckle.
The boys arrived at the Lake and they were quick to strip off their shirts, socks and shoes and jump in. Kevin and Hazel brought out the small cooler of beer and even a small radio. Hazel placed the cooler on the small doc and unknowing to her, David had snuck up to the edge of the doc and swiftly grabbed her ankle and pulled her into the water. The quick squeal then followed by a loud splash of water alerted Kevin. He looked into the water to see a laughing Kevin, and a now fully drenched Hazel emerging from the water.
“David!” Hazel yelled as she gasped for newfound air.
Hazel quickly sprung onto David’s shoulders and dunked him into the water. The sight made the other brothers burst in laughter. When David remerged he had a devilish look on his face. He quickly grabbed her sides and picked Hazel up and flung her into the water. Hazel wanted revenge. She was quick to swim back to David but he was prepared. Any attempt she tried to make to dunk or even move David was futile. After a while Hazel was ready to give up, but unbeknownst to her Kevin had gotten into the water and he saw her struggle to dunk his brother. So with David distracted by Hazel, Kevin came up behind his brother and grabbed his waist and threw him just like he threw Hazel. Seeing this Hazel cheered on Kevin.
Hazel had found her way out of the lake and back on the doc. She took off her now wet boots and socks and set them in the sun to dry. She had also taken off her shirt to dry as well. She was left in a tank top and shorts, but was as wet as all the other boys. As the day started to drift into night she calmed down and stayed out of the water. Her and Kevin sat on the back of the doc both with a beer in their hands. Hazel was just listening to Kevin talk and talk about him and his brothers. Kevin in turn listened to her talk about the cold and snowy life she had back in Montana.
Once it had gotten late enough they had decided to head home. The younger boys were asleep by the time they reached their house, Kevin and David carried the younger boys to their beds and Kerry just walked himself to his. David wished Hazel a goodnight while still trying to charm the girl. Kevin had decided to walk her out to her truck. Hazel sat in her truck but leaned out the open window to talk to Kevin.
“Thankyou for today Kevin,” Hazel said in a tender manner.
“Of course. We do that all the time, so come back if you really think it was that good” he replied with a small nervous laugh, stumbling over his words.
“I think I just might” she replied in a playful tone leaning out of the window further trying to emphasize her feelings.
“I think I- we’d like that” Kevin responded now in a slightly flustered state.
“You know what I think…” Hazel started but in a much softer and quieter tone her voice drifting off the closer she got to him. She placed a soft kiss to his lips, but she was swift to pull away and continue, “I think I’m startin’ to really like you Kevin” she ended with a smile before starting the truck.
Kevin was too stunned to say anything, but he had a small hint of a smile on his lips and that’s all Hazel needed. She waved goodbye before pulling her truck out of the driveway and driving off to her home. Kevin watched in awe not believing that she seemingly had chosen him out of his brothers. He was glad. He could barely sleep that night. Kevin just couldn’t wait till the next morning to see her on his morning run.
The next morning Kevin was quick to go out on his run. He decided then and there every morning he’d run by her fence and then run home. When approaching the fence he could see Hazel. She seemed to be waiting for him at the fence post. She was expecting him to stop and talk to her. Kevin indeed did stop but he didn’t talk to her, he quickly cupped the side of her face and placed a deep kiss to her lips. This caught the girl off guard but she had seemingly embraced it and kissed him back. After a few moments he had broken the kiss. He didn’t know what to say so he said.
“Mornin’ Hazel” he said with a small laugh at the fact he had no idea what to say.
“Good morning Kevin” Hazel smiled and laughed at his words. She found it endearing.
“Well I’m gonna get going” Kevin had his goofy smile on his face still.
“Okay, I’ll see you around” she replied sweetly and waved him goodbye as he started to run back home.
This became their routine. Every morning, Kevin would go on a run. Hazel would wait for him at the fence post and when they’d meet each other. They’d share a kiss and quick words between each other. Even if Kevin had his brothers with him on this run, he’d never waiver from this.
Ever since that fateful kiss after the lake, Kevin and Hazels relationship blossomed. They saw each other almost every day. She’d go to the lake with him, go on long drives in his truck with all the windows rolled down and the music blasting. She celebrated the Fourth of July with his family. She became close with the family and even went to watch Kevin’s wrestling matches. The only thing is that Kevin never really got to meet her family. He had met her brother and that’s about it. She never let him over at her ranch and if he was there he never was there long.
One night they were in his truck in a field. It was late but this didn’t bother the two. Kevin and Hazel were in the bed of the truck cuddling together and looking up at the stars. Kevin’s mind was wondering. He knew lots about Hazel but wanted to know more.
“Hazel, why haven’t I ever met your folks? Is it me?” He asked out of the blue, he was holding her close trying to be as comforting as possible. A small sigh left Hazel's lips and this made Kevin overthink and start to ramble. “I swear honey I’m not gonna judge y’all. I don’t care if your family is split or if” he tried to think of something to say but Hazel had finally spoken up.
“You know how you take care of your brothers. Well my mother is very sick, and I take care of her. My father doesn’t leave the house so he can spend as much time as she can with his wife. My brother is always out if I’m taking care of her, but if I’m gone he takes care of her” her statement wrecked Kevin. He wanted her to feel better and he knew this was hard for her.
“You care so deeply about your mother, that’s nothing you need to hide from me” he spoke softly, giving her thigh a small squeeze to try to reassure her.
“I know. I just didn’t want you worrying about me” she tried to cover up the real reasoning of her hiding this but Kevin bought her explanation.
“Well I’ll always worry about you. But I care about you, so don’t stress about it. If you ever need help with your mom I’ll be here for you” Kevin soothed and finished it by pressing a quick kiss to the side of her head.
“Thank you Kev” Hazel said, now relaxing at the thought.
Even with this conversation Hazel never opened up about her mother, and didn’t let Kevin near her home. But their lives went on just the same. They went on through the summer together and even the fall. Then winter came and something came up for Hazel. She started not being able to see Kevin as much as she usually would. Then that fateful morning happened.
Kevin was on his usual run, and Hazel was there waiting for him. She was glad he was alone, but sad she had to give him this news. When they kissed Kevin knew something was wrong and instead of running off like he usually did in the morning. He stayed.
“What’s wrong?” He asked with worry laced in his voice.
“It’s… it’s my mother. She is getting worse. She’s getting moved to a new location and I’ve decided to go with her” her voice was dripping with sadness and sorrow. She had a hard time looking Kevin in the eyes.
“Is your brother or father going with you?” Kevin was hoping for the best. He was hoping this was a family ordeal and not a solely Hazel issue. He hoped that she would be gone only for a little while.
“No… just me. And we don’t know how long I’ll be gone. I’ll be in California with her. I’m sorry Kev” she said faintly breaking and sobs leaving her lips and tears flowing from her eyes.
“No, no, no don’t be sorry honey. You did nothing wrong. You’re helping your family. If it were me I’d probably do the same” Kevin tried to comfort as he held the sides of her face. Using his thumbs to wipe her tears off her cheeks.
“I’m leaving tonight. But I swear I’ll try to keep in touch, and the moment I’m able to come home I will” Hazel said, trying to recover from this sad conversation.
“I’ll be here when you come back” Kevin promised looking deep in her eyes trying to show her his sincerity.
“I promise I’ll be back” she promised, tears still welling in her eyes but looking at him just as passionately.
The two kissed to seal the promise. It was their longest kiss. They didn’t want to leave each other. But when the kiss did end they had a hard time letting go of each other. But when Hazel pulled away to walk back she was still crying. She started to walk back but she never turned her back to him, but once he was out of sight she turned her back. Kevin had a hard time. He was stuck. He couldn’t even run back. He walked back. He felt empty. He felt like this wasn’t gonna be a short time away from each other. He knew that’d be their last kiss for a long time.

Which Way is Up pt.2
Tumblr media
(Avatar 2 fanfic)
After the dangerous encounter with the new avatar version of Quaritch and learning of their new threat to their lives. The Sully family fled to find a new home.
At the Metkayina village, Réva was busy weaving a basket. She hears the sound of the blow horn shell. She perks up at the sound and leaves her family’s marui. She walked through the crowd of clan members. Réva makes her way to the beach. She notices the ikran first. The noises seemed familiar even though she had not ever seen a ikran before. Réva was intrigued when she saw the Omaticayan na’vi. Réva had heard stories of Toruk Makto, and how he was Omaticayan. Réva noticed her brother Aonoug and his friend snickering and eyeing the newcomers. Réva joins up with her brother and lightly pinches him to quit whatever he’s doing. Her sister Tsireya pulls up to the beach on an ilu and stands next to her siblings.
When Réva and her siblings were looking and observing the Sully family, Lo’ak and Kiri had noticed something. They had looked deeper at the Metkayina girl in front of them. She looked way too familiar. Kiri was the first to recognize her. Kiri had lightly tapped Lo’ak and discreetly pointed at the Metkayina girl. Lo’ak had stared at the girl trying to place her face.
Réva was quick to notice the stare that she was receiving from the Omaticayan boy. She would quickly glance over at him occasionally, but tried to not seem like she was staring back at him. He enticed her. She felt a weird wave of familiarity wash over her with every glance she would give him.
Tonowari was quick to ride up to shore. He was intimidating for sure, but he and Jake Sully seemed relaxed with each other. It was when Ronal showed when the situation was tense. Jake Sully had announced he wanted refuge and a new home to keep his family safe.
The decision came down to Réva’s mother. Réva had no idea how to feel. She knew that these people mean no harm. But if that was in fact the Toruk Makto and he was in danger, what was stopping him from bringing danger into her home. Réva did feel pity for the children of this family. Her mother called them demons, showing off to the clan their five fingered hand. Réva was conflicted. She wanted the safety of the clan, but the weird pull these people gave her was strong enough for her to want them to stay.
When Ronal and Tonowari decided to let the Sully family stay, a small wave of joy erupted in Réva. Tonowari had made it clear that they needed to learn the ways and to be useful to the clan. The Sully family was very thankful for the help.
“Here let me show you to your new home, ” Réva said, getting in front of the family. This gives the Sully family a full view of this girl. Jake, Neteyam, Lo’ak and Kiri all seem shocked by her.
“My daughters Réva and Tsireya, and my son Aonung will show you our ways,” Tonowari said with a more welcoming tone.
Réva guides the Sully family through the village and takes them to their new home. Lo’ak couldn’t take his eyes off the girl. Her face, her movement and even the way she talks seemed familiar to him. She stopped at their new Marui.
“This is where you’ll be staying. Me and my siblings will start with lessons tomorrow” she said in a polite and welcoming tone, “if you need anything you can come find one of us” she finished and walked back to her home.
Lo’ak was in awe. He waited a while to even think about bringing up the idea. He planned to talk to the whole family. But decided to just talk to kiri. At the dark of night Lo’ak sits on a small path next to Kiri. He knew she was saddened by the new change to their lives but he thought this could get her mind off things.
“You know… Réva… doesn’t she look like?” Lo’ak started but struggled to finish the sentence, not remembering the girls name.
“She looks like the human girl we knew as children” kiri finished with wide eyes and smal tone of shock in her voice.
“It couldn’t be… could it. It’s not possible. She couldn’t even be transferred into her avatar. How could she be here, and like them?” Lo’ak questioned.
“It might not be her. They might just look similar. Eywa works in ways we may not understand. I don’t think it’s her Lo’ak, it just can’t be '' Kiri spoke trying to almost reassure her brother.
“Let's ask dad. If anyone knows how this could possibly work, he would!” He said getting riled up because of this possibility.
“No! We do not need to be causing problems here. This would be too much right now.” Kiri ended by walking off away from Lo’ak to emphasize her point.
Unknowing to both of them. Jake sully was listening in. He too was curious about the girl. But he agreed with Kiri. He can’t cause problems, and he can see it pushing and prying into this can cause problems. So he decided to keep this on the down low. He would investigate but when he was more accustomed to their new life.
Lo’ak walked around the village out of slight frustration. He doesn’t trust his siblings to help him with this mystery, but he doesn’t want to do it alone. While he was walking Réva noticed him, and to be welcoming and polite she walked up to him.
“You’re Lo’ak right?” She asked politely but had a tender smile on her face. This question caught Lo’ak off guard but chuckled nervously as he tried to recompose himself.
“Yeah, you're Réva” Lo’ak said but in an unconfident tone pretending as to forget her name. This made Réva let out a small smile as she nodded her head in confirmation.
“You wanna go on a walk with me?” She asked, nervously.
“Sure, I guess getting a head start wouldn’t hurt” he replied with a small charming smile. This made her smile of excitement and quickly took his hand and pulled him to the village to show him around.
Réva kept him out of view of the public eye, not wanting to make him nervous or uncomfortable around the clan members. She shows him the places she liked to be at and to hangout at. She talked of the beauty she saw of the island and the people.
Lo’ak found the island itself gorgeous, but the fluorescent light shining on Réva made his eyes linger more on her than the scenery she was trying to show. If Réva was walking in front of Lo’ak, he couldn’t stop admiring her. He felt enticed by her kindness but also her familiarity. If Lo’ak was in front of her or looking at something in front of her, Réva felt drawn to him. It was a new experience for her but it felt familiar and almost like it was meant to be. Their conversations flowed perfectly, seemingly getting comfortable with each other already.
The way she spoke made Lo’ak curios. She spoke like an outsider looking in, but how could that be if she was the chief's daughter. This caught Lo’ak of guard but also made him curious. But he knew it was too soon to pry so he decided to forget about it. He assumed it was her just being polite and that maybe their vocabulary and tone was different then theirs.
After their long walk, Réva knew it was late so she walked Lo’ak back to his marui.
“I’ll see you tomorrow Lo’ak” she whispered to the boy, since they were near the entrance of their home. And she knows all too well the thin walls of the marui are perfect for eavesdropping.
“I’ll see you tomorrow Réva. Think you can give me a heads up for what we’re doing tomorrow?” He asked playfully hoping for some help.
“Look around you, what do you think we’re doing?” Réva answered with a playful tone and a whispered snicker as she started to walk off. This answer didn’t help Lo’ak but he didn’t want to shout for her attention. He just lightly laughed to himself about the interaction.
Even though they were whispering Lo’ak was teased by his siblings about “running off” with the chiefs daughter. That night Lo’ak couldn’t stop thinking about Réva, he knew their energies matched up perfectly, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the fact she was so familiar. They talked like they already knew each other. But how could that have been? This question in itself made Lo’ak curious but excited for the next day.

Which Way is Up
Tumblr media
(A Avatar 2 fanfic)
After the victory against the sky people, life on Pandora thrived, Jake Sully and his new family are now living a harmonious and peaceful life. Jake had all humans leave Earth besides the scientists who were loyal to the Na’vi. This included the Scientist David Phenn. David was a scientist who wasn’t completely loyal to the Na’vi but was Loyal to his wife Olivia. Olivia was passionate about Pandora. She wanted to explore outside the confines of the jungle and see the other tribes of Na’vi. David stayed with her on Pandora and helped her research the other Na’vi. Olivia’s curiosity peaked at the Metkiyena Na’vi, she found their beauty and culture as something to stay untainted and reserved. So she stayed far away. David and Olivia built their base that was close to the ocean and far from the jungle. She would go to that base occasionally to continue her research. Along with her research, she also had another specimen that caught her attention. Her newly born daughter Alana.
The Phenn Family was happy for a time. Even having an idyllic life, David gained a sense of paranoia. He was there for the war and saw all the death not just humans gave but also the death the Na’vi would give. So behind his wife's back he took his daughter's DNA and started growing her own Omaticaya avatar. If Alana aged so did her avatar, David started to film everything Alana did so that if she were to die she would have an idea of what her life was. David kept this hidden from his wife. Olivia didn’t want to have an avatar, she felt as if it was a costume, like someone who was not her. Not helping David's paranoia was Olivia’s risk-taking and getting closer to the Metkina people. She was so desperate for knowledge of them and just observing them wasn’t enough for her. One morning Olivia had told David she had successfully gotten the DNA of a Metkayina. This made David spiral. He couldn’t handle the risks that Olivia not just puts on herself but their family. He closed himself off, never going to their base by the ocean. Not letting Alana see her mother that much. This sparked the new close bond of Norman Spellman and David Phenn.
Norman had developed a soft spot for Alana, treating her as if she was his daughter. During this divide between David and Olivia devastation struck. David had not heard anything from his wife in a while. She didn’t come to visit her daughter. Olivia’s out-of-character actions made David worry. So one day he finally decided to go back to the base, to make sure his wife was okay. She wasn't. A trail of blood was by the base but no matter how far David followed it he couldn’t find her. He knew she was dead, he could feel it in his heart. He blamed himself. He knew he was right about getting too close to the Metkayina and he should’ve tried to keep her away from the base.
Without revealing the secret base and secret research David informed Norman of his wife's death. With his wife gone David kept himself and Alana in the main hub with Norman and the other scientists. David trusted Norman and revealed Alana's avatar. Norman was supported and hoped that once Alana got older she would be able to use her Avatar. David became cold and distant to Alana and stopped recording her. He seemed to stop being afraid of her death because the worst had already happened.
With Alana's father becoming distant, Norman took over caring for her. She had gotten older and was able to play with the slightly older Spider. They’d run around the base and when they were big enough they’d play with the Sully kids. David in his isolation went mad. Having visions of his wife urging him to continue her research. In the dead of night, David would trek out to the base. He had seen in the time he was gone the tide had at a moment encapsulated the small building., but at this time the tide was low and gave him access to the base. David went inside and saw everything intact. He looked at the logs his deceased wife had made when she was there on her own. While going through her files he looked at the small cameras she hid in the beaches. That's when he saw it. The Metkayina warrior killed his wife. He snapped. David wanted to get back at these aliens. His wife was peaceful. She didn’t mean any harm.
David went back to the main hub. Not to see his daughter or his friend Norman, no. David wanted to find the secret recon files that his old scientist buddy had given him. He was supposed to help with this but backed down the cause of his wife. But his wife is gone now. So he took the plans and went back to his wife's base. He filed through all of her logs, research, and studies. He wanted to make a perfect Metkayina avatar. He knew he wasn’t gonna be able to grow himself an Avatar fast enough, but an idea struck him. Alana could be perfect. Female Na’vi can be just as powerful and dangerous as male Na’vi. So David started his project. He combined the Recom plans with his way to grow avatars and garnished with his wife's research. He thought he was doing right by his wife doing this, he knew that this would be exactly what she wanted.
He started by making tapes. Leaving things for her, ways to be a warrior but stealthy enough to never be seen. He wanted her to look like a Metkayina but have the skills of an Omaticayan. Then his biggest struggle yet, getting Metkayian DNA, he watched the tapes of his wife looking in on the clans and took notes on how to approach them. He decided to take an older teen who would always go on watch. David was to use a sniper to take this Na’vi out. He was surprisingly successful in his mission and took the Na’vi back to his base. This is when he really went to work. He infused the DNA of the Metkayina with his daughter. He structured the avatar to grow alongside Alana right now as he did with her other avatar. But he infused recon programming as well. If his daughter was to die she’d automatically go into her Metkayina avatar. With his wife's research as his specimen, he was able to perfect the body, nothing being wrong with the hands or the face structure. You’d never be able to tell the difference between the two. When Alana’s Metkayina Avatar was finished he had the avatar in a test tube. Letting it have the room to grow, but the moment that Alana’s heart stops her mind will transfer into the avatar and the test tube will open.
David was proud of his work, but the day he finished he decided to leave the base for a while, only going back if his daughter was to die. When he started to walk back he was being tracked by Metkayina. Before he was able to get into the jungle the Metkayina took and killed David for his murder of their clan member.
Since David hadn’t come back and the search party that Norman set out for him hadn’t found him. Norman concluded his friend was dead. Since he loved Alana he took up parenting her. And since she was so young and her parents were oddly seemingly distant, after a while she had only viewed Norman as her father. Norman encouraged her to go out with Spider to be close to the sully kids. Alana did, she loved and felt close to Pandora. She was close to Lo’ak and Kiri. She felt like she was truly accepted, and they all were excited for the time she’d be able to use her avatar. But when it comes to Alana, nothing stays perfect for long. A few days after she turned seven she had fallen. Neyetam took her out and he had dropped her, and her mask had broken. They were too far out in the jungle to make it in time for her. This haunted Neyetam and Lo’ak would remember it forever. Spider would blame himself and his whole life. Norman with Jake's help had buried Alana’s  Omaticayan avatar and human bodies. The Jully kids grieved for their friend, Spider grieved for practically his sister, and Norman grieved for his young daughter.
Unknowing to everyone. Alana wasn’t dead. She woke up but was underwater. The base was under the tides of the ocean, but her test tube had opened. She was pushed through the base from the pressure of the tube opening. She was confused. She looked down at her hands and they were teal. She didn’t know that she was submerged in water and so she opened the door the moment it barely opened she wasn’t able to stop the rushing ocean water from crashing in. She was whisked out of the base and through the ocean. She had hit her head on the side of the base passing out in the water. She floated and drifted through the sea. While floating a herd of Tulkun had come across her. A particular tulkun protected her and held her in its mouth. The Tulkun were swimming to the Metkayina clan and they let her go, letting her wash up on the shores for the Chief to find her. The Tulkun had implied they had just found her and didn’t recognize her. They could feel how lost she was, and the pain she had been through. They wanted her to be accepted and to become a part of the tribe. They knew she wasn’t a threat. So Tonowari took her in, to have her become a child of his own.

Dirt and Grime pt.3
Tumblr media
(A Barney Ross fanfic)
“What the fuck did I do” Honey whispered to herself in a frantic manner while looking down at Barney. She couldn’t tell if he was asleep or not.
She stared down at the man her mouth agape and and worried expression pressed onto her face. She scooted herself to the edge of the bed, being as quiet and stealthy as possible. The noise of her dogs nails clacking on the hard wood floor caught her attention and she let out a sigh of relief she didn’t know she was holding. Using this excuse to leave the bed she was quick to hop out of the bed. A small twinge of pain shot down her side but she kept going. Honey saw her dog in the hallway and she was quick to go out her sliding doors to take her dog outside. She had grabbed a jacket that was on the table and slipped it on before she opened the door. When the door open her dog was quick to run outside and usually Honey would go back inside and let her dog run around for a while, but honey stood and just watched her dog. Not wanting to face the reality that was in the house behind her.
After a few minutes the sound of the door opening caught her attention but she didn’t dare to look back. She kept looking forward and waited for him to say or even do anything.
“So.. mighty fine house you got here Honey” Barney said standing next to her, his voice was all nervousness and awkward. She knew he didn’t know what to say, but to be honest Honey didn’t know what to say either.
“Thanks, big city type places aren’t my cup of tea. To easy to find.” Honey spoke, watching the cold cloud of air leave her lips with every syllable.
“What do you mean by that” Barney questioned now looking at the girl causing her to finally give him her undivided attention, finally looking at him in the eyes.
“Those guys who did this to me, they used to track me down all the time when I was younger. Wait for me after school, wait till I needed to do my laundry at the local laundry mat. I just thought the country would be harder, especially when it’s a house that isn’t even supposed to be here.” She spoke, her tone monotone and unwavering, speaking like this is no big deal to her.
“Wait I thought they weren’t a big deal? That sounds like a big deal to me” his worried manner softened her expression a bit but she kept the same composed face on.
“Well now a days, more and more of them give up on the idea my mother or father is still alive. It’s only when they reach a dead end in their research is when they look for me, but they never make it back to base” she replied in a cold manner before a small sigh and smile plastered on her lips and she continued, “but they won’t be messing with me very much longer, so you don’t have anything to worry about” she finished and perused her lips and a gentle but quick whistle escaped her lips and her dog came running towards her. Honey turned around and walked to the door and looked back at Barney after her dog had successfully entered the house. “You want coffee?”
Her simple question made Barney smile softly to himself and he nodded in response. He followed the girl back into the house, the warmth of the house was a nice refresher for the two of them. The silence between the two was tense while Honey started to make a pot of coffee. The two of them sneaking glances at each other, and the two awkwardly standing close to each other. Once Honey had filled a cup of coffee she handed it to Barney and their hands grazed each other. This caused a exasperated sigh to escape her.
“Barney, what happened last night” she said in a straight forward but cold manner.
“Well.. uh” he was caught of guard and slightly flustered at her straight forward manner.
“We fucked while drunk, we’ve been going back and fourth with sneaky little kisses and now we don’t know what to do” her blunt words sorta relax the man across from her, but he still doesn’t know what to say and Honey knows this, “I say we do this till it doesn’t work out for us” her words where full of confidence and sureness, but still underlying in hope. Barney’s expression has softened and agreed with her proposition.
“Well I think that sounds like a good plan to me” he was still unsure and not confident with his words.
“Good, it’s a done deal then” she ended in a more happy tone and looked up at him with a sweet smile.
Her smile ignited something in him and a new found wave of confidence happened. He looked at her with gentle and soft eyes and placed a hand onto her face and put a soft and tender kiss on her lips. It was kiss that was intentional and nothing was holding the two of them back.
For the past couple weeks the two nearly spent every free moment together. Barney loved the cozy and comfortable feeling he got at her small home so he was always at her place. Barney had always grown worried when he would see the indents in the wooden walls from her previous fights. She always blew it off as no big deal and this threat always stayed in the back of Barney’s mind.
After a while they had another mission, Barney now feeling a sort of trouble in paradise. He now had to worry extra for Honey. She was always on his mind and the idea of her getting hurt was a hard pill for him to swallow. He knew it was part of the job but he couldn’t help but worry. Honey tried to reassure to him that she’ll be fine and that he can’t worry about her. When they arrived to the mission drop point it was the same terrorist group that they had to face last time. This stressed Barney out more but he knew she could handle it.
When they got to the drop point they all had to split up. Barney implored someone go with honey but she was quick to sneak off to start getting rid of these guys. The location was a giant abandoned building and she was in the bottom of the building. When she assessed the situation it seemed like only a few where the bottom. It was gonna be easy. She knew once she finished these guys she could move up the building.
Honey was quick to take out some of these guys but a gas was being distributed through the area and since it was dark she was unable to see the gas. But once the gas had finally gotten to Honey and she finally noticed it, the gas had set into her system and it was too late.
She had passed out quickly, and the men were quick to lock her into a giant black box and the men where able to sneak her out through the bottom of the of the building. All they wanted was Honey. And they got her. And no one else in the team knew, till it was too late.

(A Elvis Presley fanfic)
Elvis had kept Jadyn close. Even while he was Hollywood, he had someone looking over her. Jadyn’s recovery was fast, her headaches only coming every once in a while. Elvis had called her every night to get updates on her condition. When she told him of her headaches being now non existent, Elvis was quick to jump on the notion of Jadyn living with him in Hollywood. Jadyn protested at first, of course wanting to go back to her show and music career but, Elvis insisted that she come to Hollywood with him so she can have a break. Every night his intention of her living with him in Hollywood would always come up in conversation, so after a while Jadyn agreed. She flew down to LA and moved into his top notch filming RV.
Jadyn and Elvis were happy, but Jadyn couldn’t watch Elvis make a fool out of himself with dumb movies she knows Elvis hates to even be affiliated with. Days after she moved back in with him he had her in his arms holding her close while looking up at the night sky. They were out by themselves and calming and winding down after a exhausting day.
“Jadie, I know you know it but I gotta tell ya. I need you Jadie, I love ya” he spoke in a gentle manner hiding his face in the crook of her neck. Jadyn let out a soft sigh and thought for a moment then spoke up.
“I know Elvis, you take such good care of me and you’ve always been there for me. I think I can finally admit that… I do love you Elvis” she said gentle her voice lightly cracked at the end like it was a giant release of the truth. Elvis was quick to hug her closer and engulfing her with a giant and lo go overdue kiss.
They had become a official couple and even though Elvis was busy with filming his movies, Jadyn had a ton of new songs written out and always showed them to Elvis, getting his seal approval of her songs she planned to produce when she’s ready. Jadyn knew that Elvis was upset and shook at the death of MLK and she new that Elvis needed a change. Jadyn helped to encourage Elvis with changing the Christmas special into his own show. Jadyn helped with Elvis and inputted her own ideas to his costume and costumes of others. She had helped with the creation and planning of the choreography of some scenes. On the day of filming a woman had gotten hurt and Elvis had implored Jadyn to fill in. Jadyn was hesitant just cause this would be her first appearance since her fainting at her last performance. Elvis knew that she would have a big comeback just like he would if she included herself into the project.
She confined with his plan and gotten into the costume Elvis assigned for her, but compared to the other women she was in white. With every take Jadyn was more and more comfortable and confident with her moves. Once her and Elvis truly in a groove and on the same page, Elvis announced he was gonna preform the final take. With this scene that Jadyn is introduced, her main entrance is to twirl into frame, Elvis catches her, and the two swing around each other then it panes out to the whole group of dancers.
Once the cameras started rolling she went through the steps and motions. Jadyn twirled into frame being caught by Elvis, he gave her a quick spin and dip which wasn’t in the plan and he held her hand as he got on his knee and pulled out a ring for her. Jadyn thought this was a bit for the special so she went along, nodding her head happily and Elvis slipping the ring on her finger and engulfing her to a tender kiss but he smoothly transitions to the group dance and so does Jadyn.
When the signal and lights of the cameras flicker off Jadyn just looks off into the dark distance of the recording set, her mind tired and not wrapping around what she should do. Her thoughts were cut off by Elvis swooping down and picking up Jadyn, loving laughter filled the empty room and the two look at each other with a genuine look of desire and love.
“Elvis, now was that a real proposal or a cute little stunt for the cameras?” Jadyn asked with a playful tone but she deep down was serious, wanting to know how to react to this predicament.
“Well darlin I was thinking that I really wouldn’t mind making you my wife, so…” Elvis stated his upbeat manner was dampened by nervousness and he wasn’t able to finish his sentence. Lucky for him Jadyn picked up on what he was trying to say and she stopped him before he could start to ramble. She placed a tender and gentle kiss on his lips.
“I’d love to be your wife” Jadyn practically whispered when the two pulled away. Elvis was now beaming with life and was the happiest he’s ever been.
They continued on with the rest of the special, Elvis now making Jadyn more and more involved. Once the filming had wrapped up Elvis couldn’t separate himself from Jadyn. When Jadyn looked over the footage she slowly started to get worried, she was tressed about her so called “comeback”. She didn’t seem all too ready for the public eye and she didn’t know if the public would accept her. Elvis had the same underlying feeling as well. The two being nervous once the special had premiered.
The special had overwhelming success, the public eye now falling back in love with Americas biggest stars. Fans of both loved the fact the two of them where now getting married. Jadyn loved the attention her and Elvis where now getting and with this new found confidence she had worked up the courage to produce her newest album. It was filled with love songs that were meant for Elvis and the public now knew that fact.
Months after the special went out Elvis set up their fairytale wedding. It had been mostly for the public, but shortly after the wedding the two had a small private and more intimate wedding in Texas. Jadyn had gone on a small tour, with constant overview of Elvis. He would go to the majority of the shows and the two would even have small banter while she was performing or even the two would preform together.
After the tour had finished Jadyn had gotten pregnant, and mostly stood along Elvis’s side. She had tried to encourage Parker to let her and Elvis preform out of country but he just wouldn’t let it happen. They pressed him about this ideal for months, and after Jadyn had their baby they insisted on it more intensely now that the two could both travel more. Parker had instilled the idea of the two preforming at the international hotel.
Elvis took to this idea quiet well, but Jadyn was hesitant. She wanted to be part of their child’s life more before Jadyn went head first into preforming. Parker had made a deal with the two. Elvis would preform for six weeks and once that six weeks was up Jadyn would preform after Elvis for three weeks. Jadyn agreed, and had stayed at Graceland for Elvis’s time duration.
When it had gotten close to the end of six weeks Jadyn had flown down to Vegas to watch Elvis preform. Jadyn was mesmerized by him. Not feeling confident anymore about her own performance, knowing it wasn’t gonna live up to his level. Once the time came around for Jadyn’s performance she was decked out head to toe in gold, she felt nervous to preform once again, for a crowd she felt that didn’t actually like her. Her on stage attitude was perfect for Vegas the people are up every moment she was on stage. Men reaching out for her whenever they could. She was like a golden goddess, it was like she was untouchable when she danced. When she moved around no one could believe she was even real.

(A Elvis Presley fanfic)
Guilt and fear is all Jadyn could feel when she knocked on the front door of Graceland. She knew that if she didn’t show up it would look bad to Elvis and that he maybe would never ever talk to her again. On the other hand she knew this could also be a bad idea just cause Elvis could resent her for not taking good enough care of his mother and he could put the blame on her. When the door opened Jadyn was slightly relived when she saw his father. She could barley muster a word up to him, looking at him with a sorrowful expression. Elvis’s father looked at her with a look of guilt and pity knowing this must’ve been hard for her.
“Oh Jadyn… you know you didn’t have to come, he would’ve understood. He wouldn’t hold it against you” his words where soft and full of pity. He gave the girl a sympathetic look slightly trying to get through to her.
“I know but she meant a lot to me, and Elvis means a lot to me so I need to be here for him” she replied in a low and gentle manner.
His father understood her intentions and lead her into the house. The loudness that usually filled Graceland was now gone. The large amounts of people in the house talking in almost a whisper and a more gentler manner. Jadyn was led through the house towards Tom Parker. When he had seen Jadyn he was quick to engulf her into a tight hug. Parker rubbed the girls back up and down trying to sooth her shaking body.
“My girl. Everything will be alright, with you here Elvis will be just fine. So no tears” he cooed while holding the girl.
All Jadyn could respond with was just a nod and when she pulled away from the embrace, Parker had lead her up the stairs to Elvis’s mothers room. Jadyn hated hearing the muffled sounds of Elvis’s wails and cries, the sound almost making her feel sick. When she was shown where Elvis was at it made her feel even worse. Seeing Elvis crying and grasping for dear life of his mothers old clothes, the sight alone made Jadyn want to crumble into pieces right next to him. Parker had left the two to have some privacy and when he was fully out of sight Jadyn had gotten on the floor of the closet, sitting across from Elvis. He looked at her through his teary and puffy red eyes. Tears slowly built up in the girls eyes as she looked at the man across from her, she put her hand on his knee looking at him with a sorrowful expression but still holding much compassion and sympathy.
“Elvis… I’m sorry” Jadyn began in a cracked voice, trying to stay strong for him.
“She’s gone Jadie! I left her and now she’s gone!” Elvis spat out clutching the bottom of one of his mothers dresses, basically crying into the fabric and almost hiding his face behind it.
“Elvis everything will be okay, she still loved you and you leaving wasn’t your fault” Jadyn tried to reassure him. “You’re mother loved you, and thought about you every day… I’m just sorry I couldn’t take the proper care of her I promised I would” she said tears now falling from her eyes. “I swear to you, I’ll do anything to fix this”
“Promise me, promise me you won’t leave me. Take care of me like you did with mamma. Please! Promise me!” His chant was desperate and harsh. His red puffy face scared Jadyn and made her uneasy. She knew this wasn’t him thinking clearly, he didn’t know what to do, and frankly neither did Jadyn.
“I promise Elvis, I promise to never leave you” her weak agreement was quiet. She pulled Elvis into a tight hug, letting him sob and cry into her shoulder. She hated feeling him tremble and basically crumble in her arms.
When Parker came back he asked for some time with Elvis and Jadyn parted with him. She reassured she would be just outside the door for him. Jadyn was too distracted by her feelings to even comprehend what Parker was talking to Elvis about. She was using all her strength to not cry and break down against the wall. She had never wanted to see him like this, she hated seeing him so hurt and sad. When him and Parker left the closet he was quick to hold himself on Jadyn. She held him in her arms, trying to sooth and comfort the crying man. Parker lead them down the stairs and had Elvis’s father take him outside to talk to the press. Jadyn watched worriedly through the window, not knowing any way to make Elvis feel better when he comes back out from the interview.
With what little time there was with Elvis being back home, Jadyn spent all her time with Elvis. It wasn’t filled with the usual chatting or talking of music, their time together was mostly in silence. Jadyn didn’t know what to do so she usually just sat and tried to comfort Elvis. When Elvis had to go back to Germany it was a sorrowful goodbye, but I had to be done. While he was gone in Germany Parker went back head first into Jadyn’s success. She had landed many new tours and performances. Jadyn had produced two new albums in Elvis’s absence.
Jadyn had become a even bigger star, touring all over the country. She had been on a tight schedule, but always wrote Elvis whenever she could. These tours had slowly started to take a toll on her though. She was getting terrible migraines and had been taking pain killers to put them at bey. She started forgetting when to sleep and when to write Elvis. She enveloped her entire life into this new lifestyle.
When Elvis had left and came back from Germany he had went head first into acting. Elvis had always wanted Jadyn to come down and see him but Parker had always told him ‘she’s too busy being a star’. Elvis had been able to get her busses phone number and had started to call her. He would catch her either before or after a show. Their phone calls were sweet but short. She was either on a time crunch or too tired to talk long. One night he had called her before a show but she was groggy and not thinking straight because of a migraine and the heavy pain killers she was taking.
“Elvis! So nice to see- hear your voice” she boomed out through the phone. Elvis could tell something was off with the way she was talking, “My show is gonna be on tv you gotta watch!”
“I know Jadie. I always do” he said in a calm collected voice, “but you okay Jadie. You don’t seem alright”
“I’m fine! Don’t worry about little old me” she replied with a giggle. She had fallen while on the phone and the loud crash had worried Elvis even more.
“Jadie! What’s wrong!” He almost barked through the phone.
“Oh nothin. Tripping over my own feet” she said between giggles.
“Darlin you’re worryin’ me” he spoke in a gentle manner scared for her.
“Oh hush, I’m fine. Nothing is gonna happen-“ the line was cut and the phone was hung up. Jadyn had hung up the phone on accident while getting off her bus to head to her show. This abrupt ending of the phone call cracked Elvis’s worry to the max.
Later in the night during her performance, her stage presence was less than what it had been before. She was still and barley danced. Her head was pounding during her show, and the strain in her voice was very much present. When Elvis watched her show from his tv he knew he had to do something. He decided to go to Texas to watch her next show so he could talk to her face to face.
When the next show came Jadyn’s mind was in a heavy fog. She could barley even comprehend who was around her. When she was on stage her vision was blurred from the pounding in her head. She sang and danced but it was slow, tactile; she was making sure that she still presented herself in a good light. About halfway through her show she had felt faint and was practically stumbling around the stage. She had taken a twirl but with the movement she had collapsed. The loud thud of her body and the sound of the mic hitting the ground had silenced the crowd. Elvis had panicked and raced to the front of the crowd not caring if anyone saw him. Jadyn’s dance partner had picked her up and carried her off, Elvis was quick to follow behind him and her crew. The crowd was roaring in worry and almost screaming for answers. When she had finally gotten back to her bus, Elvis was given the run down on her migraines and on the excessive pain killers she was taking. Elvis took matters into his own hands and decided to take her back to Graceland to take care of her. Parker was able to make a fake excuse of why she was on a short break.

(A Elvis Presley fanfic)
This second round of the trip was mostly the same, but still a little different. There was no Hank Snow, and it was just Elvis and Jadyn. The shows stayed exactly the same. Jadyn would preform and almost like a ritual she would pull up someone from the crowd to come and dance with her. Parker had taken notice of this and enjoyed it but he had noted it for a later plan. Elvis had agreed to go under Tom Parker’s management as well. With the two of them both being under his management Parker had decided it was time to go more serious with their careers, so the two only had two more weeks worth of shows.
In that length of time Elvis and Jadyn had gotten inseparably close. Spending their little if free time together. There was a certain energy that the two had, they had almost been intimate with each other. Telling each other their secrets, hopes and dreams. Jadyn had debated the possibility of being with Elvis, he was sweet and kind but there was a uneasiness that Jadyn couldn’t let go of. The unbelievable amount of girls Elvis sneaks into his room made her feel like he wasn’t the best option. So any advances Elvis gave her she quietly shut him down.
It had finally come to the last show. Jadyn had brought out her peacock dress, and decided to sing her fan favorite songs. When it came to a song she danced with a member of the crowd, Jadyn was shocked to see Elvis running onto the stage to dance with her. Jadyn and Elvis had smoothly danced with each other, small laughs leaving the two of them. Once the music had ended Elvis looked down at her with a sly smile and pointed to his lips. Jadyn had mentally slapped herself knowing how when she danced with a guy from the crowd she ended every dance with a kiss. So she playfully rolled her eyes and placed a gentle kiss onto his lips. This action made the crowd roar and scream at the two. Once the kiss ended, Jadyn bowed and left the stage, but Elvis stayed on it to start up his show.
After his show the two of them went back to their motel rooms. Parker had told them that in the morning the two had to head back home to finalize some papers. This worried Elvis, he was scared he was never gonna see Jadyn again. Scared she was gonna be swept away into stardom in Texas all on her own. He didn’t want some other guy to roll into her life and take her away from him. So that night while he was packing his bags he had called Jadyn over to his room. When she arrived he held her in a close hug. Scared to let her go. When the two pulled away Elvis caressed the side of her face looking at her longingly.
“Please don’t go Jadie. Come back with me, stay with me and my family” he said almost in a begging way.
“Elvis I can’t. I can’t leave my father, I haven’t seen him since I left Texas” Jadyn replied in a worried but confused tone.
“You can call him, hell I bet Colonel can get him down here and he can stay with us too!” His tone was desperate and this off puts Jadyn.
“I can’t- I don’t wanna do that Elvis. I wanna go home, I know you mean well but-“ Jadyn spoke but was cut off by a rough and forced kiss Elvis placed on her lips. Jadyn was stunned and didn’t know how to react.
“Please Jadie. I’m in love with you, I don’t wanna lose you” his voice was soft and sad, desperate even.
“Elvis… you’re not in love with me. You just don’t wanna lose me. I swear to you that I’m not gonna disappear forever. I promise that I’ll stay in contact Elvis. I’ll make sure Parker doesn’t separate us” she replied in a gentle but reaffirming voice. “I gotta go now, I have to leave early in the morning. Goodbye Elvis” she said not letting a word come out of his mouth as she leaves his hotel room.
Jadyn felt bad for how she talked to Elvis, but she knew if she sugar coated her words he would find a way to sweet talk her into staying. Jadyn could barley sleep, she wanted to go back and apologize for what she said. Late in the night she exited her room to head to his but she heard a woman’s moans coming from his room. Jadyn no longer felt guilt she felt disgust. She knew why he was doing this and she hated how he could say such strong words fo her but turn around and do this. She went back to her room and now was too angry to sleep. She decided to stay up and wrote her feelings out on paper all night. When morning came she was quick to go to her band mates and let them know she was heading out. Her car had come to the motel and she loaded up her bags. Tom Parker came out to hug her goodbye and she gave him her house number to stay in touch. Jadyn had debated waking up Elvis to say goodbye to him but she didn’t wanna see whatever girl he let stay the night. So she slipped a note under his door.
“Stay in touch” -she signed it with her number and address for him.
When the car took off she was quick to fall asleep. She didn’t know how to feel. She was scared to go back to her hometown, scared to see the public and scared to see Cassie and Katie once again. After a long day trip in the car they had finally arrived to her town. It was late, no one was up and so she just headed straight to her house. When she entered the house she was happy and at peace. Joyful to see her wallpaper and smell her natural scent of her home. She had went to her room and jsut laid on her bed enjoying her home again.
She had learned that Cassie and Katie had moved away when they came back home. The town was overjoyed when they got to see their golden girl once again. Her father was so proud and overjoyed to see his girl once again. Her peace at home wasn’t long, Parker had called and pressed for her to write and make her first album. Jadyn had followed his instructions and did just that. She had become a overnight success and everyone around the country knew her as ‘Jadie the Golden Gild’ or ‘The Golden Girl’.
Her fame was foreign to her, she had leaned heavily on Tom Parker’s help and advice. He had her preforming in Austin almost every single day. Parker had hired a male dance partner for her to preform with and when she wasn’t preforming she was getting dance lessons to broaden her dancing abilities. She had also gotten a speech and singing coach to fix her southern accent, cause in Parker’s words she needed to have a voice that would appeal to everyone.
Alongside her own success, Elvis had become a overnight sensation as well. Jadyn was proud and happy for him but a part of her still waited by the phone waiting for him to call. When she wasn’t preforming live on stage Parker had her preform on TV. She traveled all over the country to be on TV and Parker had not wanted to go back and fourth between Elvis and Jadyn so he scheduled for the two to have similar performances. Without informing Jadyn he had planned to have her preform and Elvis was to be her guest appearance. When she was dancing on set she was surprised when Elvis had appeared on her set singing her song and going in and dancing with her. It felt natural and she was happy to see him again and to dance with him again. After the performance, Jadyn didn’t know what to do. Should she talk to him or just let it be. Luckily for her she got off easy when she saw Elvis and he rushed in to give her a hug, with a small relived sigh she hugged him back.
“It’s so good to see you again Elvis” she said in a happy and gentle tone as the two pulled away.
“Jadie you’re voice, it’s different. I knew you had changed you singin’ voice but you’ve changed everythin’” he said with a sly smirk. His comment made Jadyn blush noticing him looking her up and down.
“Well I wanted everyone to enjoy my voice, not just the folks around home” She replied in a slightly flustered manner.
“It’s a good change. You’re dancin’ got good, didn’t think you could’ve got any better” he said with a small chuckle, “that dance partner you got, be your boyfriend?” He asked in his normal tone but she could tell there was an underlying tone of jealousy.
“No, Danny is just like a coworker. Parker didn’t think I’d be safe pulling random men to the stage with me” her gentle tone softened up Elvis. “It’s so good to see you again. I didn’t realize how lonely it would be being a super star”
“Same here. Sorry I haven’t called, I planned to but this famous life got me all sorts of busy” Elvis said his gentle manner making Jadyn relax more.
“It’s no worries, we are talking now and that’s good enough for me” she finished with a warm smile.
The two spent hours just catching up and enjoying each other’s company. It felt right to Jadyn getting to see and talk to Elvis again. Parker had liked seeing his two stars getting along so he kept the schedule of them preforming close together the same. The two were close once again. It was like how it used to be, preforming and then getting to hang out with each other in their down time.
There were weeks where Jadyn would go down to Texas to see her father but Elvis would come with. He had convinced her to buy a big house for her father in Austin. She did like the idea of having a lavish home but she felt bad for her father living in such a big house all on his own while she was gone. When she was free and not in Austin, she was with Elvis down in his new lavish home, Graceland. Jadyn had really enjoyed Elvis’s big family and getting to see them all again. When Elvis was out preforming and Jadyn wasn’t busy she found herself at Graceland with Elvis’s mother, keeping her company.
When Elvis started to get into trouble with television companies, people tried to rope Jadyn in with him. Tom Parker started to get worried that he was gonna lose both of his stars so he made Jadyn go back to Texas and preform away from Elvis. This pissed Elvis off and threw him off his game. Jadyn missed him and called him whoever she could, she kept up with his “scandal” through tv and the newspapers and didn’t believe one word of it. Jadyn had dodged a bullet and the press didn’t rope her along with Elvis and when she saw Elvis’s tv special with the dog it made her pissed beyond belief. She knew they were trying to make him into a joke but there was nothing she could do.
Jadyn had gotten a break from preforming and she went down to Graceland. Her presence made him more at ease but he still was upset he couldn’t preform as freely as she could. He had told her of this big comeback performance at a baseball stadium. He was told not to move in any way but Elvis had other plans. He pleaded and almost begged Jadyn to join his performance. She was hesitant at first but decided to agree with him.
The night of his big show came. He was in a simple back suit but had a bright red tie on. Jadyn was in a small black dress but had a small red scarf on and red shoes. The two rode together to the stadium and this confused Parker but allowed it. The shock Parker had when he saw Jadyn get on the stage along side him was too much. He was scared their careers where gonna go in the trash and the two were gonna go down together.
When Elvis had started to sing trouble and he had Jadyn basically on his hip, the two moving their hips to the beat. He had let her join him on singing after the big start of the song. The two were going back to back men and women screaming and reaching out for their provocative dancing. After a while Elvis had seemed to almost be going crazy while singing and dancing. It worried Jadyn but her worried manner was replaced by fear when police started to grab and pin him down and soon she was next. They had been taken off the stage forcefully and pushed into their respective cars. Elvis was worried about Jadyn, not just physically but also about her future. He was scared he just doomed her entire career.
Parker had thoroughly lectured the two on their stupidity. Elvis now had to either go to prison or enlist in the army. Jadyn had to go back to Texas and rebuild herself in a more “pure” light. Elvis hated the idea of going to the army. He didn’t wanna leave his family but he also didn’t wanna leave Jadyn. He regretted allowing her onto that stage. Guilt was all he could feel anytime he saw Jadyn. On the day before he left Jadyn had pulled him aside.
“Elvis, I promise to stay here, be here whenever I can. I’ll write, I’ll call, hell I’ll go down to Germany to see you. I’m not gonna leave you, I promise I’m gonna stay here and take good care of your mother” her voice cracked and wavered between worried and desperate. Not wanting to see him go.
“Jadie you ain’t gotta do that. What about your father” he questioned holding her close to him.
“I’ll see him whenever Parker wants me to do a show or album. I don’t want you mother to worry and be alone” she replied trying to make it seem okay. “I promise you Elvis. I will be here when you come back”
“Okay Jadie. I’ll hold you to it” Elvis let out a small chuckle as a small tear dropped down his cheek. Jadyn gave him a weak smile and she wiped the tear away with her thumb.
When Elvis left for Germany, his mothers alcoholism had gotten worse. She was prone to more aggression and angry outburst, she would cuss out and insult Jadyn. Avoiding her and shutting her out. But Jadyn stuck with her, holding her hair and making sure she ate and drank. Her angry outburst turned violent over time. First it was just a couple pushes, but then it turned into slaps across the face and the worst cases where Gladys pushing Jadyn down the stairs and the worst of it was Jadyn trying to calm her down but in anger she broke a glass on her temple.
When Elvis’s father saw this he implored Jadyn to go home. But when Parker saw the blood pooling and falling down her face he was quick to take pictures of the injury and even got pictures of the bruises she sustained by other events that Jadyn had gone through. Parker demanded Jadyn to stay down in Texas and finish her album. Feeling guilty but knew what she had to do Jadyn had went home. She wrote to Elvis still but not as much as she used to. Ever since she had to leave Graceland she didn’t know what to tell him.
When the news of his mothers death, Jadyn felt sick. She knew she should’ve stayed to take care of her and it didn’t matter what she had to go through. She knew how much this would hurt Elvis and when the news of him coming home to see her funeral made Jadyn feel even worse. She didn’t know how to deal with this and didn’t know if she should see him or not. She knew he would need someone to lean on in this hard time, but was that persona really Jadyn?

(A Elvis Presley fanfic. A lot of the music I mention are by real artists but in this story they’re sung by my characters)
“Please Ms.Gild, i implore you not to miss this golden opportunity; one I know you would not want to miss” Tom Parker said in a sing song tone, but a small underlying sense of taunting lined his lips.
“Come on Jadyn!! We could have our big break!” A young woman named Cassidy pleaded to her friend. Cassidy sat on the left of this girl tugging on her arm to emphasize her point.
“Please Jadie! We can’t preform without you”The girl on the right who was named Katie squeezing Jadyn’s hand.
“Fine… I guess” Jadyn said cracking under the pressure and caving into her friends will.
“Good, good. You girls will be on the road tomorrow night. I’m happy to have you in the team” Tom Parker said in a chipper but creepy tone, and putting his hand out for Jadyn to shake.
Jadyn shook the man’s hand, uneasy about not just herself and her decision but the vibe that Tom Parker gives off. Once Jadyn pulled away from the hand shake her and her friends had been quick to leave to get ready.
These girls had lived in Bandera Texas. They all go to school together, when they were juniors in high school they had made a small girl group. They called themselves The Birdies. These girls all danced and sang for the town. Cassie was the main singer, Katie was the costume designer and maker and Jadyn was the main dancer. They had been preforming for a town gathering and Tom Parker had seen them and wanted them to be part of his traveling show, wanting them to preform alongside Hank Snow, and Elvis Presley. Katie and Cassie were quick to agree but it took Jadyn a bit of convincing. When the girls had agreed they were quick to pack their stuff. Their families where very supportive and so was the community.
“Can you believe it Jadie! Us on a real stage!” Katie beamed while packing her outfits she had planned for the girls.
“It’s not a real stage, just a different stage in other small towns” Cassie said in a more calm and stoic tone.
“I knowww but still, our name is gonna be out there!” Katie continued not letting her cheeriness be wavered by Cassie.
“But what if they don’t like us?” Jadyn asked in a worried tone, looking over her suitcase.
“They’re gonna love us, don’t attract the storm before it rains” Katie said in a snappy tone but it was masked by a caring manner.
Jadyn stayed quiet the rest of the night, just thinking about how uneasy by the thought of her leaving and preforming for new people she didn’t know at all. In the following morning Katie and Cassie were ecstatic, seeing their cars outside of their houses and piling in their luggages. When they were on the road all of the girls were in separate cars and riding along side the giant caravan of cars who all follow one another. They were on the road for about four hours and was in a much bigger town. The cars had stopped at a motel and all the performers and staff piled out of the cars. When the girls emerged from their cars, Katie was quick to practically sprint over to Jadyn and engulf her into a tight hug. Cassie followed behind Katie and just watched the two girls hug.
“The hard parts over! All we need to do now is do what we do best!” Katie beamed out and was practically shaking from excitement.
“Well I wouldn’t say it’s over” Jadyn said with a small laugh calming herself down with her friends presence. Jadyn felt eyes being stuck on her and her eyes flicker over to who was looking at her. It was Elvis.
Cassie and Katie were in love with Elvis, and Jadyn had enjoyed him too, but she didn’t wanna be a crazy fan girl. Jadyn’s attention was pulled back towards her friends when they announced they were heading to their rooms. Jadyn followed behind but doing a small and quick double take at Elvis, checking to see if he was still staring.
The three girls had a room to themselves. They had started to get a small set list ready. Three songs; dances being part of all of them. Katie wanted to start out strong so they were gonna be decked out in their best outfits and doing their best choreography. These girls only knew how to sing country but with a little bit more of a upbeat style.
“So I’m thinking we start out in the white dresses but have the bird dresses under them” Katie said in a critical manner.
“Really? Like when would we reveal them, it’s too hot for us to preform in two dresses?” Cassie asked unpacking the dresses from her suitcase.
“Well what if we do the first song in the white, then halfway through the second song we reveal them. A perfect half n half show” Katie replied her tone being of upmost confidence.
“Well won’t we look like show girls? The bird dresses are a bit much, are we using the fans?” Jadyn asked looking at the dresses Cassie started to lay out.
“Well it’s a test run, we have real talent with us now. They’ll tell us if it’s too much” Katie started to grab her dress not wavering her decision at all.
The two others had agreed to the plan and got dressed. They helped put makeup on each other, and do each other’s hair. They warmed up their voices and went over the dance routine. Once it was time to leave for the fairgrounds the reality had set in.
Seeing the crowd and the stage started to edge the girls. Nervousness shown on their faces and their eyes couldn’t stay locked on anything. They all stood behind the stage along side their crew and other members of the travel show. Jadyn watched and listened to Hank Snow, appreciating his voice and talent even though the crowd watching was obviously bored. Katie and Cassie had spotted Elvis and were anxiously talking to him, fan hurling over him.
Once Hanks set had ended the three girls were ushered to the stage. They stood at their three microphones and waited for the stage lights. Katie stood in the middle, Cassie to her right and Jadyn to her left. Once the lights came on and their band started playing the three girls let smiles plaster their lips and their song Dynamite started.
Once they got in the groove of the song, they took the microphones out of their stands and started their dance. Flowing in all one motion and their voices rang out, their southern twang echoing through their words. Their energy and voices got the men in the crowd whistling and cheering and their girls in the crowd also got in a swinging mood. The girls weaved around each other, each girl having their time to shine in the front of the stage.
Once their first song had ended they had been engulfed with cheers and whistles. Their faces had brightened up and they started the next song. They moved around to where Katie was in front and the two were in the back. When the song started up it was slower and in a much more of a sultry tone but it was still an upbeat song. Katie’s voice was in control of the first verse and she was basically gliding over the edge of the stage, flirting and winking at the men in the crowd and once her verse was almost finished she had shimmied her white dress off to show a smaller slightly off white dress with small feathers lining the fabric. The exposure of her skin made the men go wild and once the chorus started up the three had gotten in the line and did a more in sync group dance.
The second verse came on and Cassie was front and center, her verse was more loving and she was more engaged with the crowds upbeat energy. Her dance was fast and was more simplistic and she was more focused on the energy she wanted to give off. It was now time for her dress reveal and so she seamlessly had loosened her dress and kicked it off into the crowd. Her dress was black but shimmered with purple and deep blues in the harsh stage light. The men had the same reaction to her now much shorter dress. Once her verse had ended she blew a kiss to the crowd. Now it had been Katie and Cassie on the ends of the line and Jadyn was in the middle. The only one left in her white dress.
While in the line Katie and Cassie had sneakily loosened Jadyn’s dress. Once it came time for her verse she started out slow, the crowd enticed by her voice but she seamlessly turned it to a loud and booming voice. Her words were a perfect blend of sultry but fun. Jadyn’s dance was much more intricate but to the crowd it was like she was hypnotizing them. Men were glued to her, feeling like she was a siren calling them out to sea. Her verse was coming to a close so to make her reveal she spun herself perfectly in a circle and it made her dress fall and fly across the floor of the stage and when her spin had finished the crowd awed at her dress. It was a royal blue with gold trim and she had a small peacock feather train on the back of her dress. With every move and spin you could see the beautiful feathers and the sparkling gold enamored the crowd.
The song had finished and the roar of the crowd was bigger. The girls were ecstatic at the reaction and had prepared themselves for their last song. This song was a hype upbeat love song and was a song made more mostly singing and small instances of dace for the majority of the song. But for the last verse a intricate swing dance was done between the three. All of them still singing their hearts out and not failing to miss a beat.
Once the song was over they had gotten into a line once more and bowed to the cheering crowd. Men were reaching their hands out to the girls and they had sweet smiles on their faces and small giggles left their lips. They waved and blew kisses to the crowd as they left the stage. The adrenaline was still in the girls as they stand back stage. They hugged each other in excitement and small squeals left their lips. Their excitement was cut off when Tom Parker approached them, a smile was on his face but it unnerved Jadyn.
“Beautiful show ladies, you blew them away with that dress reveal of yours. I knew you’d be a perfect fit for this” he complemented and Katie and Cassie’s faces lit up with happiness. Jadyn was happy too but Parker unnerved her and always made her feel uneasy but she wouldn’t let him ruin her happiness in this moment.
The girls watched in awe as Elvis preformed, he was a sight to see in person. His dance was much different then theirs, and his songs had reached a different level. Katie and Cassie were practically squealing the entire time but Jadyn even let out a excited giggle or laugh while watching him. Once his set was over he was a bright and laughing mess. He had a good show and the girls could tell he enjoyed himself. Once he got back stage he was quick to approach the girls.
“Mighty fine set of moves you ladies got. I gotta say you really know how to move” he said with a playful smile.
“Well Jadyn is the one who makes all our decisions when it comes to dancing” Cassie said in a giddy tone. Jadyn’s face had flushed when Cassie called her out and a small laugh erupted from Elvis once again.
“So you’re the mastermind behind the dance. Pretty impressed with you” Elvis said looking at her with a warm smile putting his hand out for her to shake. “Elvis”
“Jadyn Gild” She said shaking his hand with a blush. “You’re show was amazing, I’ve heard about your moves it’s nice to finally see them up close” she continued in a more confident manner.
“Ah well I don’t think I can compete with a beauty like you” Elvis flirted in a softer tone and Jadyn smiled at him. “So lemme guess, you’re a dove” he said pointing at Katie, “you’re a raven” he continued now pointing at Cassie and she was quick to nod in reply. “And you, you are the beautiful peacock” he finished with a playful smirk.
“How observant” Jadyn teased with a soft smile.
“Well I couldn’t keep my eyes off you darlin, so I had to notice you and you’re golden beauty” he said in a softer tone, but still very much in a flirty manner.
“Oh really, well I’m honored we could catch your attention” she replied, but glanced over at her friends and could see the jealousy bubbling in their expression. Her tone shifted and continued, “It was nice to finally meet you, we look forward to preforming more alongside you” she finished and left the man and joined her friends.
The girls had left and went back to their motel room. There was a thick fog of tension between the girls as they undress and wipe away their makeup. Heavy sighs of relief left the girls as they slipped off their shoes and put their hair down and got into their beds. Katie and Cassie had a bed and Jadyn was alone in her own bed. She felt bad, she knew how much they liked Elvis and Jadyn knows it must’ve hurt to see the man they adored pay attention to someone else.
The tour continued on. A different show for every town the girls stopped in. Men had loved the girls and after every show there was a crowd of them asking for autographs or kisses. Katie and Cassie reveled in the attention and even Jadyn indulged in the new found attention she had gotten. She had finally gotten more used to the show life on the road and constantly preforming. She was out of her shell and much more comfortable and confident, being her much more true self. Elvis and the girls had became close friends but Elvis had a soft spot for Jadyn. Katie and Cassie hated it at first but got over it once their fans had filled that attention seeking void they had for Elvis. The girls had started to fend of men from their motel rooms and soon they all started to get their own rooms.
Tom Parker had noticed the talent and attraction that Jadyn had brought. He knew she was a crowd favorite and when she started to be outgoing, her popularity had risen as well. There was a night where Cassie had caught a sickness from a guy she had been seeing so she was lacking and falling behind in the show. Jadyn had been told by Katie to pick up her slack and with doing that Jadyn was basically the star of the group ever since that day. The nickname Golden Gild and Golden Girl had surrounded Jadyn. The new found popularity started to wedge between the girls but they all still loved each other and worked together. Elvis had picked up the nickname Jadie for Jadyn and now that’s all he calls her. Jadyn has always felt bad for stealing Elvis’s attention so she tried not to get too close with him.
One night after a show the whole crew were out and about at a small fair. Cassie and Katie had found their boy toys for the night and brought them along for the night at the fair. Jadyn didn’t really indulge in the dating scene. She never liked the idea of dating while on the road, she was more of a lasting relationship kinda girl. Well on this night the girls where split up and Jadyn was hanging around with Elvis and his crew. Unbeknownst to Jadyn Tom Parker had talked to Katie and Cassie and told them that their tour was over. He planned on cutting the show down to just Elvis. Katie and Cassie were furious and had left the carnival afterwards. Cassie had tried to find Jadyn to bring her along but couldn’t find her so she just planned to see her in the morning while they packed up to leave. After the two girls and their dates had left, Tom sought out Jadyn. He had found her in a small corn maze. He had noticed how empty the maze was so he decided to talk to her.
“Why hello Jadyn, I’m glad you are able to find some fun for the night. I wanted to talk to you about your future” Parker said, his condescending tone throwing Jadyn off.
“My… future?” She asked in confusion looking at him.
“Well it’s obvious you are a star. You’re the Golden Gild, the girl the crowd has had their eyes on ever since you opened your mouth on stage” Parker’s tone slowly scaled up into a more excited tone and this started to worry Jadyn slightly.
“What are you telling me?” Worry laced her words, making it apparent she was scared for the worst.
“My girl, I want you as a solo act. Those other girls are nice, but they’re like eye candy. Taste of the fruit, men know they can’t get you so they go for the next best thing” his words pissed Jadyn off. His subtle insults to her friends slowly making her more angry with every syllable that leaves his lips.
“I can’t preform without them, without them I’m just nothing” Jadyn said trying to make it seem like she was calm.
“You’ve been the star of every show, the spotlight has always shun brightly on you my girl. Besides you’re friends have already left you, they don’t want nothing to do with you anymore. The fame and attention is all they want, but you. You want to express yourself, just imagine how far you could go if you just have yourself room to fly” he said, but it sound more like he was taunting Jadyn. She had reached her limit with his words.
“What do you know! They’d never leave me! You can take your solo act somewhere else!” Jadyn stated in frustration and anger and stormed off.
Jadyn spend a solid hour walking around trying to find her friends. Even finding a pay phone to call them but neither of them answered. This made Jadyn think of the worse case scenario. She didn’t wanna accept that Parker was right but doubt and fear set in. If they were pissed off and didn’t want anything to do with her, she can’t go home. They’d shun her and maybe even turn the town on her. After a few minutes of thought, Jadyn went out to look for Parker. She had noticed him leaving the Farris wheel, and Jadyn awkwardly approached him. Her head down, almost in defeat.
“I’ll take your offer for the solo act” Jadyn stated in a defeated tone. A big devilish grin appeared on Toms face and he put out his hand for Jadyn.
“Well my girl, it will be a pleasure to work with you” he said, it was like he was declaring a victory over her. Jadyn had shook his hand, a satisfied smile washing over Toms face. After the hand shake he had continued. “Now all you need to do is get your daddy’s permission to let me be your manager and to let me take of you. Now that won’t be a problem now will it”
“No sir… it shouldn’t be a problem” Jadyn answered, her tone still dejected but she agreed.
Jadyn had joined back up with Elvis, trying to have fun the rest of the night to distract herself from her decision she just made. She planned to tell Elvis about it tomorrow, but for now she just needed a distraction. After staying at the fair for a long time and being out late, Elvis and Jadyn had finally gone back to the motel. Elvis was clingy with her this night, and much more flirty than he’s ever been. Jadyn played along for the time being but at the motel she just wanted to sleep. The two split off into their own rooms. They had been in their rooms for about an hour until Jadyn’s phone had rang. When she answered and found it was Elvis who was calling her she was shocked. He spoke in a soft tone but small whines left his lips every once in a while. He was almost pleading for her to come over to his room. Jadyn had agreed not thinking about how Elvis might’ve been having ulterior motives. Jadyn had been let into Elvis’s room and he smiled upon her arrival. The two sat on the edge of the bed next to one another. A soft silence enveloped the both of them till Elvis had spoken up.
“You seemed off tonight, something happen Jadie?” He asked not looking at her but his genuine tone made it known he was being serious.
“It was Parker. He… I agreed to becoming a solo act. I feel horrible, I don’t wanna hurt them” Jadyn stated guilt plaguing her voice.
“Oh Jadie. I know that must be rough for ya. You grew up with them girls, I know it wasn’t a easy decision. But look at it this way Jadie, you get to be your own girl now. You get to preform, sing, dress and dance all your way now. You’re gonna grow into the star you’re meant to be” Elvis said softly now facing her. His was bore into hers and it seems almost hypnotic to her. His words and his look calms her down and makes it seem like everything really will be alright.
“Thanks Elvis, you always know the right thing to say when I’m down” She replied with a small smile.
“Of course don’t wanna see a pretty bird such as you, look so blue” his tone was sincere but flirty. He used his hand to guid her face to look up at him. A small blush crept onto her face at his actions.
A small silence was washed over the two till he leaned in closing his eyes and placing a soft kiss to her lips. Jadyn was slightly surprised at his actions but couldn’t enjoy it. She had pulled herself away with a sigh.
“I can’t Elvis. I’ve got too much on my mind, so nows not a good time” she says in a soft but gentle manner not to hurt his feelings. His face had saddened for a second as he saw her stand back up. He looked up at her with a pleading look almost not desperation. “Thank you for everything, but I gotta go to bed. I’ll see you tomorrow Elvis” she finished with a smile looking down at him before she swiftly had left his room.
Jaydn could barley sleep, her mind going back and fourth between Elvis and her friends. In the morning she had watched Cassie and Katie packing their bags and leaving in their cars. She hid behind her curtains and watching from her window, debating just running out of her room and joining the other girls. She watched Elvis and his crew hug and wish the girls goodbye. Guilt wracked up inside Jadyn, she felt sick and didn’t wanna watch anymore. Jadyn laid down on her bed and buried her head into her pillow, tears flowed down her cheeks.
It had been hours, and Jadyn basically refused to leave her room and or even leave her bed. Unexpectedly to Jadyn Parker had knocked on her door and let himself into her room. Jadyn’s red and swollen face looked back at Tom and he let out a small expression of annoyance but masked it with a fake look of concern and or sympathy.
“My girl, why cry. You’re a star there’s no need for tears” Tom rang out almost like a sales pitch, trying to make it seem like he’s trying to make her feel better.
“I don’t think I can do this. I’ve never been alone like this before” she replied in a cracking voice.
“You’re not alone my girl. You have me and Elvis. You’re just as much as a star as you were yesterday, and the day before” he stated in a reaffirming manner then continued, ”now tonight’s your solo debut so now, clean yourself up and wipe those tears. Your fans won’t wanna see you like this Jadie”
“Okay..” Jadyn agreed in a dreary manner and wiped her nose and cheeks to dry her face.
Tom Parker had left and Jadyn had gotten herself ready. She wore a white leather vest with golden trim and white leather tassel on the back. Alongside the vest she had a white leather skirt and matching white cowboy boots. White trim lined her entire outfit and she added a small golden scarf onto her neck and a white and gold cowboy hat to finish off the outfit. Jadyn could barley look at herself in the mirror while she put on her golden plated makeup. When she finished getting ready she left her room seeing her car at her ready. While getting into the car she had glanced over to Elvis’s room and saw him exiting his room. Elvis flashed her a warm smile but all Jadyn could give back was a weak wave and a slight smile.
When she arrived to the small theater, every chair filled with people. The nervousness hit Jadyn like a wave, a feeling she hasn’t had since her first show on this tour. The curtains where closed and Jadyn stepped on that stage. She had been given a simple guitar and she stood at the microphone. The stage felt huge and empty, she looked to her left and right hoping to see Cassie and Katie. When she got the cue that the curtains where gonna rise in a moment, Jadyn started to panic. She frantically looked around the stage, her eyes landed on Parker, and he gestured to his lips and gave a wide smile. Jadyn picked up on his message and looked out in front of her and plastered a smile. It took all her strength to not cry, focusing on her lips and making sure her smile does not waver.
When the curtains rose her breath escaped from under her. She looked out at the crowd for a few seconds, her heart beating in a fast and frantic pace. She started to tap her foot to the beat of her heart. Her band picking up on the temp and they followed along. Jadyn had started to sing a fast and upbeat song, her voice beaming out and flowing throughout the theater. Her dance was more fast paced and wide spread. She enjoyed getting to be free and getting into the dance more. Jadyn had formed a rhythm and started to get lost in the music and dance.
Once Jadyn set was starting to end she had gotten wrapped up in the moment and her last song had a long instrumental break and so she had quickly given her guitar to a band member and went to the edge of the stage and looked around at the excited men practically reaching out for her. She grabbed a man’s hand and pulled him up on the stage and had lead a swing dance between the two. After a few moments he had picked up on the dance and she let him take the lead. The twirls and spins were graceful and had a sense of beauty to them. Once the song had finished, she had placed a kiss onto his lips and let him leave the stage. Jadyn was breathless and a giant smile was on her lips. She bowed to her crowd as they roared her name. Once the curtain fell she left the stage. Tom looked at her with a excited smile and hugged the girl.
“You see Jadie! They love you! You’re the golden girl” he said and she smiled in comfort from his words.
After the hug Jadyn had left Tom to go backstage to get some water she was surprised by reviving a hug from Elvis. A bright and excited smile was on his face when looking down at Jadyn.
“You did amazing Jadie. You really now how to get a crowd goin” he said with a playful smile. Blush was plastered on Jadyn’s face and not knowing what to say.
“Thank you, I can’t believe the show actually went well” she replied in a slightly flustered tone.
“Of course it would go well, when the split lights on you, the crowds gotta roar” he said in a tone of admiration.
Jadyn wasn’t able to respond since Elvis was rushed onto stage. Jadyn felt entranced by him and decided to watch his performance. She had taken notes of his movements and thinks of a dance she could do with Elvis. She blushed at the thought of the two dancing together. After his set was done Elvis had B lined for Jadyn. She smiled at him and hugged him, he was happy to hug her back.
The two hung out for the rest of the night. Jadyn was swayed into liking this new lifestyle of preforming on her own. The next couple weeks were amazing. Great show after great show. Jadyn and Elvis had become great friends, Jadyn could tell Elvis was still wanting to advance with her but she knew that she couldn’t get with him, since she sees him let girls into his hotel room almost every night.
The traveling show had taken a break and Elvis implored Jadyn to go with him to his hometown to stay with his family. Jadyn had agreed and went to meet his father and mother. His parents had at first thought the two were dating but sadly to Elvis, Jadyn had shut the idea down. Even with that his parents loved Jadyn and the family had gotten close in what little time that they had with each other. Elvis and Jadyn were happy, happy to just be with each other and to have their own time with each other. But as quick as they came Tom Parker let them know that they once again had to go back on the road.

Dirt and Grime pt.2
Tumblr media
(A Barney Ross fanfic)
The next night the men had found themselves in a busy bar. Barney had noticed how honey had not shown up to the bar just yet. Him and his crew had started their drinking and celebratory partying. After about an hour Honey had arrived at the bar, dressed in short jean shorts and a tight fit tank top. She headed towards the bar and took two quick shots of tequila to get herself loose and more active. After her drinks she grabbed a man’s beer out of his hands and headed towards the crew. The men let out hollers and whistles at the woman, Barney is unimpressed with his crew but was heavily impressed with Honeys look.
“Hey boys” she said sitting alongside them in a sing song tone, “you just sit here or do you actually party?” She asked in anticipation.
“We have about another hour before people leave then we fully party” Lee said and this excited Honey.
“That gives me an hour to do what I do best” she smirked and downed her drink, she saw Gunnar’s full drink besides her and she quickly downed his. She left with a cocky giggle and went to the dance floor.
Barney kept his eyes glued on the girl, grimacing when he sees men get too close. He enjoyed watching her have fun and dancing. Barney did notice the heavy amount of drinking she had been doing but her actions haven’t been distorted in anyway so he didn’t worry. He was tempted to go in and dance with the woman but he knew it wasn’t a good idea, he death glared Caesar and Gunnar for dancing with her making them back off.
After the big crowd of people left it was just the crew, Tool had also shown up once the crowd had disappeared. The men were laughing loud and playing a drunken game of poker. Insults and jokes being thrown around and good alcohol being shared in the crew. Knife throwing competitions happen and drinking contests follow. After a while the boys had finally noticed the mechanical bull in the corner of the building. One by one the men had tired it out but they were so disoriented they only lasted little less than a minute. Barney tried to impress Honey on the bull, trying to last the best out of the group. After he had fallen Honey broke into laugher and knew it was her turn to get on the bull. She sauntered her way up to the bull, taking Tools hat while getting to it. The men whooped while she got on the bull and they all laughed and cheered seeing her last longer than them. But a last she fallen off and Barney was quick to help her up.
“Woah there cowgirl, can’t have you sleeping on the floor” he chuckled while getting her up.
“Yea, there are much better places to be sleeping right now” she replied in a flirty tone.
The party continued but only for a little while. One by one all the men started to go home. Honey leaned on the outside of the bar waiting in the cold. Every once in a while looking down at her phone. Barney grew worried for the girl, wanting so desperately to help her but not wanting to creep her out. After a bit a car had finally pulled up in front of the bar. Honey had took a few steps to the car but looked back at him and quickly jogged over to the man.
“It was great to work and party with you B” she lightly slurred with a wide grin. She planted a quick kiss on his lips before she jogged back to the car and quickly getting in.
Barney was stunned but happy. He hoped his small signals had worked on her, but again he knew she must have been a bit drunk so she most definitely won’t remember. Honey had Barney on her mind, and with thinking about him she was thinking about the hanger. She had given her driver directions to the hanger and she had stumbled into the hanger and walked around the barren building. She had went up to the giant plane and leaned against it. She had climbed up the wing and laid down on the nose of the plane. She looked up at the stars and tipped the cowboy hat down over her eyes. She let her heavy eyelids shut, letting herself fall asleep.
Late the next afternoon Barney headed to the hanger. He was delightfully shocked when he saw Honey, sprawled out on the nose fully asleep. He let out a light chuckle and he knocked on the side of the plane. This action waking up the sleeping girl and she quickly sat up and looked around to assist where she was at.
“Morning cowgirl, this the sleeping place you were talking about” Gunnar joked and Honey laughed to herself.
“Not exactly” she stated and slid down the side of the plane. She landed in Gunnar’s arms and she let out a soft squeal.
“What all do you remember? No way you deliberately wanted to sleep here” Barney asked letting the girl down but still holding her steady.
“I remember the throwing contest, shot contest, the bull, waiting outside, and…” she trailed on faking forgetfulness but held a sly smirk on her face and went in and gave the man a kiss. He was stunned but kissed back and once they pulled away form each other she continued, “that seems to be about it” she finished and Barney smiled.
“Glad you remember the best parts” Barney replied and the two smiled. “You need a ride home?” He asked causally and Honey had not even thought of that.
“If you don’t mind, I have a dog I need to make sure didn’t pee on the carpet” she answered and Barney smiled.
Barney led her to his motorcycle and Honey couldn’t help but snicker at the customization he had done to it. She was quick to hop on and get going. Barney was happy to see how eager she was to get on the bike. She had pointed and showed Barney the way to her house. Barney had not really assumed that she would’ve lived out in the countryside of the city. He found the landscape beautiful and calming.
When he had seen her small little wooden house, in a empty country field he felt soft. This was a serene place he’d love to live. The quietness and beauty matched the woman holding onto him. He pulled up next her small white truck and she was slightly quick to get off the bike.
“Thanks for the ride Barney” she said to the man, he was listening but was busy looking at the scenery.
“It’s no problem” he replied sounding distracted.
“Keep me updated about the next job” she said while walking to her door.
When she opened the door her red heeler had practically jumped out the door. She let out a small squeal in excitement and picked up her dog and walked into her home. Barney longed for the feeling. The feeling of coming home to a beautiful place and someone that loves you.
Barney wanted to see Honey every moment he found himself alone. He hated having to only see her during work. He knew that forming this connection wouldn’t be a good idea in his line of work. He didn’t know if she even wanted it. He was older and she had so much time and so much potential. Barney’s head was full of the young woman, wanting what’s best for her, but also he knows she could bring out the best of him.
After a couple weeks another job had been assigned. Barney had called in a few get together before hand but Honey had never showed up to any of them. He took this as a sign that she wasn’t interested in them or him besides from work. He doesn’t blame her, she lives in a dream and she would wanna stay in it as much as possible. He kept her in the loop through quick calls and the rare text. Once the day of leaving for the job came up he was on edge waiting for Honey. He wanted to see her, and he had to keep a cool and content composure while waiting for her at the hanger. All the men on the team all traveled by motorcycle, but Honey usually went around in a small white truck.
His nerves were put to rest when he saw the white truck in the distance. He had let out a sigh of relief he didn’t know he was holding. Once she was out of the truck she was decked out in all black attire like the rest of the team usually wore. Barney was admiring her from the ground up but when he finally got her face he was confused. A bruise had adorned her left temple and the corner of her mouth. She kept a normal expression on her face when she walked up to Barney.
“Hey,” is all Barney could say. He didn’t wanna pry and he knew she didn’t need to tell him anything.
Honey gave him a small smile in acknowledgment while passing him and went to a work bench. She had taken two small hand guns that were on the bench and grabbed ammunition for them. She packed them into her bag and had quickly loaded into the plane. Barney wanted to think she was on edge but he remembered that when he had saw her last it was just him and Honey alone. He also knew she was usually quiet and wanted things done in her own pace. She was drunk the last time he had seen her in a social setting so he needed to not fret about her. Now all on the plane they were off to some European country to stop a group of terrorist making a human hostage situation. While on the plane Gunnar had finally noticed Honeys face and decided to use it a way to fill the silence in the metal bird.
“Hey nice shiner, you gave it to you” Gunnar asked in a crude tone.
“Bar hoping, I broke out two fights and I couldn’t help but join” she said focusing on sharpening her blades.
“You? Bar hop? On your own time?” Gunnar retorted in a disbelieving manner.
“Well yea, between this and my training I do at home I got all the free time in the world.” She stated unenthused, “unlike you sitting around doing nothing, and failing to touchin’ it aren’t really my ideal past times” she finished causing some men to snicker at Gunnar’s now flustered face.
Once the arrived it was dark so they had to quickly get on the scene and try to shut it down. They all crouched onto a ledge and looked down into a small canyon full of people. Most in uniform but the rest were all in civilian clothes. Barney passed around a pair of binoculars and once they reached Honey she grumbled at the sight.
“Ugh not these guys” she groaned under her breath while giving the binoculars back to Barney.
Barney had heard her comment and decided to ask her about it later. He gave the command for the crew to fall in and start taking them out. Honey was quick to go to a separate cliff edge and clung to the bottom of it and used a free hand to grab a gun strapped to herself and she waited for just the right moment. She allowed the crew to get a little close and she let out three shots down into the camp and the three shots had landed on three of the men in uniform and once they had noticed the men were hit, the rest of the crew had fallen into the camp and started taking down the men. Honey let go of the cliff and started to slide down the edge of it, while sliding she pulled up the back mask cloth she had hanging around her neck and pulled it over her nose.
She got into the camp and using her knife she had taken out the two men guarding the hostages. Using a small clean baby knife she cut a man free and gave him the knife telling him to free the rest. She left quickly to take out nearby uniformed men. Honey had been spotted and a man holding a machete had tackled her to the ground, he had grazed her sides with the sharp machete but Honey maneuvered her gun to his side and shot him. She had left him there on the ground knowing he would die from the gun wound, and was quickly onto another uniformed man to get rid of. During this fight her opponent was much bigger and she had suffered a much bigger wound from him. She had gotten him onto the rocks and he used a rock to make the gash from her previous cut bigger with a rock. During their altercation her mask had fallen down and the man was set into a whole different gear. He had brought out a specialty gun with pellets full a weird substance.
Honey finally used her gun and used the rocks besides her to ricochet the bullet into the man’s head. It was too late for Honey to put her mask back up cause another man had seen her. She had to take precautions to not get hit by their bullets, so she mostly used her two guns strapped to her. Her fast movements and precise marksmanship was knocking lots of men down one by one, but she was caught and held down by another bigger man and he was trying to stab a syringe type thing into her. Her resistance was good, and finally she had gotten her hand into a good position to snap the needle, and when she did she stabbed it into her eyes and she was quick to put a bullet in him when she got up. She took out more men, having to struggle a bit form the pain of her side but once she noticed the fighting was gone when she had taken down the last guy she felt like she could barley walk. She stumbled to the rest of the team and let them know she had let the hostages go and they were safe. The team decided that they’d set up camp next to the plane for the night and leave in the morning. When they reached the base of the cliff and knew they needed to hike up it Honey knew she wasn’t gonna be able to make it up.
“Caesar, my guts might fall out my side right now. I need you to help me up there” she asked and had pressed her palm to the gash showing Caesar the severity of her injury.
Barney heard her statement and looked back and watched Caesar as he held the girl on her back and hiked up with her. Barney knew Caesar could hold Honey with ease, but he constantly looked back making sure she was alright. When they reached the top of the cliff Honey wanted to walk but Caesar wouldn’t allow her and he carried her all the way back to the plane. The men set up a small makeshift fire and set out small tents and started to prep their meals for the night.
Barney sat close to Honey while she rummaged through her bag for her medical supplies. Honey propped up her knife and planned to use it as a makeshift mirror. She took off her black compression shirt and rubbed her numbing paste on the giant wound. Barney could see her slightly struggling to see where she was stitching up her wound since she couldn’t see all that well from her small knife. Barney turned to see Gunnar wiping off his giant machete and a idea hit Barney.
“Gunnar, lemme borrow that for a sec” Barney asked taking the machete not giving Gunnar a choice in the matter.
Barney moved Honey’s knife and replaced it with the machete. Honey thanked the man, now having better confidence in her movements. She finished stitching the wound quickly and put some more ointment in the injury. She slid the machete back to Gunnar and quickly put her shirt back on and re prepped the equipment.
“Anyone need me to overlook anything” she asked and most of the men nodded their heads.
Honey went through putting her ointment on the men and cleaning up the occasional busted face or cut on the arm. She was gentle, her pacing being a swift but calming one. She had finally reached Barney and all he had was a small cut on his brow so she just dampened her fingers with a simple but much stronger disinfectant for him. He kept his gaze on the woman, not caring since the men were laughing and busy eating to care what he was doing.
“You knew those guys” Barney asked once she finished.
“Yea. You know in comics how there’s always some super drug to make the perfect soldier” she said putting her things away, “these men think my mother had made that, and they think that she’s still alive to give it to them” she finished and finally relaxed and looked at the man. “They are the ones who gave me this busted up face. They think they’ll find her through me” she stated blandly and this pricked a sense of worry in Barney.
“Do they bother you a lot?” He asked hoping to ease this worry.
“No, just every once in a while. When they get desperate” she said and laid down.
Barney had no idea how to respond. So he just laid down next to her. He wanted to turn and hold her close but he knew he couldn’t. Honey was at ease and super relaxed. She didn’t know why Barney gave her this effect but she didn’t mind. She would love to be around him more just for this feeling but she knew she couldn’t. Barney was a busy man and she didn’t wanna interfere with his work. The next morning came quick and the group was quick to leave for home. They had all been wanting to go back so they could party and celebrate their quick victory. Unknowing to Honey, Barney was finally vocalizing his feelings but not to her, but to his co pilot Lee Christmas.
“What’s on your mind. It’s not here with me obviously. What’s more important than me?” Lee asked in a joking but also sincere ish tone.
“It’s a woman-“ Barney started with a sigh.
“You’re not lying to me are you? You having woman issues isn’t a real thing” Lee said being quick to cut him off.
“I wish I was lying. It’s..” Barney was conflicted, he really didn’t know if he should tell him but he trusted him. “..Honey, she’s been on my mind since the last job” he sighed.
“Woah, I would’ve never guess that spitfire got your brain into more mush than it already was” Lee commented but let Barney continue.
“We shared two kisses, one where she was drunk but another one the day after and just don’t know what to do” he said feeling a little weird talking about this. He didn’t like being open but he knew he needed to.
“Didn’t know you were a charmer” he joked and Barney looked at him with a unenthused look, “well I know it’ll be weird but you gotta talk to her about it. You don’t know how it’ll go if you two get together but still doing work here” he continued making a genuine effort to help.
“Yea, I just gotta find the right time to” Barney said in a worn out tone.
“Don’t do it too late or nothing will come out good” he started peaking Barney’s interests, “gotta find the sweet spot” he finished in a joke and Barney rolled his eyes.
When they landed they all were quick to leave. Honey was notably the last one to go alongside Barney. She wanted to make sure her side wasn’t gonna bother her while she driving so she stayed in the hanger trying to wrap her body. Barney had noticed her and wanted to help and didn’t need to worry about prying eyes. He came up behind the girl and took the wrap out of her hands and started to take over for her. Once the wrap had ended Honey had made sure to secure it to her body. She looked up at the man holding the eye contact with a loving gaze, not realizing their hands were grazing each other.
“Thank you again, Barney.” She said getting snapped out of their gaze and started to walk off putting her shirt back on. Barney had followed her back out to the woman’s truck and helped her into it. She had rolled down the window and Barney leaned into the truck through the now empty window. “We partying tomorrow?” She asked.
“Yep, we’re gonna be at Tools place around nine or so. Nothing to crazy” he said letting out a small crooked smile.
“Dang it, that plane was a comfy bed” she joked letting a small snicker leave her lips. “I’ll see ya tomorrow Barney” she ended rolling up the windows and leaving the hanger. Barney waved her bye while she drove off, he watched longingly as her truck slowly left his line of sight. Seeming to drive herself into the horizon.
The next night started off surprisingly hard. The men had been heavily drinking doing many drinking competitions. Honey was heavily involved in these competitions. She kept flirting with Barney but he didn’t start doing it back till he got more drinks into his system. Once the night got late the two didn’t really know what they were doing. The rest of the crew had left and it again was just Honey and Barney. Barney had called a ride for Honey to get home but while waiting in the cold, Honey was cold and held herself close to Barney. The hold then turned into the two drunkenly making out. Once the ride had shown up, Barney didn’t wanna leave her so he went into the car with her. They had been driven to her house and the two were quick to go into Honey’s bedroom. Usually Barney would try to look and really take in his surroundings and appreciate what would be in her house.
The next morning Honey was lightly starting to wake up but was violently woken up when Barney’s arm had slung over her side, and unknowingly hurting her injured side. She shot up and groaned from the pain and hit his arm off of her. At first Honey had thought it was some random guy she had in her bed but was shocked to see Barney. She couldn’t remember a thing from the night before, and she didn’t know what to do.
“Barney?”

Sneaky Suspicion
Tumblr media
(A Adonis Creed Fanfic)
“And in this corner, wearing the grey and white The Titan, Tessa Titanium Morrison!” The ref yelled and the crowd cheered at the woman. Her dirty blonde hair swaying while she loosens her body up. “And in this corner wearing the gold and green, the County Cobra! Clairese!” He finished and the other half of the crowd yelled at her.
The two women wearing all the normal boxing gear but their hands being bare. No wrap, no nothing. The two death glare each other, the low lighting of the empty warehouse making it difficult to see each other’s faces. The ref called the two to the center of the ring.
“Okay girls, no hair pulling, biting or private shots. All else is allowed, you’re done when the other is down for ten” he stated bluntly and the girls nodded.
They headed to their respective corners, Tessa keeping eye contact with her competitor. When the makeshift bell rang the girls darted to each other. Clairese had quickly thrown a left hook and it shifted Tessa back a bit. Tessa quickly recovered and landed a left and right hook. This made her stumble back, but Clairese threw herself into Tessa’s gut making her fall against the ropes. Claire took body shot after body shot on Tessa but Tessa finally wrapped her arms around Claire’s head and kneed her jaw to get her off. Clair had fallen to the ground but was right back up, she tried to land a harsh kick but Tessa had grabbed her ankle and pulled her to fall onto her back. Claire stayed on the canvas till the count reached six and then wobbled her way up. Claire snuck behind Tessa in a headlock and held her tight. Tessa could break through it so she dug her nails into Claire’s arm and drug them down her arms and with the harsh grip she had lunged forward and pulled Claire over her shoulder and slammed her to the ground.
Claire stayed down on the ground to the end of the count. The crowd roared at Tessa’s victory and she held up her red battered hands. She lazily hopped of the ring and a man had given her a jacket and slid her a wad of cash. Tessa left the building and walked through the dark streets of Philly. She made it to her apartment complex and walked to the third floor. She quickly went to her bathroom throwing off her jacket and running the water. She ran her hands through the cold water, they shake out of pain and tears prick the girls eyes. She looked in the mirror and was shocked to not see a bruise forming on her face. She was glad to not have suffered a brutal blow to her face this time.
After she wrapped a bags of frozen peas on her knuckles she started to play music from her speakers. She rested on her couch scrolling through her phone. Texts from her dad popped up but she ignored them. She knew it was late but was too tired to care. Her body sore from the fight but glad to not feel the pain in her face like she used to. After a while she hears a loud knock on her door. Rolling her eyes she gets up and off the couch and quickly turns down the music and goes to the door. When the door opened and she sees the man in the doorway she lifts her eye brows in shock to see a handsome man she’s never seen before in her building.
“Oh, uh hey. I’m Donnie. I uh just moved in upstairs and I got to work out early in the morning but I can’t sleep with your loud music playing” he said going from a rude tone into a soft tone.
“Oh okay, I’ll turn it down.” She said bluntly before giving him a quick forced smile then closed her door. She thought he was good looking and thought it was heavily interesting that he had to state the fact he was gonna work out.
The next morning she was sore but still wanted to continue her training. She saw Donnie when she left her apartment and she gave him a small wave when she passed by. She continued her schedule like usual. She’d train in the morning, go to work and cook in the afternoon then went home and trained some more. She worked on building up a tolerance in her knuckles and arms. She blasted her music to make sure her neighbors didn’t ever hear her training. She’d had been training at night like usual but when she heard a knock of her door she quickly paused her music and went to open the door and she saw Adonis there once again.
“Too loud?” She asked in a soft tone.
“Oh no, I uh.. what you doing right now?” He asked in a nervous tone.
“Just working, why?” She replied now curious.
“I just wanted to know if you wanted a break, are you hungry?” He continued and Tessa let out a small giggle at his nervousness.
“Where are you from, this how you guys ask girls out?” She laughs.
“I’m from L.A, but I’m not asking as a date. I just wanna know if you’re hungry” he stated trying to fake confidence.
“I could eat” She shrugged and quickly left the door way and grabbed her things.
They went down to a sub shop that Tessa had enjoyed, Max’s. Everyone who was working complimented Tessa when she walked in and she ordered subs for the two of them. She tried to sway Adonis from not paying for the food but he did anyways. Tessa lead him to a booth and the two sat down.
“So Donnie, since you paid for the food I should know the full name. Just so I know who to write the check to” Tessa joked and a small laugh leaves Adonis.
“Adonis Johnson, you?” He asked and a small sigh leaves Tessa.
“I’m Tess, Tessa Morrison” she answered, hoping to not get a follow up question.
“That name it’s familiar” he says curious.
“My dad is Tommy Morrison, better known as Tommy Gunn” Tess answered in a lightly annoyed manner.
“Woah, who would’ve guessed I would’ve ran into-“ Adonis started but Tessa cut him off.
“The worlds biggest wrestling disappointments daughter. Yes that’s me” she sighed and Adonis felt guilty for words he weren’t even thinking about.
“No,no it’s just I didn’t think I’d meet a semi famous boxers daughter. I came here to fight” He stated and this intrigued Tess.
“Oh, so that’s why you just had to make it known you were working out when we first met” Tess replied with a sly smirk and a smile crept on Adonis’s face.
“Yea, but I wanna ask. You run in the morning, you’re gone for a while. Why do you do that?” He asked in a upbeat mood.
“Can’t a woman just wanna stay in shape” she joked then continued, “No, I used to run all the time with my dad it’s just a habit I keep up”
“Oh really, then why’d you have frozen peas strapped to your knuckles that night?” He asked quirking a brow now cornering the woman. She sighed and knew there was no way to hide it.
“Okay, I do some fighting on the side. I don’t do it since I need to look decent for my job” she said feeling lighter telling the truth.
“Where do you work?” He replied and Tess smiled sheepishly.
“You are just full of questions aren’t you? I work at the Black Board, restaurant during the day and big party bar at night. I work the later lunch rush and happy hour” she answered.
“You got a man?” He asked bluntly and a light laugh left Tess.
“No, you got a girl?” She shot back and now Adonis laughed and shook his head no. “What got you into fighting?” Tessa continued.
“Well it’s funny my pops used to fight” he said in a lower tone.
“Huh, he fight pro?” She asked now fully interested.
“Something like that” Adonis answers looking away, now uncomfortable.
“He train you?” Tessa continued with slight excitement.
“My pop died before I was born” Adonis stated and now Tessa felt guilty for asking.
“Sorry to hear that” she said in a low guilty tone.
“So where’s your next fight at” Adonis shifted the tone back into its groove, but now it was Tessa’s turn to be uncomfortable, she should tell the truth but didn’t want him to judge her.
“I’m not a pro fighter of any sorts, I uh do a lot of off the book type stuff. I have one next Friday at the old can corn factory.” she answered not super enthused, hoping he wouldn’t care too much.
“Can I roll with you, I wanna show up” He asked with genuine interest. This made a small smile creep on her face letting her emotions take over her thought process.
“I’ll think about it” she said with a smile.
The two had left the restaurant and went back to their respective apartments. Tessa was so giddy when she got back to her room, she really did enjoy her time with Adonis and wanted to see more of him. Her good mood was dampened when she had finally looked at her text messages from her dad. He was asking for his cut of the money from her fights, she was so frustrated she called the man.
“You get your money if you show up to the fight. That was the deal, you got me into this mess and so you gotta deal with the recoil” she spat when he finally answered.
“You think I have time to see you fight when I know you can win” her father said in a cocky arrogant manner.
“No show, no money” she stated bluntly then hung up the phone.
The next couple days she’d train, and see Donnie on her downtime. He’d come and see her for a quick check in at her bar. Adonis would know when she came back from work and he’d go down to her apartment and hang out. She’d cook for him and one night before he had started to eat the two shared a kiss, letting their chemistry settle and spring. The new couple talked mostly about Adonis and his plans in fighting, Tess kept mostly quiet when it came to her fighting career.
On Tess’s day off she was hanging out in her windowsill looking out into the street and she noticed Adonis packing his things into a van, she was confused on what he was doing. He was with a older guy but Tess had a hard time figuring out who it was.
“You moving?” Tess asked leaning out the window. Adonis looked up and smiled at the girl.
“Oh yea, I didn’t get a chance to tell you, but I’m gonna be living with my uncle for a while, training for the next fight” he explained and the man he was with finally looked up towards her. She instantly knew who that was and she wanted to shrivel up and die.
“That’s your uncle?” She asked not believing him.
“Yea a long time. He’s gonna be training with me, and when we ain’t training you’re welcome to come on over” Rocky said to the woman. Tess allowed a small smile to go over her face but did it to hide the fear and shock from seeing Rocky.
“Okay, thank you” she said in a kind tone and rocky closed the van doors and went to the other side of the van. Tessa looked down at Adonis and shook her head and gave him a judgmental look.
“Why you giving me that look?” Adonis asked with a slight laugh.
“When where you gonna tell me your uncle is Rocky Balboa? You know he might not be the biggest fan of me” Tessa answered astonished by this fact.
“Imma call you” is all Adonis could say.
“Okay, I’m not gonna hold my breath” Tess replied rolling her eyes and waved him goodbye. Adonis hopped into the van and they started to head to Rocky’s house.
“That girl seems nice who is she?” Rocky asked and Adonis looked at him with a surprised expression.
“Wait you don’t know her?” Adonis follows up and now Rocky is confused.
“No, why would I”
“Rock, that’s Tessa Morrison. You know Tommy Morrisons daughter” Adonis explained and Rocky went wide eyed.
“Woah, I woulda thought he went back to Oklahoma. Didn’t expect him to stay around here, and let alone have a kid” Rocky stated and a small breathy laugh leaves him.
“Rock, she thinks you hate her” Adonis stated bluntly and now the older man was set back.
“I’ve never met the girl, I got no reason to hate her. Her father I do, but she’s a completely different person” he replied and this made Adonis feel better.
“Agreed, she’s pretty great” he said with a small sigh and this caused Rocky to chuckle.
“Women weaken legs” Rocky stated quickly and Adonis composed himself.
“My legs work just fine” Donnie said in a slightly offended tone.
Friday night had rolled around and Tessa prayed that Adonis was busy with training or that he had forgotten. Tessa stood in her corner of the ring looking at the bigger woman across from her. To distract herself for a moment she looked through the crowd and saw sadly her father. He seemed heavily unimpressed so Tess looked back at her opponent. The bell rang and Tess started.
The fight was aggressive, this woman was leg heavy and used them well. Tess had lasted about ten minutes before she was knocked to her knees and held down and was taking heavy body shots. Tess was weak and had finally wanted to give up, but she wiggled her way up and fought through this woman for about five more minutes, the woman had tired herself out and after two left hooks she finally went down and stayed down. Tess’s body was too weak for her to stand for very much longer. She slid off the mat but clung to the side to stay up. She was given the money and seconds after her father was at her side.
“Got me going there for a second, almost thought I waisted my time” Tommy snickered and Tess rolled her eyes. She gave him a portion of the money but her body stung in pain.
“Can you help me get to my apartment, I don’t think I can walk there on my own. Please” she softened her eyes and pleaded with her father.
“Can’t, busy with work. You’ll survive” He replied coldly and walked off.
Tears flowed from Tessa’s eyes and the crowd started to leave. She knew she could barley walk but she didn’t wanna stay in the gross empty building. Her eyes started to blur from the pain circulating through her body but she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and she looked up from the floor and say Adonis in front of her.
“Tess! Tess! Oh my god the hell is wrong with you. I though you boxed, not actually street fought” Adonis said panic ringing through his voice.
“I’m sorry” is all Tess could croak out.
“You can’t walk can you! Here lemme help” he said panicking and worried.
He picked up the girl and carried her to the van he had driven there. He drove to Rocky’s place and bursts through the front door yelling for Rocky’s help. He laid her down on the couch and Rocky came running in, the two men both now panicking and on high alert.
“The heck happened to her!” Rocky asked seeing the beaten girl.
“She told me she did fighting on the side, but it’s not any type of fight I’ve seen before. This is some underground dog fighting” Adonis said worry dripping from his tone, “I can’t take her to the doctors, they’ll ask her or me what happened and if they find out she’ll be locked up” Adonis continued looking at Rocky.
“Fine, I’ll help you, but the moment she is well she needs to explain herself. I’m not gonna have that around me or you” Rocky stated sternly and Adonis quickly nodded in agreement.
Rocky and Adonis did their best to ice and wrap up the girl. She was knocked out cold for about twelve to fourteen hours, the two men stayed around to be there for her when she woke up. When she did it was hard for her. Her eyelids heavy and her body sore. She sat up on the couch and saw Adonis, he was quick to rush to the woman’s side.
“Tess! You okay?” He started with worry and caressed her face. She lightly nodded to answer and so Adonis continued “the heck’s the matter with you! The hell you doin dogfighting” Tessa sighed and looked at the stand next to the coach, she saw her phone and reached and grabbed it, lightly hissing in pain.
“My dad is a cruel man. He hated the skill I showed in boxing in such a young age, but no one wanted to train me because of him. So he took up the job but I didn’t like his fighting style, didn’t work out for me. So I tried to get outside help, even tried to change my name but he made sure no one would help me. He made it to where I couldn’t even land small boxing matches with bums. So when money ran tight, I would dog fight. It made good amount of money and we lived. He relies on me and my fights” Tess explained and showed the men the texts her father sends. Asking about the money and setting up of matches. Rocky was pissed, the thought of Tommy making his blood boil.
“That coward. Never being able to do the work. Always wanting the easy way out” Rocky grumbled and then sat closer to Tessa and put his hand lightly on her forearm. “I don’t what you to be fighting like that no more. You fight, you fight the real deal. Your father got any problem with that he comes to me” Rocky stated and tears and a smile appeared on her face.
“Okay, thank you Rocky” she said and Adonis held her hand in comfort.
(Stay tuned for part 2 😌)

Beauty and the Beast
Tumblr media
(A Gunnar Jenson fanfic)
The men sit in the busy bar after a mission. They all sit and drink together having small talk about the mission they just finished. Gunnar had his head towards the woman singing on the small stage near them. Her light brunette hair and brown eyes clashing with the neon lights beautifully. Barney realized Gunnar was staring and decided to joke about it.
“Hey Toll, I think someone got eyes on your sister” Barney joked to the man besides him. Toll snapped his head to Barney then quickly to Gunnar.
“Aye! Gunnar eyes off!” Toll barks and Gunnar looked at the man.
“No way, there is now way your ugly mug is related to that beauty” Gunnar replied in a judgmental manner.
“You better believe it, who do you think supply’s us with those intricate explosives of ours” Barney weaved in and now Gunnar’s mouth hung agape.
“Wait you tellin me-“ he was cut off by Barney.
“She’s an expendable. She makes the explosives and is our woman on the inside” He explained.
“Why doesn’t she go out on the field with us? She’s a expendable no way she’s no good at combat” Gunnar asked now genuinely curious.
“Cause I don’t let her, she can work just as good on the side lines” Toll answered in a bitter and protective tone.
“Sad really, she sure packed a good punch and that cocktail of using a gun and her mini explosives where a huge help” Caesar stated in a matter of fact tone and Toll groaned.
“She’s reckless, and her reckless gets her a one way ticket to the dirt” Toll stated and Gunnar was offended.
“We fight reckless all the time! She’d fit right in!” Gunnar tried to argue.
“You mean you’re reckless, we don’t need two of you out there. My sister has an actual life, she doesn’t need to throw that away” Toll stated and this eased the harsh tension in the group.
“Well I’m gonna go check out the sidelines” Gunnar chuckled and finished off his drink and got out of his seat and B lined for the front of the crowd. Shoving his way through the crowd not caring about the people in his way.
Gunnar was hypnotized by the woman. Her light sways with the music and her eye contact she kept with the crowd. The times she knelt down to flirt with the men in the front of the crowd. When she reaches Gunnar she ghosted her fingers down his cheekbone and gave him a small wink and went back up to sining. After about thirty minutes her set had finished and she got off the stage and went straight for the bar. She grabbed her beer quickly and darted for the table her brother and crew where at. She squeezed in right next to her brother and Barney.
“How’d it go? They work?” She said with excitement.
“Beautiful, just like their maker” Caesar flirted with the girl.
“Good, I didn’t test them before hand so I’m glad they did their job” she said with a wink and took a sip of her drink. Gunnar had finally realized she was at the table and was quick to sit back down in his old seat. “So need some backup for the next mission? My boss won’t care if I’m gone” she asked in a pleading tone.
“Maybe-“ Barney started but still was quick to interject.
“Nope, we didn’t use all the explosives so they’ll be our backup” He grumbled and his sister just rolled her eyes.
“Fine, but your loss boys” she said finishing her drink and quickly leaving the bottle on the table and going into he dance floor.
“What a woman!” Gunnar sighed in a dreamy but excited tone.
“Gunnar don’t you dare leave this table” Toll threatened.
Gunnar cocked a sly smirk and quickly darted off to follow the girl. Toll groaned and slammed his head onto the table in frustration, this caused some light laughs to leave the other men at the table. Gunnar snuck up behind the dancing girl and placed his hands lightly on his hips and swayed with the girl. She turned around and faced the man.
“Why hello Hercules,” she says in a soft flirty tone. A sly smile creeps back on Gunnar’s face. “I’ve heard so much about you, Mr. Gunnar Jenson” she stated with her own sly smile.
“Well since you know so much about me, I deserve to know lots about you” he lightly growled pulling the girl closer “starting with that pretty little name of yours”
“Calli, Calli Road” she stayed simply “shocked I’m not a cautionary tale among you. My brother loves to talk about how much he hates my fights” she started.
“Me and you are very similar, you’d be impressed by my tales” Gunnar replied and a curious grin placed itself on Calli.
“Oh really, gotta show me sometime” she stated and the music got louder so she encouraged Gunnar to dance with her some more.
The two continued drinking and dancing the night away. Toll was uneasy over the idea of his sister and Gunnar together, and the drinking wasn’t gonna help this. After about an hour and a half he had lost track of the two and knew that they most likely had left together somewhere. Toll wasn’t far off, the two were heavily drunk, Calli more than Gunnar. They had decided to spend the night together and go from there.
The light shining through the curtains is what woke up Calli. The cracked ceiling and the dirty walls grossing her out, her eyes slightly a blur from the sleep. Her head was pounding and the loud snores from beside her not helping. She looked over her shoulder and saw Gunnar and instant regret pooled over her. She hated how outgoing she was when drunk, yes she thought Gunnar was attractive but she knew how he was. The type of person he is, is what she’s trying to leave behind.
She easily sneaked out of the bed. His snoring making perfect cover for her to find her stuff. She mistakenly grabbed his shirt from the night before and her shorts. She quickly pulls it on and leaves the apartment, the sun outside hearting her eyes and head more. She heads out to her own apartment with surprising to her is that it’s close to his. She walks into her door and the first thing she sees is her brother sitting on her chair. He looked to be waiting for her and Calli just knew this was gonna be a lecture of some sort.
“I told you, you can’t sleep at my place when you’re drunk” she said walking in and heading straight for the kitchen.
“Why cause you have men over?” Roll said in a judgmental tone while following her.
“Yes and no. You don’t see me sleeping on your couch after a night out” she said in annoyance while filling up a glass with water and quickly downing some painkillers.
“I didn’t stay here. I just wanted to see if it really happened, and I didn’t wanna believe it but you slept with the village idiot” Toll stated and Calli choked on her water.
“I was drunk okay, we all get carried away from time to time and don’t fully realize who we are with” Calli said sheepishly trying to avoid the judgment coming from her brother.
“He’s gonna be obsessed with you. In return he’ll be all over me!” He was already frustrated from the thought.
“Calm down dude, Gunnar will just go to the next bar and see another pretty girl and be all over her. So if I were you I’d ask Barney to hurry up with getting another mission so that celebratory bar party happens sooner than later” Calli said starting to make herself something to eat.
“Why’d you have to get with him!?” Toll asked in annoyance about how nonchalant his sister was being about this.
“What do you want from me! I get to make mistakes okay! I was drunk. Besides I’ll be busy with work and making those poppers for Barney so I don’t think I’ll keep his attention for long” Calli said snapping at her brother.
“I’m just shocked. Like how!? Out of everyone on the team!” He started in frustration, “that’ll be all I think about!”
“Then don’t think about it numb-nuts! You don’t interact during your down time and then all your focus should be on the mission so no! You don’t really gotta worry about it” she said in a annoyed tone “I don’t wanna get slut shamed by you right now. Get out!” She barked and he left with a loud scoff.
Calli was annoyed, Gunnar wasn’t the worst. He isn’t that bad of a guy when it came to her. He is a loose cannon and reckless and she knows that can be annoying at times but he jsut doesn’t know how to channel it just yet. Calli sympathies with him, when she was in missions non of liked her way of fighting, they didn’t like the unpredictable nature of it and the reckless behavior with it. She had finished her food and sat and thought about Gunnar for a while. He wasn’t that bad around her, she had to deal with much worse men at the bar and he was actually kinda nice.
Calli debated going back to his apartment to talk but she knew that’d be weird and clingy so she dove herself into her shop and working of the explosives to keep her mind off the man. She kept herself in that workshop for hours, losing track of time and almost exhausting herself out fully. The bombs were about halfway done when she noticed it had been time to leave for work. She quickly cleaned herself up and changed her wardrobe.
Calli sings only once or twice a week and the rest of the time she works behind the bar. When she got to the bar she cringed having to see her boss behind the bar working. Calli hated her boss, he obviously was into her but never picked up the hint she was never really interested. Calli calmed herself down and started to get working on the complete other side of the bar. Her boss was very unpleased but didn’t wanna say anything cause he didn’t wanna get relied up.
After about an hour at the bar Calli was getting bored, it was a slow day so she just had to sit and wait for something to happen. She begged for a bar fight or some big group of guys to come in and party. Calli wasn’t expecting to see Gunnar walk in by himself. She knew hiding wasn’t worth it just cause her boss would not appreciate her “slacking off” while working. It takes Gunnar a few minutes before he had finally found her at the bar, a smile plastered on his face and he waltzed his way up to the bar straight to her.
“Hey beautiful, why’d you leave so early?” He said in a cherry and hopeful tone.
“I had to get back, Toll blacked out at my apartment so I had to get him and I also had to work on the new wave of explosives for Barney” Calli explained trying not to indulge in a flirty comment. “I tried to say goodbye but your snoring was so loud you must’ve not heard me” she finished with a joke to lighten her mood.
“I do not snore that bad” he replied in a joking defensive manner.
“No, I couldn’t believe I slept next to you for so long without waking up from those snores. You a bear in a trench coat or something?” A small giggle leaves her at the joke and Gunnar smiles down at her.
“Well I tired you out pretty good” Gunnar stated with a cocky smile and a flirty tone. His comment made Calli’s face turn red and she had to look away for a moment to calm herself. Her reaction made Gunnar laugh a little bit, “geez you held yourself so high last night, now you’re all shy” he spoke while laughing, making Calli more flustered.
“I forgot how blunt you could be” Calli said recomposing herself and looking back at the man.
Her boss was watching and listening to the whole interaction and he loudly cleared his throat catching Calli’s attention. Her mood quickly changed into a more annoyed one and she rolled her eyes at her boss to look back at Gunnar. Her face softened but she still was snappy just cause she could feel her bosses gaze looking at her.
“Boss doesn’t want boys at the bar without a drink. What you want Hercules?” Calli asked and Gunnar was slightly taken aback.
“Just a regular beer. Do you usually have to deal with men taking up your time at the bar?” Gunnar asked in a joking tone but was genuinely curious.
“No, my boss just doesn’t like me having a social life” Calli answered bluntly grabbing a beer and opening it for the man. She indulged and took a quick drink and then gave it to Gunnar with a wink.
“So why don’t you go on missions with us. I’m curious to see you in the field” Gunnar questioned after taking a quick sip of his drink.
“I think that Toll is just being protective and doesn’t want me to get hurt while fighting, BUT the main excuse is that I’m ‘reckless’. Which in reality it is me using my tiny explosives a little more creatively than the others” She answered in slight annoyance just of the thought of her brother from that morning. “Maybe one day you’ll see me in the field” she said in a hopeful dreamy voice. Her mood was cut off when she felt the smack on her ass happened and she snapped her head back to see her boss.
“Hey break time” he said causally and motioned his head towards the back.
Calli gives him a forced smile to her boss and then gives a small wave goodbye to Gunnar. She started to walk off but again her boss slapped her ass, letting a annoyed eye roll escape the woman. Gunnar was fuming looking at that man treat Calli. He also felt sorta pissed off at Calli. What if she was dating this guy and she had been using Gunnar as an outlet for her unhappy relationship. He finished his drink quickly and slapped the money to the table. He left the bar.
Calli left the bar after her boss told her to take a break. She clocked herself out and left her boss a note. She walked through the cold night air to her apartment. She heard a faint sound of a man grumbling and talking to himself so she just kept walking. She saw that the cross walk she usually took was being drove through with heavy traffic so she had to wait, she saw the faint silhouette of the man but she knew if she had to she’d take him. When she made it to the edge of the curb she looked at the man from the corner of her eye and was shocked to see Gunnar.
“Gunnar?” She asked faintly looking up at him.
“Oh it’s you” he said unenthused and grumpy like. This didn’t sit well with Calli, she didn’t know why but she needed to have answers from him.
“Damn sorry to disappoint” Calli replied rolling her eyes and putting them back onto the traffic ahead.
“Well shouldn’t you be living it up with your boss” He commented and this snapped something in her.
“Sorry that I have to deal with a shitty boss, I’d love to have my old job back with Barney but I have to live a real life with shitty people who don’t know how listen to the words ‘no’” she sneered and crossed the road seeing a free time to do so. Gunnar’s mood had shifted to anger to guilt in a flash. He quickly followed behind the girl.
“Wait- Calli. I didn’t mean-“ he tried to apologize but the woman stopped in front of the entrance of the apartment complex.
“Don’t bother. You have another two blocks to walk, better save your breath for the trip there” she stated bitterly while she opened the door. Before she could fully enter Gunnar grabbed her wrist.
“Please, forgive me” he pleaded and for some reason this softened Calli. She turned slightly and faced the man.
“I dunno, I think it’ll cost you” she smirked and a sly smile crept on Gunnar’s face.
“I’ll do anything” He replied in a low voice, and Calli bit her lip.
“I got an idea of what you can do” she replied with a giggle and pulled Gunnar into the complex.
The next morning the sound of her front door opening lightly woke up Calli. She had thought it was a noise from her dream since now all she can hear is Gunnar’s snoring. Her heavy eyelids falling shut once a again but the sound of her bedroom door opening scares her awake and she shoots up when she sees her brother.
“The hell you doing here!” She yells in shock seeing her brother. The commotion wakes up Gunnar too and he gets up just as fast.
“The hell am I doing here! The hell is he doing here!” Toll replied now ticked off.
Toll had groaned and stormed out of the room. Calli quickly reached for a shirt and slipped it on. She hurried herself out of bed and followed her brother. She slammed her door behind her and stopped her brother in the hall.
“The fuck are you doing with that druggy!” Toll yelled at the woman.
“I’m grown I can make my own god damn decisions. You don’t see me storming into your place asking you who you’re sleeping with!” Calli replied with just as much emotion.
“You can’t be left by yourself. You drag yourself down without me” he stated in a demeaning manner.
“You don’t have to baby me! Why can’t you get that through your head! I don’t need you! You pulled me down just cause you knew I’d be better than you’d ever be!” She responded with a bitter tone.
“You’re nothing but a desperate washed up Whore. All you’re useful for is your dumbass explosives you half ass” Toll grumbled while he walked off.
“You did this to me! You dragged me down into a hole I can barley live in. I work for a man who can’t- won’t let me leave! I could be living and striving but no you cut me down before I could even get up!” She yelled grabbing the back of his shirt and pinned him to the wall. “If I die thats on me, but if I don’t get to live that’s on you. Now get the hell out of my life.” She said throwing him away from her.
Toll left quickly and Calli finally remembered that she had left Gunnar in her room. She knew this would be awkward so she just needed to get it over and done with now, so she can forget about it later. She opened the door and kept her eyes away from Gunnar and started to pick up her clothes on the floor and putting them into her small hamper in the corner of the room. The air was still and the room was quiet. She finished with her clothes and she finally looked back at Gunnar. He sat up and was back into the majority of his clothes.
“Sorry, I didn’t think he’d come over” She said in a quiet and embarrassed tone.
“It’s all good” he replied awkwardly and he got up and got fully dressed. While he finished up Calli changed into some better clothes and had made herself look a little bit more presentable. She knew he was gonna leave and she was trying to decide if she wanted to continue whatever she had with Gunnar or not.
“I’m gonna head out, but I’ll see you later?” He asked seeming genuine and this made Calli’s heart soften.
“Yea, todays my day off but I’ll be working tomorrow night around the same night” she answered and this let a smile land on Gunnar’s face.
“K, sounds good I’ll see you then” he said softly and came close leaving a soft kiss on her lips but jsut as quick as he placed the kiss he was just as quick to leave.
Gunnar left the apartment, and Calli went to the window that had a fire escape on it and went out to hang out on the fire escape. She heard the entrance building door open and she watched as Gunnar exit the building. He had noticed her up there and he gave her a small wave, and she waved back smiling to herself seeing him walk off.
(Stay tuned for part 2 😌)

(A Rocky Balboa fanfic)
Rocky had improved greatly in his training. Being empowered by Apollo and Olivia really got him going. Olivia trained right by his side with Chris, this making Rocky wanna train harder than before. Rocky had improved his speed and his movement in the ring. Olivia was just as hyped as her husband. Even once while he was swimming he had pulled his wife into the water with him to share a kiss in celebration for his heavily improved swimming time and skill.
The night of the rematch was finally here. Apollo and Olivia helped wrap Rocky’s knuckles and give him advice and remind him of his training. Apollo made sure Rocky knew the ideals he needs to keep. Apollo gives Rocky his shorts from their fight, and Apollo made sure to remind Rocky of this favor he owes him. Olivia gives Rocky a quick good luck kiss and a small prayer to her husband. They had walked through the crowd and going into the ring. Olivia helped set up Rocky’s corner while Apollo and Rocky stand getting ready to see Clubber. Olivia was disgusted seeing Clubber and seeing him shove an innocent reporter. The moment he stepped into the ring he started off, he insulted and threatened Apollo and Apollo lunged towards him. Rocky and Olivia held Apollo back and the officials separated the two teams.
Olivia stood outside the ring waiting for the match to start. The tension eating away at the woman and when the bell rang she wasn’t ready. Rocky came out swinging, she sees his improvements from training and is super proud. Seeing her husband basically dance around the ring was a small sort of spectacle. Seeing Rocky able to swerve from Clubber swings was magical and seeing how hard it was to keep Clubber away from Rocky was something else. Olivia could see how upset Clubber was and knew he was gonna come out stronger and more aggressive. Rocky was still doing good keeping the lead in the fight, but Clubber was able to pin Rocky in the corner and thrown into he corner. Clubber and Rocky were separated but when they came back together Clubber was giving Rocky a beating and knocking him down. Olivia yelled for her husband to get to but shakily he got up but Clubber was right back it and knocked down again.
Clubber was swinging hard and stopped by the bell but Olivia could hear Rocky smack talking to Clubber. Apollo couldn’t understand Rocky’s strategy. Rocky knew Clubber was getting tired and frustrated, Olivia knew her husband planned to tire Clubber out and exhaust Clubber anger. Rocky went into the next round taunting Clubber taking Clubber massive and painful hits, but this was part of his plan. Olivia knew Rocky could take this and his plan was being set into motion. Clubber had cornered Rocky but he was so tired he was missing Rocky by a mile. Rocky got the upper hand and landed body shots lifting Clubber off the canvas. Rocky got Clubber pinned and he was too tired to swing back. Rocky landed beautiful face shorts and had finally knocked Clubber out. Clubber stayed down through the count and when Rocky was announced as the winner, Apollo and Olivia jumped into the ring. Rocky was held up in victory and Olivia approached him.
“You alright” She asked and he looked down at her with loving eyes.
“Never better” He said getting down from his teams grasp.
He held Olivia and shared their celebratory kiss as usual. Rocky now being the heavy weight champion once again. Once Rocky had healed he fulfilled the favor he promised Apollo. A secret rematch between the two.
After that match Olivia went head first into more fighting. She didn’t fight any men, stuck only with heavy weight women fighters. She had gotten more worn out the more fights she entered. The matches were nice but she knew she had to finish and hang up her title. So this night was her last match. She sat in the locker room getting her hands wrapped and she looked over at Rocky and her son.
“Tonight’s the last fight. I don’t got anything left in me no more” she said in a somber tone.
“Really? You sure. I know this means lots to you” Rocky replied in a sweet tone. Holding her face in his hands.
“Yea, I think it’s time for me to let the bronco rest” she smiled at him with a restful smile.
The fighter was nervous, this woman was much more built than she was and younger. When the fight started it was instantly brutal. The bigger woman was knocking Olivia around and putting her in harsh headlocks. Olivia stayed up for four rounds but was restless. Her face much more bloody than her adversaries. The bigger woman had gotten her multiple times in the left eye and when the bell rang, Olivia knew what had to happen. She sat on the stool and had Seri look over her.
“Rocky! Come here I need you!” She yelled digging into Seri’s pocket and grabbed a razor.
“Hey, Olivia! What are you doing!” Seri asked in worry and shock when she saw the fighter shakily get up and go to the ref.
“Next drinks on me I swear” Olivia said grabbing the flask from his side. She opened it and smelled the alcohol and she poured it on the razor in her other hand. She sat back down and saw Rocky on the mat now.
“Cut me, now” she demanded holding the small blade out to her husband.
“No, Olivia I can’t do that. I think I’ll throw in the towel” Rocky said nervously.
“Rocky you cut me now or I’ll do it myself” Olivia said bluntly before spitting out some blood in her mouth “you call this, and I’ll keep fighting till I beat her” she finished and Rocky took the blade from her hand.
He cut the swollen eye and Seri helped with cleaning up the blood. The bell rang and Olivia got up. She felt a little more confident in her swings and landed all her shots. She had a plan so she let the bigger woman knock her down a few times. Each time staying down a little longer to see what the woman does. Olivia noticed that she bends down to gloat at the fallen woman so she had decided to put her plan into action. Olivia gets back up and taunted the woman to knock her down. The woman complied and Olivia fell forward.
She lands and tried to get up back was trying to save energy. She was on her hands and knees and waited for the count to reach eight and when it did Olivia quickly pushed herself onto her hands and lifts her legs up and locks herself onto the woman’s waist and she pulled her to the ground landing harshly on her neck. Olivia swiped herself up in the process and watched the woman wobble up and when the ref concluded she was still eligible to fight Olivia knew her neck wasn’t in the best condition and so she threw some harsh right blows and when the woman went to throw one back Olivia slid under the arm and went behind her and hooked her arm around her neck and pushed herself around to the front of the woman and pushed the two of them to the ground. The woman shook when she got up and when she got on her feet she went and punched Olivia across the face and made her fall to the ground. Olivia got up but was seeing three of the woman. So she danced around the woman, using her confusing feet placement to confuse the woman. The bell rang and the two separated into their respective corners.
“Olivia please, you can barley stand” Rocky pleaded.
“I can barley stand you right now, have some faith in me Rocky” she said spitting blood outside the ring and going back into the fight.
Olivia noticed the woman’s neck hurt to where she couldn’t look back behind her. So Olivia decided that was the way to go. They traded punches back and fourth til Olivia snuck behind her and intertwined her hands and elbows the side of her neck and the woman falls. The count goes to ten, and Olivia wins. The official holds up her hand in victory and Olivia is finally satisfied with herself and her win.
Rocky runs into the ring and carries Olivia out, he knows she’s way too weak to do anything. Olivia shakes while showering, knowing her body is too sore to move well. Her eye hurts but it’s not too bad. When she leaves the locker room Rocky rushes to hold her. He lets out silent tears while holding her.
“It’s over Rocky, you don’t gotta worry no more” She said sweetly looking up at him. The two smile at each other and end with a celebratory kiss.
(Should I continue to the rest of the movies?)

( A Rocky Balboa fanfic)
After Rocky’s big fight, him and Olivia had almost immediately gotten married. The service was short and sweet. Olivia’s only guest and bridesmaid being her friend Seri. Her father had shown up in the beginning but left halfway through. Rocky had invited Mickey and a couple of his trainers and friends. The ceremony was intimate and sweet. Even with how short it was it was worthwhile. Rocky and Olivia were happy.
Olivia had settled and gave birth to their son, Robert Jr. She had Seri help her raise Robert since Rocky was mostly busy with training and defending his title. Olivia loved Robert with all her heart but being a simple doting housewife was not her lifestyle. It was miserable and she knew she could be doing something anything else. Getting to see Rocky living out his life and fighting and living his dream was hard. She was happy for him but what about her dreams. Every day she thought she looked like her father in the mirror. A man hungry for a fight and would do anything to feel it again. When she felt like this she distanced herself from her kid.
When they moved into the big house she felt even more lonely, the spacious house making her feel empty and more miserable. Rocky was striving, fighting and doing commercials. It was amazing to have alone time with her husband and seeing him do charity work for children, but she seemed to not be able to break free from her sadness. Years had gone by and she had gotten enough of sitting around and doing nothing. She’d sneak out and watch matches with Mickey and her and Mickey had picked up on Clubber Lang. Olivia could tell Mickey was hesitant and this worried her. Mickey had told her that he doesn’t think Rocky has the drive that he can tell Olivia still has. He asked her to get in shape and start fighting again. Give Rocky something to be fighting for besides himself.
That’s what Olivia started to do. Her son wasn’t an infant anymore so he didn’t need to be babied by Olivia as much. Rocky had been around his son lots of time and Olivia could tell he favored his father over his mother. So Olivia would train at night while Rocky was out or while Rocky was sleeping. Olivia had gotten into amazing shape, she had been telling Rocky and Seri she did it just cause she wanted to look good again. Rocky didn’t mind seeing his wife taking care of herself and he didn’t mind her new look.
Mickey had been training her lightly but he knew she wasn’t in any shape to fight any time soon. Since Mickey was living in their house it was easy for him to see her progress and train her away form Rocky. The night where Rocky was to fight a wrestler Olivia was excited to watch. Olivia made Robert sit with Seri while she stood close to the ring. Seeing the big wrestler come out into the ring excited her. She was worried for Rocky’s safety but this weird unhinged type of fighting is her type of fight.
She watched as this wrestler intimidated Rocky. Thunderlips threw Rocky around like a rag doll int he first half of the fight. Hearing Rocky tell her name while being thrown out of the ring shocked her. This is where she worried for Rocky’s safety. She noticed Mickey hunched over in pain. She runs over to him and asks if he’s alright, and if he needs a doctor.
“Mickey you don’t look good, you need a doctor” She said in worry trying to get the old man up right.
“It’s fine, I’ll be fine” he says weakly.
“You sure Mick, I wanna make sure you’re okay” Mickey reassured he was fine.
Olivia turned back to the fight and she saw he had cut off his gloves and planned to fight without them. She got excited and watched as Rocky got Thunderlips back onto the mat. Rocky throwing body shots left and right to the giant man. She got excited but it quickly left when Rocky was held up by the throat, he looked like he wasn’t gonna come down so out of pure adrenaline, Olivia grabbed a wooden chair on the side of the ring and got onto the mat and hit him on the back, breaking the chair. She quickly slid off the mat so he wouldn’t throw a punch and this gave Rocky time to put him in a headlock.
Thunder lips walked around the mat with Rocky on his back and got the wrestler to his knees. Rocky threw many body punches then picked the man up and threw him out of the ring. The bell rang and it was announced to be a draw. Olivia got onto the mat and when Thunderlips came over to say good job to Rocky. Rocky asked about his behavior and before he could answer Olivia interjected.
“That’s the name of the game Rocky” She said in a joking tone and Thunderlips agreed.
“That woman of yours has a heavy arm on her” He says in a impressed manner.
“My wife, she used to bare knuckle fight with guys so she’s got some heat in her” Rocky gloated in a loving manner. “Well while I got you calm how about we take that Polaroid” he says.
Seri had brought Robert to the Mat and Olivia picked her young son up and gave him to Rocky. Thunderlips stood next to Olivia when the picture was taken, Olivia expressing a genuine smile she hadn’t shown in a long time.
They had a bit of time at home and Rocky and his son where having a ball. Olivia stayed around Mickey and making sure he was okay but he also over viewed her training. One day they had a celebration from the city to go to, so Rocky, Olivia and Mickey all dressed up and when the art museum.
The band played Rocky’s theme and Olivia stood close to Mickey making sure he was alright. When the statue was revealed Olivia couldn’t help but be a little envious of her husband. Him getting to live out his dream while she’s kept dormant. Rocky’s speech was sweet and him announcing that he was retiring made Olivia a little excited cause it could possibly be her turn to fight, but when the crowd got angry and then Clubber yelling about how Rocky was a coward too scared to fight him. Mickey wouldn’t let that happened, letting rocky know he was finished.
“ hey woman, hey woman! Listen here since your man and got no heart maybe you’d like to see a real man, I bet you stay up late every night dreaming you had a real man don’t you I’ll tell you what bring your pretty little self over to my apartment tonight I’ll show you a real man” Clubber directed to Olivia and this pissed off Rocky.
Olivia walked down the steps to Clubber, the crowd shocked at her actions and so is Rocky. She looked at him with a condescending smile, he smirked to himself in satisfactory but was cut off when Olivia punched him right across the face sending him to the ground.
“If I he won’t fight you, I will” Olivia said and stormed back off with Rocky.
Rocky rushed home to talk to Mickey about what he had said at the ceremony. Mickey had told him how Rocky’s matches weren’t actual challenges. They were chosen matches to keep Rocky safe. Rocky knew he couldn’t retire knowing his whole career was a lie and a fake. Rocky promised Mickey that this fight with Clubber would be fake.
Rocky trained in his weird club like training center. Him being distracted by the fans and the glamour of everything around him. Olivia couldn’t even imagine training in a place like this, she was embarrassed to even be seen there. She could tell Rocky isn’t really taking it seriously. This makes her snap and she went home and trained out of frustration. If her husband gets to parade around not with a care in the world, she gets to fight. She had called the old promoter and he had told her of a fight that could happen in about three to four weeks from now. Olivia immediately agreed, it was a woman v. woman fight but she didn’t care.
When Mickey came back from training Olivia pulled him aside and told him about the fight she booked. Mickey jokingly said he’d rather watch her fight than Rocky’s. Once the night of Rocky vs. Clubber happened she stressed. Olivia stressed over Mickey and Rocky’s safety. She knew Rocky wasn’t ready, and this could push Mickey over the edge.
When they were walking out of the locker room and Clubber started hollering at Rocky and threatening him, that’s when Olivia started to really worry. Clubber started to push the press around him then pushed Mickey, and Olivia rushed towards him and Clubber pushed Olivia but she headed straight for Mickey, he looked bad. She screamed for Rocky and he picked him up and got him to the locker room. Rocky wad Mickey get onto the table and yelling for a doctor for Mickey. Rocky wanted to call off the fight but Mickey made him stick tot he fight. Rocky left to go to the fight but Olivia stayed to take care of Mickey.
Olivia was in tears seeing Mickey so weak. She had him lay down on the bench, placing his head on her big fur coat.
“Mickey please, don’t go. Rocky needs you, I need you” she begged in a shaky voice.
“No, my times up. You gotta take care of yourself now. Don’t give up on what you gotta do. Don’t settle and become something you’re not” Mickey said in a weak tone.
Olivia sobbed and hugged Mickey close. Not leaving his side. She wanted to drop everything, she’d give up her dream right then and there to let Mickey live. When the doctors came and started to do CPR on Mickey, Olivia started to shake, she couldn’t handle this. Mickey was what her father wasn’t. She needed Mickey and she knew Rocky needed Mickey. Olivia knew it was bad news when she saw Rocky back in the locker room so soon. Rocky’s expression and how busted it was, she knew Rocky had lost. Rocky saw the critical condition that Mickey was in but he told Mickey it was a second round knockout and this made Mickey happy to think Rocky had won. Olivia held herself close to Rocky in tears hearing their soft conversation. When Mickey stopped talking and then breathing Rocky broke down in sobs and yells of pain. Olivia quietly sobbed next to Mickey. Heartbroken hearing her husband scream in pain and the loss of her trainer and best friend.
The funeral was hard on the two, Olivia couldn’t even think about going through her fight without Mickey and she knows she can’t tell Rocky this, in his condition. The two head to a empty bridge after the funeral and sit in silence, the two not being able to comfort each other in this moment. Olivia couldn’t sleep and couldn’t function without the help of Seri. Rocky always left to visit Mickey at his tomb and was constantly angry. He went out one night and went to the gym angry at the loss. Apollo had stopped by the house and Olivia told him Rocky would be at the gym.
Olivia stopped being sad and started to be angry. She let all her anger out while training and she was determined to go through with this fight, proving to herself and to Mickey she’s worth it. She deserved to full fill her dream. Apollo had taken up the mantle of trainer and wanted to train Rocky. Apollo knew Olivia still and the itch and said he’d give her his bare knuckle trainer to her but she needs to tell Rocky. One night Olivia sat Rocky down in their bed.
“I know this is a hard time for you, and you need to be focused but I need to tell you something. Mickey wanted me to pursue my fighting career” Olivia said calmly barley being able to look in her husbands eyes.
“No, you said you were done with that! I just lost Mickey I can’t handle losing yous. What about Robby, he needs his mother” Rocky protested in a angry tone.
“I’m only fighting women, no more men. Rocky I lost Mick just like you. He knew, he saw how miserable I was. I couldn’t live my life seeing you getting to fight her heart out while I have to stay on the sidelines. Mickey wanted me to be a fighter.” She replied in a demanding tone.
“What do mean miserable. This house not good enough! Your expensive stuff isn’t good enough! Our son not good enough!” Rocky shouted in a accusing tone and this snapped something in Olivia.
“I’m a fighter just like you! I can’t live my life through your eyes! I need to do something besides just sit around and let you live! Mickey didn’t want that for me, he wanted me to live and to give all that I got! I’m gonna fight and that’s that. I say when I’m done, I have to have a reason to fight and I do. I wanna love and live with my son, I wanna actually be happy for once and not have to cage myself!” She snapped at him and Rocky was taken aback. Seeing his face made Olivia go from mad to upset, and tears formed in her eyes. “I just wanna be there and present, not just blank and contempt”
“Sweetie, I don’t wanna hold you back. I’m just scared ya know. I wanna be able to see my wife every day and I want my kid to have his mother. I just don’t want anything happening to you” Rocky said softly holding his wives face in his hands. “If you’re gonna fight, be smart and safe about it” he stated ending with a reluctant sigh.
“I promise Rocky. I wanna live and fight for the men that I love” she stated softly and the two shared a tender kiss.
The day that Rocky had to leave for LA was about a week before Olivia’s fight. Olivia swore to be safe and to win this fight. She’d come down to LA afterwards to help and support Rocky during his training. Rocky said goodbye to his son and promised to call when he landed. Olivia trained with Apollos friend, Chris.
Chris had helped her gain back her groove in fighting bare knuckle style. Once the night came for the fight Seri had brought Robert to the fight. Olivia was a little rusty at first but when she found her groove, she was untouchable. She was dodging and weaving with ease. She set up a good trap and been able to knock out her opponent by the third round. Olivia felt alive and well. The thrill of the fight and the knockout made her ecstatic.
“Mommy you won!” Robert yelled when he saw his mom exit the locker room.
“I know, you brought me the strength to knock her down.” She said in a cherry tone picking up her son. She was sore but didn’t care, she loved seeing her son so excited for her. “I love you so much Robby, I’m gonna miss you when I have to leave” she continued walking to her car.
“Do you have to leave mommy” her kid whined and it made her melt.
“I’m sorry baby but I do. Your daddy needs me, and I need him. I’ll be back before you know it and you’ll be able to watch me win again” she said with a smile and this made her kid excited.
Olivia finally flew down and arrived at LA. Apollo filled her in on Rocky’s training and how hard it’s been. Rocky’s head hasn’t been in it. Olivia knew she needed to talk to her husband. Apollos crew was happy to hear her win and so was Rocky but she knew helping him was the focal point of her visit. She watched the race between Rocky and Apollo, she could see the frustration and turmoil in Rocky’s eyes and when he stopped this is how she knew something was really wrong. Apollo thought it was all over for Rocky, yelling at him asking what’s the matter with him.
Olivia pulled Rocky aside, walking to a empty part of the beach. Olivia asked why Rocky came here, she knew he wanted this fight to be over. Olivia told him how he isn’t a quitter and that he can’t quit now. Rocky went off about how the fights were fixed and how his career was a lie. Olivia fought back trying to say it was for Rocky’s protection. Rocky admitted he didn’t wanna lose her or his son. He was afraid, he didn’t think he could do anything without Mickey. Olivia wanted Rocky to know he’s a fighter and that he’s always gonna have her and his family behind him. There’s no reason to be afraid and that he can do this, there were so many people in his corner and he just needs to believe that he’s fighting for himself. If he loses so what, he loses with no excuses or fear. This breaks through to Rocky and he understands. The two share a kiss and a hug, him being deeply thankful for his wife. This puts Rocky into hyperdrive and gets serious with the training.
(I had a change of heart with this series and I decided to continue it, hopefully it’s still good so stay tuned for part 6 😌)

The nurse of my dreams pt.5
Tumblr media
(A Ivan Drago fanfic)
Ivan and Zelia called each other almost every day. It was either Zelia or Ivan who was tired on the other side but they loved just getting to interact with each other. Ivan was busy with press and training Viktor so the phone calls were never long. Zelia helped her daughter through her physical therapy and she was promised that soon Ivanni would be able to defend her new title in tip top shape. Ivan was soon craving the attention and acceptance from the elites in Russia more than the simple loving phone calls Zelia was giving him. The phone calls starting happening less and less and they only lasted about two to three minutes and then they stopped happening. Zelia was heavily stressed about this but Viktor still called Ivanni about her progress so she kept up hope.
The elites were all over Ivan and Viktor about the fight. One night they invited the Dragos out to dinner and the dinner was grand. A long table full of important people of the Russian sports world. There was an empty seat around the middle but no one payed mind.
“So Ivan, that daughter of yours is a big star here” A man across of Ivan spoke, this caught his attention as well as Viktor “We all were a little disappointed she does not use the Drago name when she fights”
“Well I plan to talk to her about it after Viktors fight” Ivan stated and this shocked Viktor.
“What a treat it is, having both Drago children as boxing champions” a woman at the table laughed about and this made Viktor uncomfortable. “How’d you train your daughter?” Ivan didn’t know how to respond, he didn’t know if he should lie through this one or not.
“She trained herself” Viktor stated and this baffled the table.
“Woah, what a talent! The fighter in her is just like her father” the woman squealed and Ivan let out a small sigh of relief and his son side eyed his father in a judgmental manner.
“Yes, I’m very proud of my daughter. She used to shadow box over my old videos, and her stamina is inhuman” Ivan started to gloat.
“Well why isn’t she here, she could be training for future fights here while her brother trains for the Creed fight” A man asked in a small serious tone. Viktor wanted to yell at the man cause she was injured but Ivan responded for him.
“She’s in recovery for the fight. She’ll be here for the fight” Ivan stated and this calmed Viktor down a little bit.
The dinner was filled with conversations of Ivanni and Viktor, and Ivan avoiding all questions of who Ivanni’s mother was. Then the conversations stoped when Ivan’s old spokes woman walked in. Ivan didn’t know what to do, he wanted to leave more than anything but didn’t wanna disappoint the people around the table. Viktor was pissed and he stormed off and Ivan followed.
“What are you doing Viktor!?” Ivan asked in frustration and embarrassment.
“Why should I have to sit there and pretend like these people care about me! They left us to rot!” Viktor yelled and his father was saddened by his truth “and you! You go around acting like you did something for Ivanni! You didn’t!”
“That’s not my fault! If I knew she were born I would’ve been there for her!” Ivan shouted back in frustration.
“When was the last time you called Ze?” Viktor asked in a accused tone.
“What? What does that have to do with this?” Ivan was caught of guard and a little offended by the question.
“You haven’t called Ze in weeks, you’re letting this snot nosed pigs control you and take you away from the person who actually cares! Ze took care of you, took care of me when she had every right not to!” Viktor exclaimed and this made Ivan shocked but he realized what he did, and that his son was right.
“I’m sorry, I just got caught up in their acceptance and their praises I lost track of what I actually needed” Ivan’s soft tone was saddened and he hugged his son.
The dinner was over when the two men came back, all that was left was an open box full of letters. Ivan looked in the box and saw Zelia’s name on each of the letters. He grabbed the box and took it to his hotel room. Him and his son looked through each and every letter. Pictures of Ivanni were in almost all of them, from her ultra sound, to her first skating competition, up to her first won match. Ivan was teary basically getting to see his daughter grow up, and get to read of the things she loved and got to do.
After reading the letters, Ivan had called Zelia. He apologized for the lack of calls and how he got lost in the status of it all. Zelia felt guilty for not going, he said this might happen and so Zelia promised she would come down earlier to see the two men before the fight. Ivan liked the idea and couldn’t wait. Viktor was excited to see Ivanni and get to show her the training he had been going through.
Ivanni was mostly healed so she was on board with going to Russia a week early. The two women had arrived in Russia later than expected so they planned on surprising the boys the next day. Ivanni woke up early in the morning and decided to ice skate before going to meet up with Ivan and Viktor. Her mother stayed at the hotel, Ivanni skated at the ice rink her mother had ice skated so long ago. She was the only one in the ring since it was early in the morning and so she had no problems with waiting around. She was skating around for about thirty minutes until a man from the press had seen her through the window.
“Ms. Drago!” The reporter yelled and Ivanni looked at the man.
Shockingly more and more reporters had followed the man into the rink. Ivanni glided to the edge of the rink to talk to the man not realizing he was a reporter.
“Ms.Drago are you here to support your brother?” “Ms.Drago are you gonna start fighting here in Russia?” “Ms.Drago who is your mother? How’d she meet Ivan?” The reporters barked in unison, Ivanni didn’t know how to follow up the questions, and the flashing lights from their cameras distracted her as well.
Before she could answer their questions got more aggressive and they hopped over the railing and got on the ice and corralled her on the ice. She tried to skate away but they followed. She had fallen on the ice and crawled her way off the ice, when she fell she had fallen on her bad side. It wasn’t a harsh fall, it just made her side sore and when she had to run from the press she was a little slower than usual. When she got back to her room she was in tears.
“What’s wrong?” Her mother asked in worry.
“It’s nothing, I was just ice skating and these reporters came onto the ice asking me all these questions and I fell on my side and it just hurts a little bit” Ivanni answered wiping her tears knowing she was overreacting.
“No, Ivanni are you okay? Do we need to cancel?” Her mother said grazing her fingers on her daughters side.
“No! No I’ll be fine, it was a small fall I’ll be fine mom, really” Ivanni tried to reassure her mother.
“Okay, we’ll take it easy for the rest of the trip. No more ice skating” her mother demanded in a soft tone.
The two women met with Ivan and Viktor at a restaurant that was completely empty. Viktor and Ivanni shared a loving hug and so did Ivan and Zelia, Ivan being as bold as to give Zelia a small kiss after the hug. They had all sat down and started to catch up and eat. Ivanni talking about her swift recovery and the things she’s planning on doing. Viktor was excited to talk boxing with Ivanni, the siblings banter funny and inviting. Zelia lovingly looking at the two, she loving the thought of her daughter not being a only child anymore and having a brother to be around. Ivan was hypnotized at the sight of having two children and a woman who cares not only for him but also his children.
Dinner wrapped up pretty quickly and they were originally gonna split up and see each other a next day but Ivan insisted on them all heading to his hotel room to hang out. Ivanni was excited cause her and Viktor planned to swim together. Once Zelia and Ivan were alone in the room, they laid together in his bed.
“Here, I wanted to show you this” Ivan said reaching into the side table and pulling out a picture. “I wanted to you to see this, I was finally given the letters you sent me and seeing Ivanni grow was something I couldn’t get to see but because of you I got to have a sliver of what I wanted. So here” he said showing her a picture of Viktor as a young child.
“Oh my Ivan” Zelia said sweetly holding the picture “he’s beautiful, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for him” she said soberly.
“He would have loved you as a mom, you would’ve taken better care of him than I did” Ivan said in a guilty and sad tone.
“Ivan, I know it was hard for you and you did the best you could” she said holding the man close.
“It would’ve been better with you” Ivan stated softly leaving a kiss on top her head.
The two stayed together till Ivanni and Viktor came back. Once Ivanni was cleaned, her and Zelia had left the hotel room and went to their own. Zelia had seen on the news the next morning that almost all of Russia now knew Ivanni was in Russia. They had called her evasive and not anything they had hoped she was. Because of this Zelia had asked Ivanni to not go around town, just to avoid the press. Ivanni reluctantly agreed and stayed in the hotel room the majority of the trip. The times she did leave where to go see Ivan and Viktor.
The night of the fight had came quickly and Zelia and Ivanni were sitting in the front row of the match. Zelia tried to stay hidden to not draw herself a lot of attention, from the crowd, press, or Rocky and Adonis. Ivan had seen the Russian elite before he had seen Zelia and the men had made sure Ivan knew this was his ticket to getting back in with Russia. Ivanni gave Viktor a good luck hug and this made all the camera flashes happen. Ivanni allows a smile to form for her brother but tries not to smile towards the cameras. Rocky and Adonis watch this happen and they don’t know how to feel about their friend being the family of their enemy.
The fight happens and Ivanni gets really into it. She stays at the ring corner and yells and helps Viktor through out the fight. Zelia is scared of either Adonis and or Viktor getting badly hurt. She can handle boxing but it’s hard watching my the people she so deeply cared about. The back and forth in the match was tense and Viktor was visibly having a hard time. When he sees the elite leave and Ivan started to give up on coaching, Viktor started to give up. Ivanni was shouting for Viktor to keep trying and he tried his hardest but was getting beat down by Adonis. Ivan looked at his son then looked at his daughter then lastly looked at Zelia and he went to the corner that Viktor was pinned in and threw in the towel.
The crow roared for Adonis and the crowd started to crowd around the ring. Ivan went to Zelia and grabbed her wrist and helped her through the ropes. Ivanni followed and when Ivan got close to his son he held him in a close hug. Viktor crying but his father reassuring him. Ivanni pulled herself and her mother into the hug and it helped calm Viktor down. After the hug Ivan took Viktor to the locker room and Ivanni and Zelia waited outside till Ivan said it was okay.
After a few minutes Ivan let the two girls in. Rocky and Adonis where both in the locker room as well. Zelia and Ivanni gave them a nod in acknowledgment but went to Ivan and his son. Zelia saw how beat up Viktor was and wanted to make sure he was okay.
“Viktor can I look you over, I wanna make sure you’ll be alright” Zelia asked in caring tone and Viktor nodded.
Zelia grabbed a small medical kit that was in the corner of the room and started to wipe the blood from his face and started to disinfect and clean the fighter up. Viktor stared lovingly at the woman helping him. Ivan was sad but still okay with himself and his decision. Ivanni could see how distraught her father was so she stood next to him and hugged him from the side. Ivan was happy and felt better hugging his daughter.
Once Zelia finished up with Viktor, he quickly got up and hugged her. She wanted to cry in happiness that he hugged her. She accepted the hug and rubbed his back. She felt the tears in his eyes lightly stain her shirt. After the hug broke she looked at Ivan and saw his somber look in his face.
“Ivan where are you going to go after this?” Zelia asked in a soft serious tone.
“We’ll probably go back to Ukraine” Ivan said in a sad tone. Ivanni looked up at him with a sad expression.
“No, Ivan please come back with us. We’ll take good care of you guys I swear” Zelia pleaded and Viktor looked at his father with the same pleading eyes.
“Please, come with us” Ivanni begged looking up at the man holding him close.
“Well, what do you want Viktor” Ivan asked his son and Ivanni shifted her pleading gaze to her brother.
“I want to live with my family” Viktor said and a smile spread on Ivanni, Zelia and Ivan’s faces.
Zelia with tears in her eyes goes over to Ivan and he holds her face in his hands. They share a loving kiss while Ivanni and Viktor hug. They all leave the stadium and pack up Viktor and Ivan’s stuff. Even going to Ukraine and grabbing the rest of their stuff.
The family lives in Philly, Viktor and Ivanni training to fairly fight and defend their titles. Ivan partially training the two, and Zelia always there to take care of all of them. Ivan and Zelia deeply in love and happy with each other. Viktor had grown to view Zelia like a mom and Ivanni had fully embraced her dad and had changed her fighting name to Ivanni Hamlie-Drago and embraced her name. They lived happily and lovingly all together finally.
