Day 4 - Where are you?

Today brings us something a little different. I wrote this awhile ago and never did anything with it, so I adapted it to bruabba because it fit the prompt nicely. It’s Leone’s POV cuz I used to write in 1st person lol. Don’t worry tho, back to art tmr.

I lost my umbrella. The rain is pouring on my head. The pounding echoes inside my skull, constant and inescapable. I’m soaking wet. The rain never stops, and I can’t tell if I’m crying or sweating because it’s all the same: wet. My makeup runs down my cheeks, staining my face black. Nothing stays in place. What’s the point in showering? The rain will clean me anyways.

There’s a new umbrella.

It’s in every store I walk into, but by the time I reach the rack, it’s gone. It’s blue. A deep indigo, translucent, so you can see it deflect the rain, protecting you. It looks like one I once had, but I lost that one years ago. I wish I hadn’t lost that one.

This umbrella is always out of reach. I held it once, but I blinked, and it was gone. Now I just can’t catch up. I see it everywhere. Even when I think I’m imagining it, its beautiful plastic, it’s sitting in a store a block up. But it always moves as I do.

I can smell it sometimes. The new squeaky plastic smell. It cuts through the rain for a moment and hits me in the face.

But then it’s gone.

I want to scream. Tell it to stop moving. Tell it that I want him, I need him. I don’t have another one and the rain won’t stop pounding. It hurts now. The thick needles stabbing at my face; I’m walking with my eyes closed. I can’t see.

I’m tired of walking.

My hc that Giorno is a housecat and will just casually sit near whatever he wants.
