Happy Pokémon Day!

I’ve been in love with Pokémon since there was only one gen and will be still playing the games when I’m 85. Eevee was what got me interested in it a kid and has always been my favourite.

I put these eyes in Nomi a while back because I was getting annoyed at how much his defaults gap. They look a little spooky but I also kinda like that. The Eevee hat is a keychain from the Pokémon Center I got way back in early 2016, figuring it would fit on a doll, but it took until now for me to have one of the right size that it actually suited.

New wig for Oliver from Salafina. I’d been waiting to get this style since I got him. I also flipped his eyes around - they’re lilac on one half and fuschia on the other, and I had them showing more of the fuschia before. Showing more of the lilac gives a different look.

The Oberon crowns I ordered finally arrived…! It was kind of a huge ordeal though. They took an extremely long time and some were broken when they arrived to my proxy…and another one broke on the way to me. And then when I finally had them I didn’t actually like them that much, because I felt like the crown itself was too small while the stars were too big. I’d gotten them in both 1/4 and 1/3 scale, but the 1/3 one in particular didn’t feel well scaled to a 1/3 doll head (at least, none of mine). However…the second one that broke, a 1/4 one, ironically ended up ‘fitting’ him better than the intact 1/4 one, because the break made it ‘open’ (kind of like a tiara?). I still wish the stars were a little smaller for accuracy, but I’m glad I was able to get the crown on his head in a more accurate way.

My next step will be to style his bangs properly because they’re actually too long, and it’s starting to bug me a bit. When his wig is on correctly, they cover his eyes, so I have to sit it slightly incorrectly to prevent this. I’m scared of ruining the wig so I’ll practice on some crappy ones I don’t use anymore. I want him to have proper obe bangs though.
