There’s going to be more to this picture but I wanted to share now so I could have a solo image of Zhan Tiri before I added anything else.

I’ve never done something quite like this before but I like how it’s turning out. Unfortunately the rest is going to have to wait until after I get out of work tomorrow.

Evil Queen Cassandra for my Season 3 Minus Gothel au. 

now with 200% more butt-cape.

The idea here is that after Cassandra gets the moonstone incantation and gains full control and decides to full on go to war against Corona, she decides to take on a more queenly appearance. Since she soon will be queen and all. At least… That’s what she thins. 

A lot of inspiration taken from Frozen concept art with this, obviously. It’s my favorite way of doing outfit design now.

The peekaboo back is a metaphor for how she left herself vulnerable to get stabbed in the back by Zhan Tiri. Honestly since I dont ever have to worry about animating this I just had fun with shapes and designs. Her angles are sharp and straight where Rapunzel’s are soft and flowy.

Another take on her. While maintaining some of the show’s more… minimalist design elements. 

I think she turned out freakin awesome ngl.

But here’s a little something I drew to promote my Halloween art stream back in 2018.

The concept is a long dress that is tattered into strips at the end that ripple on her magic like the tentacles of her large monstrous form

How would you redesign Zhan Tiri?

Lean into the ethereal. Pour on a heaping helping of feywild beauty and awe. This is supposed to be some massively powerful non human, shape-shifting creature of legend. Looking like "We have Yzma at home" did this character no favors.

She should have looked imposing and powerful, not frail and uninteresting. Something more stylistically distinct from tbr main csst in terms of fashion and less peasant looking in garb. Give her an appearance that completely sets her apart to show an even bigger rift between her and Demanitus. I sketched these super quickly and don't love them but I'm immediately more invested I whatever this lady is up to than village granny.

I would also change her color pallet. Because what they gave her is boring. Maybe give her some green in her wardrobe to bring in that disney villain color and compliment her purple hair. Also pointed ears because I will put elves in everything and you cant stop me
