with a HUP he picks him up. thankfully it’s not that far to the hotel. ( just a few feet, and maybe stairs depending on where they get. ) IT’S MOMENTS LIKE THESE that catch his heart. beating steadily until all at once it’s stuttering and it feels like it’s going to jump out of his mouth. soft smile now on his face as he carries him. he’s gay.

finally lifted noct’s limbs settle around ignis’ torso easily wrapping around his body and curling into the warmth of his body. perhaps he is too foolish and silly to be ready to rule but sleepy joy settles in his chest. ignis pulls them out of the car, gladio checks in for them, noct completely unwilling to move from his place in iggy’s arms. had he gotten stronger? as he trudges to their room.

it is a romantic thought. that perhaps in another world they would together. in another life it would still be them. that he will wake up in another world and then reach his hand out for the person always truly at his side. maybe his heart is too soft but he longs to wrap his arms around ignis. to abandon the duty he had been taught to do from his childhood and run away.
in another life he is sure that somewhere they are together by a hill just resting under the stars watching as waves crash against galdin key together. maybe the world is different there, maybe they could be happy together. just not this in this one. in this one he spent ten years in a cold crystal surrounded by the deities who damned him in the first place.
he could have been here. he could have had more than a few moments with ignis’ hands in his own. pressing kisses to his scarred face. and laughing because even a world with darkness with ignis is better than one with light without. tears stream down his face. maybe they’ll have better luck in one of those lives. but he cannot dwell on that right now.

tears slide into his beard, arms wrapping around ignis for what he has no idea will be the final time. debating pressing a final kiss to iggy’s face. but even the gods will not allow him to be so cruel tonight.

he closes his eyes briefly, letting out a dramatic sigh. he’s not exactly the strongest in the group, but that’s not to say he’s not packing his own strength. noctis was ever such a handful, he didn’t mind though. hands start to move so as to ACTUALLY carry him.
