Can't believe it's been one whole week since The One True Me and You came out! It's been a wonderful week full of love and tiredness, and I truly appreciate everyone who's given this little book a bit of their time. I've got five events left in March! The three virtual events are scheduled to accommodate US West Coasters, International folks, and US East Coasters who couldn't do the weekday evening events. Do you read acknowledgments? I never used to, but once I got into publishing and saw just how many people go into making a book exist, I never skipped them again! I thought I would post the acknowledgments section for The One True Me & You here so I can make sure you all know just how many people made this book happen and how grateful I am to them all. Unfortunately there were some staff changes after the pages were finalized, so I want to make sure to throw in some additional thanks: to Cassidy Graham (assistant editor), Oliver Wehner (publicity assistant), and Mary Moates (publicity manager, who took over for Sarah Schoof), and the interior designer whose name I don’t know but who totally crushed it. I know there are so many more people who were involved in big and small ways that I will never hear from, know how they contributed, or even know their names. Whoever you are, I’m grateful for you, too. Thank you all once again for a fantastic launch week. I’m so happy that this book is out in the world now, hopefully making its way to the people who need it. This is it. If nothing else, this is the one thing to know about THE ONE TRUE ME AND YOU. I love this blurb with every fiber of my being. You've maybe seen other parts of it on the final book cover or various posts, but this is the bit that means the most. When I heard @tjklunebooks had given a blurb for TOTMY, I about passed out. His books mean a ton to me. The House in the Cerulean Sea was the book that broke my early pandemic reading slump. It came out on March 17, 2020, the day after we entered lockdown here, and when I finally got around to reading it... oh, friends, it was the perfect comforting hug I needed to get through those times.
