“remember kids, tattling is wrong” that’s the lesson of the episode, even though the two times in the episode the smurflings were shown “tattling”, brainy was genuinely messing shit up and had they said nothing they would have gotten the blame.

even though it’s explicitly stated that they need the heart of the tree for the magic flute, i feel in the 80′s cartoon Papa would not so easily allow the chopping down of a (presumably) 100+ year old tree to make a tiny flute.
