saudade - summer + autumn

saudade is "an emotional state of melancholic or profoundly nostalgic longing for a beloved yet absent something or someone"

runo has spent a lot of her life working towards a comfortable future for her and her family. her biggest dream is to be able to go on a road trip all across japan and to visit every single restaurant she sees. when the train passes through the countryside, sometimes you can see runo look out at the fields with a wistful smile, as if she is thinking about something - or someone - she loves.

i've been drawing runo with different kinds of hairstyles and i found dutch braids to be really charming (ignore that the hairstyle in the summer pic technically isn't dutch braids). I think she'd only really wear them when it's super hot outside to keep her hair out of her face. I love dressing up my characters!

you ever catch a specific scent in the wind that sends you spiraling in a fit of nostalgia? i think this happens most commonly for me early autumn or late summer.

Valentines Countdown Day 4 <3

What the fuck is this? Bakugan art on main?? I thought I'd give the halfway point to the one Bakugan ship I'm actively interested in, RunoShun. Because who needs the main character, really, when you have his autistic respect-women-juice best friend and his loud and emotionally unsatisfied maybe baby? Shun's quiet yet obvious and insane displays of love are EXACTLY what Runo needs imo.
