She cleared her throat before letting a moment of silence fall, “you see- before... any of these nightmares happened I was a part of a game of sorts, a game of would you rather ran by a sick corporation that promised to help with our troubles. In this game we were forced to do horrible things to each other to survive... I’m not proud of what I done... There was only one winner, me.” she dared not tell him how she won but went onto explain.
“Every time I have this dream... there is a reported murder... Is this coincidental?-
Have I been committing these murders?... Im scared to go to sleep in case that is true”
Iris knocked on Crane's office door, she had been sent here by referral from her past psychiatrist being told that perhaps this man could help her rid of the nightmares she suffered each night. Her appearance was a sight to be told, dark circles under her dull eyes, her messy blonde hair tied into a bun on top of her head and her clothes ill fitting. As the door was opened Iris brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and cleared her throat "Hello, I was told you may be able to help me..."
Crane’s office was becoming like a revolving door. There was once a time where Arkham security was impossible to penetrate, and an audience with Crane was something exceptionally exclusive. Now they practically rolled in off the streets. There was hesitation to the soft knock on his door - the knock of someone who hadn’t done so on his office door before. It was someone he imagined he wouldn’t be happy to see, and opening the door and taking in the mess of blonde hair and bedraggled clothes, his thoughts were confirmed.“That depends. What sort of help were you looking for?”

Iris felt slightly on edge as the man paced behind her, her gaze drifted over the items on his desk- she needed something to look at as she got easily unnerved.
“I keep seeing myself from third person... killing this woman” she stumbled over her words as they poured from her lips “skinning her alive... but she gets up and walks away, She is me...” It was a recurring dream- one she had been having every night now for the past three months.

“They threatened me that if I ever left they would kill my family... I should have listened...”

Jack felt the air leave his body as he was shoced against the wall. His eyshot up in surprise as he looked at the girl, trying to get his breath back. “Can I help you?” He wheezed. “Jesus… remind me to never let you lead dances.”

The thought of being sedated did not suit her fancy so she sat, shaky hands and breathing-
“I’m sorry Jackso-, Lieutenant...” she wanted to kick his ass but even she realised when she needed to play along for her own safety

Her eyes widened as she pushed her chair away fro the table, her cuffs still secure on her risks she backed away.
“y-you..” she looked up at the mirror knowing fully well it was two way, “help! please, get him away from me?! you bastard you killed them!” she wasn't usually one to curse but with Jackson it seemed to be constant.

She almost threw up at the thought, “n-no, what?! I could never do that to them...” she whimpered looking at the ground, her puffy eyes red from crying.
“I have been held hostage of sorts by something called the ‘organisation’...” she had to get them to believe her, “They forced me to stay there to learn how to be a murderer or else they’d kill my family- I escaped and when I got back to my home I-” she choked out her words “I found them...”
She should not have spilt that information, a betrayal to the org didn’t go unpunished, however she did not care, she had nothing left to live for

She looked around the dreary room as tears welled up in her eyes once more, she could fill a swimming pool with the amount she had cried that night.
As the investigator entered the room her eyes made their way to the floor “I have been framed, I could never do that to them- I loved them too much” everything about her screamed innocent, however the investigator needed to dig deeper

She gave a slight nod and slowly made her way into his office, looking around at the décor and surroundings. She sat herself down in the large chair facing his desk with a quiet sigh
“My past placing had been trying to help- truly he was but he gave up I guess...” she seemed to draw invisible shapes on the arm of the chair with her finger- her mind and heart in two different places. “I suppose you could call my nightmares rather violent”

Iris shook in terror as she was pinned against the wall by the police officer to be cuffed, words no longer coming from her mouth- she couldn’t find the words after having walked in on her loved ones like this.
Tears ran down her face as she sat in the back of the police car, they had did this- they had destroyed her life. No. Not just the higher up, but Jackson. She knew he always kept close tabs on his students.
“I’m innocent...” was all she could muster the courage and strength to say, it was quiet but audible enough for the chief to hear her. Her voice was shaky.

She got out. Her backpack slung over her shoulder as she quickly made her way off the grounds wasting no time at all, her hair tied into a pony tail to keep it from her face. She did not have time for distractions right now.
She hitch hiked from the nearby road to her small town, she vaguely remembered her way home from the town hall, the street lights flickered as they always had making her path eerie and uncomfortable to walk but she knew it would all be worth it once she made it home to her loving family - her beautiful brother, her adoring parents. She could not wait to be back in their embrace...
She knew her father always hid a key under the flower pot in case she ever came home but she found herself not needing it as the lock was busted. She quickly ran in, dropping her bag to the floor yelling “mommy?! dad?” she bolted up the stairs and into their room-
She covered her mouth as she fell to the floor, she turned and threw up at the sight before her, the smell... the blood.... she struggled to stand as she went into her brothers room seeing his corpse through blurry tearful eyes and sobs that stained her once rosy cheeks... dead; they were all dead.
This was her fault. She could only blame herself, she let them down, she betrayed them. she killed them. All for her own selfish reasons, all because she could not bare to be at that place any longer.
She knew the org would be on their way to get her. She had to make it out before they arrived then find burial for her beloved family at a later time, she didn’t want her childhood home to become a crime scene.

As the man turned his back she stuck her tongue out at him in a mocking way, turning and storming off. Heading back to her dorm she packed a bag, she may be able to escape and warn her family before anyone sees her, but for now she would sleep- allowing her to wake early in the morning, around 3am.
She could not stay here any more, she promised she would for her family’s sake but it was making her miserable and they were still being threatened. She could help them on her own, she could save them and be the hero she dreamed of being.

“I’ll prove it when I’m there to stop you hurting them” she mumbled to herself under her breath. sighing she couldn’t see anyway out of this “and what would you have me do now?” she looked up at him with annoyance
