it’s amazing the things you realize when you lose someone. you get mad at yourself for not saying the things you could’ve for a million times. you take for granted the days spent doing nothing when you could have been with them. anyone can be taken. at anytime in our lives. but, we always wait until they’re gone to say the things we never had the courage before. so if you have something to say. say it. don’t wait for another day. for a better time because you might not get the opportunity again. say it whilst you can. otherwise the only thing you’ll be saying is ‘goodbye’ and i think that’s the most painful thing to say of all.

“I think being single is an exercise that every person should go through at some point in their adult life. It is a time that gives us the distance and clarity that we need to get to know who we truly are as a person, and to firmly define what it is that we want in a future partner”

In the morning,
You’re the first thought.
If I choose to believe
In the words I said
I find my way out.
I find my feet that move me forward
When my heart drags me back
To the boy I pushed under the waves
As I gasped for air.
Mentally [I’m here]
With you always
Searching for ways
To be a better friend
In passivity
The cursed thing
That I swore I’d never again be
But my soul reminds me
That there’s so much activity
If I choose to move my feet again
A true, but passive friend
Moves actively towards a better them
Mentally [I’m here]
But not always do I push through
Towards something true

“I’ve been trying hard, to not fall for her. I’ll have to confess that I failed miserably with that mission, sadly enough. And now I can’t get her out of my mind. She’s stuck in there, making me all weird. I can’t sleep at night, goddamnit. She’s haunting me every waking hour, too. She’s everywhere and nowhere and everything reminds me of her. And I can’t. I can’t have her. She’s already taken. She’s already caught. And I’m so stupid, I let myself to fall. And I can’t do anything about it. Just riding out the storm. And hope it will go fast and not hurt too much, along the way - to find my old wings and fly away.”

“Some people are good at being in love. Some people are good at love. Two very different things, I think. Being in love is the romantic part—sex all the time, midday naps in the sheets, the jokes, the laughs, the fun, long conversations with no pauses, overwhelming separation anxiety … Just the best sides of both people, you know? But love begins when the excitement of being in love starts to fade: the stress of life sets in, the butterflies disappear, the sex becomes a chore, the tears, the sadness, the arguments, the cattiness … The worst parts of both people. But if you still want that person by your side through all of those things … that’s when you know—that’s when you know you’re good at love.”
