Aye, no problem!! I love answering questions about how I view the characters! I think about them all the time, so it's fun to actually talk about them!

For Lucifer I go with his canonical sexual preference which is being a "switch" (confirmed by Vivziepop!) He and Lilith switched often, and I think they actually had a very healthy sex life. They enjoyed trying things and spicing it up in the bed room - I mean, they've been together for more than a millennia, right? That's plenty of time to explore what they like and dislike in bed, and I think they were very open to trying new things (especially as more sinners came to Hell and brought with them new things to try).

I also see Lucifer as having a wide range in bed. He'll be a pillow princess. He'll be a power-bottom. He'll be a service top. He'll be a dom top. A sub top. A dom bottom. A sub bottom. Like, he has fun with it. He's very fluid in his preferences.

He might prefer some more than others, but I think overall he just really enjoys making his partner feel good. He enjoys giving them pleasure. Usually, he's willing to be whatever it is they want him to be, though, he still does have the choice to indulge in what he wants as well. I adore Lucilith and I think, even though they obviously had problems that led to divorce, they still had a very healthy and trusting sex life. They both cherished the closeness and intimacy of sex. It meant a lot to them.

Furthermore, sex is a very important factor to Lucifer and his relationships. That's not to say that he'd pressure Alastor into anything, he would never do that, but having sex is something he enjoys doing with his partner and it's another way that he expresses his love. So, in a relationship with Alastor, I think it'd be a fun dynamic to explore with Lucifer learning that not everyone values sex the same as him, and him learning that even though Alastor may not want to have sex, that doesn't mean he doesn't love or care about him (and vice versa with Alastor learning to understand why Lucifer values sex so much when it doesn't come off as a very important thing to him).

For Alastor, I prefer him being a bottom.

I've seen posts saying Alastor would a top because he wouldn't let anyone have any kind of power over him, and he would enjoy the power it gave him over his partner, but like, being a switch, top, or bottom doesn't give anyone power over you, ya know? It's literally just a sexual preference, there's no real power exchange. Everyone is on an equal level.

There can be a power difference. There definitely can be. One person might be naturally more dominant than their partner, but that doesn't mean that the person topping automatically has more power than the other. People's sex lives can't be contained in neat tiny boxes with a set rules they have to follow, human are way to complex and multi-faceted for that. (BDSM can't be put in neat tidy boxes either, but it DOES rely a lot more on having rules, explicit communication, and power exchange. Remember folks, BDSM is all about being safe, sane, and consensual.)

I can see how being a bottom could be more vulnerable considering you're on the receiving end, but it's not like bottoms can't be "in control" during sex. Even if you wanted to give them a BDSM relationship, bottoms can still be Doms and tops can be Subs. (Might've gone off on a little side-tangent there, I just find it annoying when the general consensus is bottom's being automatically submissive and tops being automatically dominant. Top does not equal dominant. Bottom doesn't not equal submissive. They are two different things).

ANYWAY! Back to the original question!

A little TMI for Alastor and his sexual preferences (tho you did ask and this question was going to be NSFW anyway considering the topic), but the way I see it, in my head, Alastor doesn't like putting parts of himself inside someone else. His dick, to be specific. I'm pretty sure he'd be okay shoving his hand in someone's chest and pulling their heart out, but putting his dick in someone? It's strange. It's uncomfortable. He doesn't like seeing it go in and out. He finds it really fucking weird. Sure, it might be pleasurable, but overall he just doesn't vibe with it.

Also just the motion of someone thrusting into someone else looks weird to him. Like, it's just weird to see. If he were to top, I don't think he'd be able to get how weird it looks out of his head. (Am I, as an ace individual, projecting on him? Yes. Yes, I am.)

But for bottoming? Well, he doesn't have to worry about sticking his dick in anyone nor looking "stupid" during sex. Typically, how I write him, he's more passive during sex. Maybe not entirely pillow-princessy, but he generally lets whoever is topping do all the work. They get to put their back into it. If they wanna fuck him, they better earn it.

The only time I'd write him being incredibly active during sex is when his power-kink comes into play. I 100% headcanon Alastor having a power-kink, which makes it fun when he also gets really insecure about someone being more powerful than him. It's a surreal experience being both aroused by power and insecure when someone else is stronger than him, which is another reason why he just...doesn't put effort into those kinds of relationships. It's too complicated and he doesn't want to explore his own equally-complicated feelings about it. No siree, he is going to lock it away in a little tiny box and never address it.

But, even with all that, he still has a general indifference/neutrality towards sex, and has so many trust issues that it's not like he often (if ever) finds someone that he'd be willing to have sex with anyway.

And, there we go! The answer is a little longer than I anticipated LMAO but yeah, this is how I interrupt the sexual relationship between Alastor and Lucifer (and their sexual preference). I like to think about their dynamic a lot, but also, at the end of the day, I just...I just like bottom Alastor 😂 I'll be real, it just vibes with me.

Every time I see top!Alastor I kind of just 😬 It's an automatic reaction. If it's fan-art, I just end up scrolling past it really fast. If its a fic, I move along, even if the fic itself sounds good. There's just a mental block in my brain for top!Alastor and I'm being so serious when I say I don't even know why. It was immediate. Didn't like top!Alastor from day one XD

And that's not to shame or insult those who do like top!Alastor. We're all here to have fun and everyone has their own preferences. It's just sad that there's not as many bottom!Alastor fics out there 🥲 I will change that, mark my words

Alastor uses the same manipulation tactic on every victim.

He waits until they are down on their luck, and their pride is hurt. He know when people are desperate for help, that is the only time they would be willing to make a deal with someone like him.

Charlie was feeling hopless. She blamed herself for the hotel being under attack. She needed information on how to kill the angels. Alastor had no need to make a deal for her soul in that moment. He wanted her trust.

"She's filled with potential I can guide."

Vaggie was frustrated with nobody in the hotel taking her seriously. She couldn't film a decent commercial, so the hotel still looked like a joke. She was willing to let Alastor help in return for a small favour that wouldn't affect her in the least.

Husk was about to lose everything. His money, his power, his status as an overlord.

Alastor starts out with a small deal. Offering something small for something insignificant in return.

A favour from Charlie where she didn't have to hurt anyone.

The promise that he would never have to work wirh TV again for Vaggie.

A randome soul contract for another soul contract.

Alastor starts small to build up a false sense of confidence in his victim. The risk gets higher as the reward gets higher.

Husk didn't lose everything in one game. He lost hand after hand to Alastor.

Until he was so desperate he bet with his own soul to try win everything back.

Alastor asking for a favour was a simple excuse to make a deal with Charlie. To let her gaurd down when making deals with her in the future.

Alastor is playing the long game as a vilan. He's having fun just watching sinners fail for now. When he gets bored, he will use Charlie for something else.

I know Valentine's Day was two days ago, but I have a slow brain okay.

Anyway, just like everyone else I just want to marvel at how perfect Alastor's Valentine's Day merch is.

Look at this, look at him. Everyone else's pinup was sexy and they had revealing outfits. But Alastor? Someone at this app said that he is a modern equivalent of a Victorian woman showing her ankle. I truly love it, he undone his bow tie and that's it, that's the most he's showing, his neck without a bow. He isn't even in any sexy pose either. He kinda looks as if he was laying on a couch and someone told him to pose.

And then his Valentine's card? It's not about love or anything like this, this is about friendship, about platonic love. It literally says 'On a day devoted to lovers I am glad to have you as a friend' and I'm over the moon with it.

After seven therapists, four psychiatrists, several antidepressants/other medications, multiple therapy methods, alternative medicines, changes in lifestyle, etc …. It’s become clear that I need special aid in order to have a better quality of life.

At the moment, my mom accompanies me everywhere. When she leaves home, I’m already stretched thin. And although her presence keeps me calm, she’s not very skilled at preventing attacks from happening, or de-escalating them if they do. The constant accompanying is a strain for her, as well.

My hope is that a service dog will provide me with a reliable grounding presence. It can be trained to provide tactiles like body pressure, mouthing, licks. It can smell my triggers, lead me to safe spaces, block a personal space bubble, find help if I need it, and bring me the daily calmness that everyone else enjoys. American law would allow me to bring my service dog to all public spaces, businesses, and during emergencies.

With a service dog, perhaps I can again walk five blocks to the cafe, and use public transport, attend parties and events, manage a full-time job, fly overseas to visit my family, and so much more. I want to get my life going again.

I’m asking for $5,500. A bred puppy (service dogs are trained from a young age, and good breeding is highly recommended) costs around $2,000, the estimated annual cost for a dog is $2,000, and the Owner Trainer Academy is $1,575.

With your help, I could fulfill my dreams within just a couple years! Any and all aid is greatly appreciated!

Yes, there are quite a few non-Taobao hanfu stores that are more easily accessible for those outside of China! If any followers have experience with these stores, please share!:

1. Nüwa Hanfu - a hanfu shop based in Ohio, founded by @mochihanfu! All items are carefully curated for quality, and Mochi is very communicative and transparent on sourcing & logistics. Lovely selection of hanfu & accessories, including original designs.

2. Hanfu Story - a Singapore-based hanfu shop with a large selection of hanfu & accessories. There’s an interview with the founder here.

3. New Hanfu - mentioned in my post here. I’ve personally never shopped there, but I did get a message giving it a good review, so I think it’s worth a look! ^^

4. NewMoonDance - has an appealing selection of hanfu & qipao. They also provide a daigou/代购 (surrogate shopping) service, through which they can ship hanfu from Taobao to international customers for a fee.

5. Fashion Hanfu - has a large collection of hanfu, also sells wedding qungua and Chinese-style pet clothes.

6. Hanfu Modern - hanfu (including dance hanfu) & qipao with a casual, contemporary vibe.

7. Chinasquad - attractive selection of curated hanfu & accessories (as well as contemporary Chinese fashion brands).

8. Yesstyle - recommended by a follower. According to them, “You can also buy hanfu off Yesstyle since it’s just a Taobao reseller if you want an English website. The prices aren’t bad and you can order parts of an ensemble in different sizes if you need to. I recently bought a ruqun from them and it was really nice!”

Generally speaking, non-Taobao English websites that sell hanfu are going to be Taobao resellers, because Taobao is where most hanfu brands sell their clothes. If you can understand Chinese, you can buy directly from Taobao stores that ship internationally. I have a list of recommendations for Taobao hanfu stores here & hanyuansu stores here.
