To be fair to Polyphemus, if a bunch of strangers broke into my home and killed and ate my pet(s), I would probably try to kill all of them too. I wouldn't care how hungry they were at that point. If you had waited five minutes for me to get home I would have made you some sandwiches, but NoOoOo.
really like this cover i made for my wip. made a version with the title, but i'll post it if i ever finish another novel. the process is the same as the last cover. i just switched the figure to this
and added the scratch edit. still coming up with a summary that doesn't just become a full blown synopsis.
in the mean time, here's some more movies i've been watching that either have a similar theme even if the aesthetic doesn't quite match:
The Heretic Bride (Die Ketzerbraut) - a very dramatized take on the conflict between Martin Luther and the catholic church. Has a great woman villain in the sense that she's probably the most twisted character & isn't held back from being just as duplicitous and scheming as the priest who's giving the orders. and does to vera what was done to her (could've been a lie) just to keep her luxury. diversity win! the badass female character is a piece of shit 😀
A Dark Song - a controlling person positions themself as a spiritual authority and uses that knowledge to have their orders followed with little or no question. also this English guy wearing a ritual durag sent me into the stratosphere LOL by the end they were probably seeing things so this is more paranormal with an unreliable narrator, which i don't see myself doing.
