The bots are making me paranoid

Every time I get any sort of activity, it's been 50/50 whether or not it's a real person or a bot, which sucks. Some bots are really easily to spot: profile image of a generic woman (one click on their profile, then BAM p*rn), default image with no posts (or filled with p*rn), or a nonsensical name like Adfe23S.

But lately, it looks like some of them are getting weird. Like someone followed me with an profile of 3 people. 2 are upside down with only their legs showing, and the 1 right side-up person with only their head visible. (And of course, they haven't posted anything)

But like the profile image is so confusing that it is actually making me question if it really is a bot, or a new user who has quite the personality.

So if you are a new user, can you please post something before doing anything else? I don't want to accidentally block and report someone, because I thought they were a bot.

Begone new layout

Yeah...Just got the new layout. It sucks, REAL BAD. They reduced/shrunk the thing people care about, the content and cluttered the screen with an enlarged menu (also flipped the search bar for some reason?) Anyway, it was a real eyesore, I'm so glad other users found a solution to getting the old layout back (though not an exact replica it is still better than the updated version. Go to @pixiel if you want the old layout.

P.S. there's a reason you shouldn't use a mobile format on a computer. It looks bad.

Poppy Playtime AU

As much as I like the main concept of Poppy Playtime, I’m disappointed in their use of the recurring trope (Kill y to make x). It would have be fine if earlier mascot horror games (FNAF, BATIM) didn’t use the same trope, but they did.

I ended up fixated on ‘what ifs’ scenarios that led me to a Poppy Playtime AU. Most of the premise is the same, living killer toys, shady company adopts kids, the scenario where all workers go ‘missing’ and the factory shuts down. The difference is that the toys are alive without using “recycled human souls.”

Instead, the toys are alive through bio-science, cybernetics, and using the mysterious Poppy recipe and a newly discovered micro-organism. It took some time, but after many experiments, trial and errors, they got the ‘create living toys’ process down…kind of…before it all went to hell.

Other notes about the AU (Will add more notes in further updates)

Large toys like Huggy Wuggy, Kissy Missy, Mommy Long Legs, etc. were early creations, while smaller toys like Bonzo Bunny, the smaller huggy wuggies, Boogie Bot, etc. were later creations with Poppy being the last creation made before the ‘disaster’. (There is a reason for changing the production timeline, will be explain in further updates)

The company adopting kids is still used for nefarious means. The kids are used as “play testers” for the toys, basically teaching the toys how to interact with kids.

The cybernetics portion of the a toy’s creation is comprised of two parts. The body’s original shell, and the brain. Everything else is biology getting high on Poppy Juice.

So far I’m calling the AU Fresh Souls. So the tag would be “poppy playtime fresh souls au”. If someone can come up with a better title I’d love to hear it. I also just want you hear your thoughts in genera!

The Invader Zim comic I started...2-3 years ago?? Am I ashamed for how long I procrastinated on finishing it? Yep. Am I also proud that I finally went back and finished it. Also yep.

Anyway, Dib always seemed to be the type to like those trashy romance novels you’d stumble across online (Are the novels parodies? Probably. Does Dib know that? Probably not.)

I haven’t posted a drawing on this site in years, and when I finally do... It’s a Sun and Moon AU. Whelp...yep. I kind of slunk backed into hibernation after failing to complete an Invader Zim comic (which I am only now going back and finishing ironically).

Anyway here is a bit of creature info, Sun and Moon are alien creatures with minor plant-like characteristics, mainly their heads. The two are slightly different species, with their own abilities and downsides. 

Moon Abilities: water resistance, bioluminescent, night vision, and can breathe underwater. 

Downsides: can’t control rays/petals, poorer vision in daylight, vulnerable to high temperatures

Sun Abilities: Regenerative body, sheds the dark red parts of his body which can be used as fabric/twine (The parts around his waist and legs are past shedding remains and aren’t connected to him), control of his rays/petals, and minor photosynthesis.

Downsides: Eating is more of a hassle, shedding itches, vulnerable to low temperatures

Shipping Hot takes

Nothing annoys me more, when people call you gross or the P-word for liking a ship even when you’re using age-appropriate versions of the characters. Like, there is no winning with those people. 

Screw it, I’ll give an example. I shipped Meta knight x Kirby when I played the games as a kid. I liked the dynamic of bubbly cute personality with brooding cool personality. Never thought Kirby was underaged, just a cute pink alien. Then later, I discovered the anime and realized “oh Kirby is a baby in this and Meta Knight is much older, I won’t ship them in the anime; I’ll just ship them in the game.” Years later, I get back in Kirby games and wondered “gee, I wonder if there are any posts of my childhood ship on here” and I get...all of that. 

Look, I can understand not liking a ship because of an age difference, but that doesn’t meet mean the ship has to include the age difference! AU fanfics/concepts exists for a reason. To explore scenarios that don’t happen in canon.  

So yeah, that’s my ted talk for tonight, please be open-minded.
