Testosterone Survey
This is a survey for anyone who is currently taking or at one point has taken testosterone for the sake of Hormone Replacement Therapy. How you identify yourself is unimportant to the survey; tucutes, transmeds, nonbinary folks, binary trans people, and even those who identify with MOGAI labels are welcome to answer if they have taken testosterone or are currently taking it.
If you take estrogen or have not been on testosterone, please do not take this survey. I’d appreciate, however, if you share it so that any of your followers that may fit the criteria can answer.
The purpose of this survey is to find statistical data on similarities between transgender patients who have undergone any testosterone treatments. I would greatly appreciate if you answer it and spread it around. You can also leave your email at the end of the survey if you wish to be notified of future surveys.
Please check it out!

So i got evicted
I had to use the money my room mates paid me for our super late gas bills for a uhaul to move out in 4 days.
I dont know how long i can stay where i am.
I still havent got a job even though ive been applying to everything i meet the requirements for, and some that i dont.
I dont even have gas money to get to an interview, and i have to pick up my dad for my sister’s graduation tomorrow, and i cant afford it.
I have to go to the doctor for an infection in my face but i cant afford that either.
Theres an art gallery that wants my paintings to sell for me but it’s a 20$ fee for every piece i put in. Which i dont have right now, but my pieces would sell for more than that so it would be really good for me.
If anyone can help me out that would be great.

“Bangladesh’s marginalised transgender community has finally been granted the right to use their correct identity to register as a voter.
Government officials have given full recognition to the hijras cultural status by creating a specialist “third gender” category on Bangladesh’s national voters list.
Previously, the hijra community could only sign up to vote as men or women – but many avoided doing so because they did not feel adequately represented.
Now, individuals can register to vote using their own identity as a hijra.
Government estimates say there are around 10,000 hijra in the country although the Bandhan Hijra Singha, a transgender rights group, states that the figure is actually around 100,000.”

The thing about trans women that people don’t talk about enough is the voice problem. Many of us are afraid to admit it, but there’s something incredibly degrading about being expected to alter the way we use our voice around people.
Really, like, the way that trans women are taught and expected to speak is incredibly tedious, unnatural, and obviously forced to the ear of any speech pathologist. So the “solution” is for us to go “full-time” and essentially ditch the voice that comes naturally.
It isn’t right, but there’s no winning in either case. People will misgender you if you speak naturally, and if you do try to use your “feminized” voice you’re honestly putting yourself at risk of violence, and how the fuck am I supposed to feel confident when knowing full well that the sounds coming out of me aren’t genuine or convincing to anyone?
This is a serious fucking problem that doesn’t get addressed. Trans women are expected to find services and often pay absurd sums of money to get training or “therapy” for the voice, but all you are really doing is practicing the art of speaking in a submissive and stereotyped voice. Enter radfems, who would then use this as a weapon against us, claiming that we are perpetuating *ppfffpffpfafbloobpblboooblbllblblpp* by using our voices in a way that makes us feel safe.
But, unless you’re the lucky 5-10% of trans women who can pass even after speaking, that safety is not only unlikely, but more often than not people are going to look at you with disgust and of course you know what happens once you’re outed.
Why should I have to talk like a fucking cartoon character? Cis women do NOT sound the way that these voice experts insist they do, because trans women have to speak primarily with a head tone, completely forgoing the chest and therefore removing the part of the sound that makes it sound like speaking and not fucking squealing.
If you care about trans women, expecting us to change our voices in order to pass as cis is fucking gross.

Shika Corona strums her guitar on a Kuala Lumpur stage, the crowd dancing as she launches into a chorus, “Gender doesn’t lie between your thighs!”
Shika, 42, is the transgender singer and guitarist of Tingtong Ketz, a Malaysian three-piece band whose upbeat songs about queer and transgender life are unique in the strait-laced Southeast Asian nation.
Cross-dressing, sodomy and same-sex acts are illegal in Muslim-majority Malaysia, where civil rights groups say persecution of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community is growing.
“She loves me so much, she didn’t want me to burn in hell,” Shika said, describing how her mother’s request to reverse her gender transitioning process inspired her song “Berubah”, which means “to change” in Malay.
“But I couldn’t do that,” she added. “I’m so sorry, because this is my true self.”
Many of her songs deal with the experience of not being accepted in a conservative Muslim family and society, said Shika, who founded the band in 2015.
“I couldn’t be myself or express myself,” she says of growing up transgender.
Shika, who is also a designer and visual artist, said she was inspired to pursue music after visiting Japan on a scholarship in 2014.
“In Japan, I saw so many girls carrying guitars,” she said. “I thought it was so cool and it inspired me to stick to my dream of starting my own band.”
She cites Laura Jane Grace, the transgender frontwoman of U.S. punk band Against Me!, as a musical inspiration, as well as another Malaysian LGBT band named Shh…Diam!, or “Shh…Quiet!”.
Its guitarist plays drums for Shika’s band, and the two groups often play gigs in the few LGBT safe spaces around the Malaysian capital.
“A lot of kids we play to…they’ve never met queer people before, they don’t have queer friends,” said Faris Saad, the transgender lead singer of Ssh…Diam!
“We understand that and we answer every question that people ask us.”
Malaysia will not accept same-sex marriage or LGBT rights, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has said, while Islamic leaders say homosexuality is against religious teachings.
Last September, two women were caned for “attempting lesbian sex” in the east coast state of Terengganu.
This month, a minister and other Muslim groups protested after LGBT activists attended a march for International Women’s Day.
Despite the risks, Shika said she was not worried about her public visibility.
“We just want to have fun playing,” she said.
Get her band’s music on Bandcamp here!

Despite what liberals say, an ‘x’ marker on government identification is not a step forward for trans and nonbinary inclusion, it is a creation of a masterlist of trans and/or nonbinary people, it is just another chance to be mistreated and catalogued by a government that does not want us to exist. A true ‘step forward’ for trans and nonbinary inclusion would be the removal of gender markers from all government documentation.

During my first month with my therapist, I was given this worksheet to read and work on. She noticed that while I was talking with her, that my thoughts followed a lot of these. I wasn’t aware that my anxiety had brought me down paths of low self-worth and stinky thinking.  After a couple of weeks of talking with her, she gave me this worksheet to work on.
Tumblr media
While, at first, I thought these weren’t going to work out, I was very surprised to see just how easy they were to use . My homework at that time was to identify which sort of thinking I used on the regular and which ones would best challenge them for me. So, what do you think? Do any of the maladaptive thinking patterns sound like you? which ways would you like to untwist your thinking?

The Truth of BuzzFeed’s Grindr BBQ
The Buzzfeed article was titled “This Man Invited People To A “BBQ Not Orgy” On Grindr And It Was Surprisingly Heartwarming.” It’s about how Chris Bowman, a 61 year old man from Apex, North Carolina has been hosting an annual summer BBQ. He advertises this BBQ through the gay dating/hookup app, Grindr. It’s about how the event is surprisingly sweet and Bowman, who is a recovered alcoholic, wants to give back to the community and bring people together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TL;DR Chris is a registered sex offender with a history of pedophilia and preying on young people. His ‘not an orgy’ and community talk is a gaslighting tactic to groom young people into having sex with him. Buzzfeed, Vice, and other social media outlets giving his event a platform endangers LGBT youth.
Buzzfeed Link: Click Here
Time for the real shit. Buckle UP.
A group of four of us (J, M, S, and A) attended the BBQ in the summer of 2017. J received an invite similar to the one shown in the Buzzfeed article over Grindr, and we’re young and dumb so we decided what the hell, let’s go. We rolled up and saw a fire truck and ambulance already there. He’d invited the local fire department and EMS to attend the BBQ. The food was admittedly very good, and the crowd was a strange mix of after-church and from Grindr. Most of the other folks at the BBQ seemed fine and kind. Buzzfeed got that right. Here is what they left out:

1997: Chris is giving Daniel, a 14 yo boy, a golf lesson. He locks the doors to the store and turns off the lights. He comes up behind Daniel under the impression of adjusting the child’s technique. He reaches down into Daniel’s underwear and molests him.
1998: Chris’s daughter has two friends over for a slumber party. They are sisters. When everyone is asleep, Jessica, a 15 yo girl, is walking down the stairs of his multi-level house. Chris approaches, pulls down her shorts, and performs oral sex on her. He stops when Jessica’s sister stumbles upon the scene.
2005: Chris provides his house as a location for two friends, a 24 yo and 18 yo, to have sex with their underage girlfriends, 14 yo and 15 yo.
He appealed his 2005 convictions that testimony from 1997 & 98 was inadmissible in the determination of guilt phase of his trial.
THE BBQ
Chris knew who we were and immediately inserted himself into our group. We figured, yeah we’ll talk with him a while—he gave us all this food, so we kind of have to (!!THIS IS HIS STRATEGY!!). Anyway, we listened to him talk about orgies, sex, golf, and drugs in Europe for about an hour. Topics he hit:
-        Orgies he’d attended in downtown Paris where you circled the arc de triumph in your car until forming a chain of other searching cars that would eventually peel off into a warehouse or somewhere to initiate the orgy. It’s cool you, should totally try it sometime! OKAY.
-        He talked a lot about how his favorite drug to use was Black Beauty
-        He talked a lot about how good the golfing was in Scotland (He molested a 14 yo boy in 1997 while teaching a golf lesson!)
-        He spent a lot of time trying to convince us to attend the “BBQ After Dark”
The heat was incredible that day and we were starting to get tired of his weird sex talk. Chris saw this and asked J what was wrong. J told him it was just kind of hot. Chris followed up by inviting J to go on and take his shirt off. J said no, he was fine. Chris said, “Oh no, come on! Take your shirt off! I’ll take my shirt off!” J ignored it. We were all uncomfortable. Throughout the ENTIRE event, Chris constantly reminded us about the after dark portion of the BBQ, which we were all very invited to. We had no plans of going, but kept our refusals soft and polite out of respect, because again, the BBQ is a tactic to make you treat him kinder and feel bad about thinking he’s creepy.
THE NEXT DAY
This was when the solicitations started. For the next year and a half until J deleted his Grindr last fall, Chris continued to send J messages trying to move things forward. He also tried to pick up A and S through J’s Grindr. He’s talked about how he’s really excited about the buzz the event has been getting and how he’s hoping the event will grow and grow. J hasn’t responded to the messages that have kept coming for over a year. Attached are a few screenshots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
CONCLUSION
We tried to contact Buzzfeed after the article was first published about how they had misrepresented the nature of the event. When they didn’t respond, we didn’t think it mattered too much. Maybe we were being too critical? The food was good… However, now that we are aware of Chris’s history of pedophilia, we want to make sure anyone who decides to attend knows what to expect.

help a closeted trans woman transition
i swear i can’t do this anymore. i can’t keep listening to my coworkers and roommates constantly misgendering me and calling me by my deadname. i’m pretty sure i’m going to lose my job if i transition and my roommates constantly make transphobic and homophobic jokes in front of me, but my dysphoria makes me want to literally kill my self every single day and i can’t take it anymore. i have to transition but it’s going to be so hard. i so desperately need gender affirming clothes, money for hrt and doctors visits, and other things to ensure my safety during my transition. i only make minimum wage so i really have money for none of that but it’s going to kill me if i have to stay in the closet much longer. i just need to transition, it’s my only option.
