I've always wondered about the connection of popcorn and movies-- I know that it has always been the idea to munch popcorn as you watch that new movie, but the way

I was super excited when my inbox heralded the news this morning that this awesome promo is back for what they call Final Extension for a limited time (the photo says “Ending Soon”). I was so disappointed when the deal ended and I wasn't able to buy the last time because I was hoping the deal will last until the end of its validity period. It was my bad, I know, I shouldn't have waited so long!
So when I saw the wonderful news, I didn't even think twice and purchased right away! I love Wendy's Baconator and the 36% savings means a lot when you have great plans on splurging with friends. Trying out different restaurants and cafes would have to be one of the things that my fiance and I love
to do. For our 3rd anniversary, he suggested trying out the Themed Buffet at Hotel Jen (former Traders
Hotel Manila). His officemates told him they tried it before and recommended it. They also pointed
him to a deal being offered at Metrodeal where you'd get 30% discount. I guess you can't get any better
reviews than that, right? He chose the Themed Dinner Buffet offered at P760 (valued at P1088) per
person.
Since our anniversary fell on a Thursday, the theme for the dinner buffet was Pinoy Fiesta. I love other
cuisines but classic Filipino dishes would still be on top of my foodie list.It's my ultimate comfort food.
The Kare Kare was pretty good as well as our super favorite, crispy pata. What I love about buffet
settings like these is that it reminds me of those town fiestas back in my mom's hometown. Food laid
out and you just choose the dishes you want.
It was a truly satisfying meal and we really enjoyed it. Totally worth it! More so since my fiance got it
on discount. We actually agreed to try the other themed dinners some time--they have Asian on
Mondays, Mexican-Spanish on Tuesdays, Jen's Specialties (makes you wonder, right?) on Wednesdays
and Sundays, Pinoy Fiesta Thursdays, Seafood Grill on Fridays, and Barbecue Party on Saturdays.

When it comes planning a good get together with friends, getting a viable venue is one of the toughest
decisions to make. It should be somewhere that everybody will agree on and this can be pretty tricky for
a group of eight. Since it was my turn to set the next get together with my college friends, I was on a
lookout for a good place we can all agree on. Food, of course, is one of our priorities, to make sure we’ll
have a great time.
Luckily, I found this great offer at Metrodeal for a group meal good for 5 persons at Gerry’s Restaurant
and Bar for only P999 with 2 set meal options to choose from valued at P1370. This deal met my
requirements perfectly—ideal venue (I chose Greenbelt Branch since it’s the most accessible to all of us)
and guaranteed good food (we all know we love the food that Gerry’s serve). So I purchased 2 vouchers,
knowing that we can easily clean a meal good for 10 persons.
Date was set, vouchers on hand, needless to say, we had a lot of fun. The food was as great as expected,
of course. I can’t get enough of their Sizzling Sisig which made we consider the deal in the first place
since it was part of Set Meal #1. We selected both Set Meals since we had a couple of vouchers so it’s
good to have a bit of everything. The Sinigang na Bangus Belly was fabulous too as well as the Spicy
Garlic Chicken.
With lots of laughter in between bites, it was totally a success. What made it even great is that we got
27% discount on the set meals.

There are times when you get tired of having the usual burger-spaghetti or fried chicken meal almost
every day. Splurging on steak can put a dent on your wallet if you do it regularly so you keep looking for
some balance when you go out on a gastronomic journey.
I found the much needed balance when I encountered this wonderful offer at Metrodeal for a 40%
discount on food and drinks at The Shrimp Shack. One thing I liked about the deal is that there’s a great
combination of familiar and uncommon dishes that seem interesting enough to try.
I chose the location most accessible to me from a short list of participating branches--Market! Market!
Branch and tagged along my 2 besties for an interesting foodie adventure. It was a good choice and I
loved proving myself right. It’s definitely a great discovery since it’s like a breath of fresh air as we oohed
and aahhed at the fantastic fusion of flavors that you don’t get to taste frequently enough. I so loved the
Shrimp Scampi Spaghetti and the Crispy Shrimp Heads. The Shrimp Popcorn may be a bit pricey at P195
but it’s definitely worth it!
It was out of the ordinary food trip and we had so much fun. I’d smile thinking about our reaction and
facial expressions as we take our first bite on the chorus of dishes we ordered and shared. A great offer
with delightful dishes, indeed, makes for great bonding moments.

Boodle Fight has suddenly gained much popularity of late, replete with pictures popping up in social
media here and there. But you have to admit, those images would stir something in you that would
make you want to go out and have some. I’d been meaning to treat my family to one so my kids would
experience the joy of eating out of a large banana leaf like how it was in the old days. Luckily, I found a
nice offer at Metrodeal which allowed me to finally do it.
I bought the offer for a Boodle Fight at Triple G Boneless Lechon Grill and Restaurant for only P349 with
regular price of P600. I loved the Bangus and Pork Belly while our 2 kids favored the Chicken Inasal and
hubby also enjoyed the Spicy Riblets. My brother & his girlfriend took part in our little feast as well so
we cleared that banana leaf in no time. The kiddos found it quite fascinating when I told them how we
used to eat that way on picnics by the river back in my hometown.
I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive when I first bought the deal. I wasn’t that familiar with
Triple G and I didn’t find Metrodeal reviews on the place before deciding to buy the voucher. But it was
quite a sweet offer that I just had to buy one and I’m so glad I did!

Part of my daily routine is finding the right shoes for my outfit and it used to be a bit time-consuming unearthing several pairs from their boxes before I get to the one I want.
