It's kind of a theory I wrote when I was drunk but I will show it to y'all. Take it with a grain of salt. Please

FNAF 4 actually has two protagonists: Evan/Crying Child and Michael. Player will be in Evan's position from Night 1-6, and as Michael in Night 7

Why?

Because if considering the mini-games too, the first 5 nights were Evan's nightmares caused by Michael's rentlessly bullying, leading the boy to being scared of the animatronic and got traumatized to the point he had nightmares about them. The 6th night was Evan in his coma, before he died, as implied in this night's mini-games

From the 7th night, it was Michael's nightmare. I think after The Bite of '83, he, besides got eaten up with guilt and depression, got traumatized by the animatronics too, especially Fredbear. That's why he doodled Nightmare Fredbear in the Survival Logbook. The gray box with locks that appeared in the ending, in my opinion was actually Evan's old plushies. Michael kept them in so he would not forget his younger brother, but also to forget the image of his father's creation, for now

There is a chance of many people experienced the same dreams, and for people who share the same blood, it's more likely to happened

This part might be more disturbing one and just an add-on thoughts, so I left under the cut

In another world, if Evan did not forgive his brother, and came back as a vengeful spirit just to torture Michael in his dreams just like Cassidy did with William in UCN. I mean, it's pretty explainable when he was bullied so prequently, and died in pain and grief. Because based on "I Got No Time" by TLT, the second verse feels like it was describing Evan's words after his death

If following this theory, then we played as Michael every night, and the mini-games were Evan's flashback before the incident
