Hello. Different anon here but OBS sounds nice, can you can give us a tutorial on how to use it to record or maybe where to start, if it’s not too much to ask? Thank you!

Hey Anon, I can write a quick guide. No problem.

HOW TO USE OBS

STEP 1: Download and install OBS (https://obsproject.com/)

STEP 2: Open the software

STEP 3: OBS will ask first time users if they wish to run the “Auto-Configuration Wizard”. Click Yes.

Select “optimize just for recording, I will not be streaming” and click Next.

Set Base Resolution to “Display”, set FPS to “30” and click Next.

Let the wizard do its work.

Click apply settings.

STEP 4: Tweak the settings. (You may skip this step if you agree with results of the Auto-Configuration Wizard.)

Open “Settings” (in the lower right corner)

Go to the “output” tab.

Choose where you want to save your recording by setting the Recording Path to your preferred destination.

Adjust the Recording Quality to your preferred setting. High Quality should be good enough in most cases, but feel free to experiment with the other options.

Set recording format to “mkv”.

Set Encoder to “Software (x264)”.

Go to the “video” tab.

Set Output Resolution to match your Base Canvas.

The Downscale value is only important if your Output Resolution is set lower than your Base Canvas. Leave it as it is.

Set the FPS anywhere between 24-30. 

Go to Hotkeys

If you want you can change the hotkeys registered to Start and Stop recording to your preferred keys. Default setting is “space”. PLEASE NOTE: OBS will react to the hotkeys, even if it is not the active screen. While this mean you can start playing your video and start recording with a single click, it also means accidental recordings becomes inevitable if you don’t pay attention!

Click OK to close “settings”.

STEP 5: LAST CHECKS!

If OBS shows a black screen, click the little eye next to “screen capture” under sources.

Make sure Desktop Audio is being recorded.

Make sure Mic/Aux is turned off.

STEP 6: LET’S RECORD!

Unless I’ve forgotten something, you are now ready to start recording.  Hit “start recording” whenever you’re ready!

[NEWS] Save the Stage: The New Collaborative Project “Theater Complex” has been Announced

With the measures that Japan has put in place to combat COVID-19, the stage industry in Japan, including 2.5D, has been facing some major challenges, including ticket refunds, cancellations of performances/events and other hurdles.

For more information about the situation of the 2.5D industry in Japan, please refer to this post: HERE 

In light of this, a new project to help the industry survive the crisis has been announced. Spearheaded by Matsuda Makoto, the “Theater Complex” project is a platform specialising in bringing theatre to the fans through other mediums.

Matsuda-san is the current President and CEO of Nelke Planning Co. Ltd., Chairman of Japan 2.5-Dimensional Musical Association and one of the key people involved in creating the genre of 2.5D (although not officially dubbed as such, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him the Father of 2.5D). He was recently featured on a radio show with 2.5D actor Sato Ryuji discussing 2.5D. That radio show is available: HERE

Some of the things that the project aims to do:

Video distribution of the existing stage performances

Live streaming distribution of the upcoming stage performances

Delivery of original content produced through the project

Especially for the original content, it seeks to utilise funds raised through crowdfunding, incorporate the ideas and suggestions proposed by the cast (actors/actresses) as well as the fans and bring these ideas and suggestions to life.

Crowdfunding for project will officially launch on May 01, 2020.

OKAY, SO.

Before i begin, pardon the shitty colour of the gif, it does no justice to the original source.

Anyway, i absolutely need to do this please forgive me.

But i absolutely need to say this: Yamagata Yuuki who played Clear from DRAMAtical murder’s dance is gorgeous. i am so happy i got to see someone like him play Clear and my memories of Clear only gets fonder with this man’s performance.

i don’t need to spell it out, this man’s effort is visible - and note, this part is at the End of the AI CATCH dance during the curtain close for his route. This is the end of the song and we can see even though he is getting breathless from the duration, his controls over his body parts - from his fingers, to his feet, his knees, his elbows, his wrist, his chest, his neck, his waist - don’t show signs of slacking. And the cherry on top? He could still flash a cheerful grin in the midst of all this.

RESPECT.

UPDATE: I think, I fixed all issues, that I found in file, and rewrote it, so I can share it, if you write me ask (logged)/PM here) When I watched it, video was good, but if someone will see mistakes here - tell me, please)   NOTE:  some players may show some audio and video issues like pixels/freeze (I saw it in GOMplayer for example), but file itself should be fine. I watched it in VLC, and there's was no issues at all.

A little question: is someone want to see Utaawase?  I can’t now watch the whole stage ‘cause I’m little busy this week, and I know some mistakes in first 10-15 minutes of video (i don’t know why, but I’ll fix it later), but maybe anyone want to see it as is, so you can write me)
