Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)

The Bangladesh Cricket board (BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board previously turned into a partner individual from the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 turned into a Full Member. BCB have three International Cricket teams which represent Bangladesh in international cricket, which are Bangladesh Men’s public cricket crew, Bangladesh women’s national cricket team and Bangladesh under-19 cricket team.

History

The Bangladesh Cricket Board was established in 1972 as the Bangladesh Cricket Control Board. Its first constitution was drafted in 1976. The board changed its name, dropping “Control” from its title, in January 2007. The board also controls the team’s sponsorship.Starting around 2003 media communications organization Grameenphone has supported the people’s public groups. Somewhere in the range of 2007 and 2011 they contributed ৳151.5 million (US$1.6 million) in creating sport in the country. In 2006 the Board established an academy to encourage the development of young and inexperienced players.The Board issues central contracts and match fees to the national players.

Regional Cricket Associations

In the 2022 Annual General Meeting, BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon reported to have altered the board’s constitution to clear a path for the Regional Cricket Associations. Mr. Papon, who promised to make decentralisation of country’s cricket through the creation of Regional bodies, back in 2013,at the point when first time he got chosen as the President of the cricket load up.At long last through the AGM 2022, he declared to make seven provincial bodies in the division of Barisal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet. While Mymensingh has been held under the Dhaka division. The territorial bodies which are similarly greater will have 11 individuals while more modest bodies will comprise of 7 individuals.
