One of the things that bothers me about people saying that Zutara shippers are delusional is that, after Katara forgives Zuko, there are quite a few scenes of Sokka and Suki, followed by more or less similarly framed scenes of Zuko and Katara.

(For what it's worth, there was actually much more focus on Zuko and Katara's hands than Sokka and Suki's, make of that what you will)
How is it not romantic subtext if there are not-so-subtle visual parallels with a canon romantic pairing?
actors about ships approximately 95% of the time: Oh, I don’t know, I mean maybe someday or in a different world, but I mean their dynamic is great how it is too, right? haha, I dunno, anyway-
AU where AtLA ended on a shot that captured the themes of friendship, found family, and the 4 nations coming together in peace… instead of a shoehorned kiss (and everyone wearing Earth Kingdom outfits..?).
I’ve been a diehard Zutara shipper since forever, but I maintain that the show should have ended without any canon ships except Sokka/ Suki. This “alternate ending” shot is one I’ve wanted to do basically since the finale first premiered, so I’m pleased to have finally drawn it (only 13 years late…).
♥ Please do not repost. If you like it and want to show people, share a link to this page instead. Thank you! | Background from AtLA, but otherwise it’s mine. That’s right folks we have progressed from manips to original art like a pokemon evolving.
its a song contest in europe, where every country (or at least a lot of them, and even some from outside of europe, like australia) gets to perform one song.
then after all the performances first the "professional" juries gets to vote, and then the public does! all those points combined make for the winners
its very interesting to watch, especially because of the different type of performances you'll get to see (like bands, ballets, rock, singing in their own language or english, etc etc)
and its also just fun to make fun of the other countries in a lighthearted and often not too political light for a change! :)
i hope this helped!! if you're still curious, i'd highly recommend watching a few clips from it on youtube. especially the 2021 versions of iceland, italy, ukraine, finland and france! i think those might give a good impression of what its like :D
