Summary: Seeing a girl flirt with your boyfriend causes some insecurities. But Anakin is quick to reassure you.

A/n: For some reason it was really difficult to think of a way to write this but then the inspiration just hit me and I finally finished it. Sorry it took a while to get this out.

When Anakin's in love, he's IN LOVE. He's so down bad that he doesn't even realize when another woman is making romantic advances at him. The only woman on his mind is you, which is why he doesn't realize this girl he's talking to is clearly flirting with him.

Anakin stood outside of the restaurant while you went to the bathroom. He was scrolling on his phone when a girl approached him. It started off as small talk, until she started getting more flirty.

"Your arms look huge! Do you work out?" The girl asks with a flirty tone and doe eyes.

"Yeah sometimes. I go to the gym whenever I can." Anakin looks at his arms as well. He hadn't even realized how much muscle he's gained. He's too distracted looking at you than himself.

"Can I touch it?" The girl gestures to his bicep.

"I guess." Anakin shrugs, completely oblivious to the girl's flirting.

You walk out of the bathroom and see Anakin talking to the girl through a window at the front of the restaurant. You frown. She's clearly flirting with him and he's just gobbling it all up.

'Maybe he's getting sick of me,' you think to yourself. You couldn't help but let your insecurities take over. You had been in bad relationships in the past. They'd love bomb you for weeks and then leave you for another girl. Anakin wouldn't do that, at least you hoped he wouldn't.

You hesitantly walk outside to meet him. When you walk up to the pair, the girl laughs at something Anakin says. Anakin finally notices you and a huge smile appears on his face. "Hey! You ready to go?" He asks.

You shyly nod. He takes hold of your hand and turns back to the girl who just gave you a stink eye. "It was nice meeting you," he waves. The girl gives a smile and wave but it's clear to you that she was not happy.

Your grip in Anakin's hand was tense. Your other hand messed with a strand of hair, a habit you did when you were anxious. Anakin noticed the change in your demeanor. "Hey, are you okay love?" He asks in a soft tone.

You nod, "yeah, of course." You didn't look at him. It was hard to lie to his face.

"Y/n," he stops you from walking, "talk to me...please?" He holds your face so you could look at him.

"It's just.." You sigh, "Do you still love me? Or even like me?" You hated how meekly you sounded. It was embarrassing that just seeing your boyfriend talk to another girl made you so self conscious.

"What? Of course I still love you." He was confused at where this came from. He could see slight doubt on your face. "N/n, where is this coming from?" He was slightly hurt that you thought he didn't love you anymore. He wasn't hurt by you, he was hurt by himself because he made you doubt him. He always showed you how in love he was with you. Maybe his actions weren't enough, he thought.

"Well I saw that girl flirting with you and.. you seemed kind of interested in her." You look away as you told him what made you insecure. Anakin thinks back to his interaction with the girl, fuck, she was flirting with him. How could he be so blind to see that she didn't care about his exercise routine??

"Oh, baby I'm so sorry about that. I didn't even realize she was flirting with me. I just thought she was genuinely interested in my workout routine." He truthfully tells you.

You look back up at him, a small smile forming. "You could be a little dense sometimes."

He lightly laughs, "Yeah that's true." His expression turns more serious. "Y/n, I am so in love with you. Sometimes I don't even know how I lived my life before meeting you. How I was able to sleep without having you in my arms, how I was able to wake up without feeling your lips on mine, how I was able to breathe without you."

Your face lights up the more he speaks.

"I want to spend every moment of my life with you. Honestly, I think I'm becoming obsessed with you. I'm sorry for making you doubt my love for you. I never want to do that again. I'll even remind you twice everyday if I have to. Actually, not even twice. I'll do it a hundred times." He started rambling and you just kissed him.

"I forgive you Ani. I love you too, wayyy more than I thought I ever could. And I'm sorry for being so insecure." You start looking down to the floor again but Anakin makes you look back up.

Anakin frantically shakes his head. "never apologize for that. I'm banning that word from leaving your mouth." He smiles when you laugh. "Hey, I love you." He kisses you to further enunciate his words.

"I love you too Ani."

Anakin Skywalker was head over heels for you. And even that was an understatement. The boy practically followed you around like a lost puppy when he was off duty. Unfortunately for him this meant missions were his left favorite thing, especially if they were long and oh so far away from you. You were all he could think about, constantly on his mind. 

Sometimes it got so bad that his focus on missions would slip, resulting in stern words from Obi Wan, who was aware of your and Anakin's relationship, however he chose to ignore it as he knew how it felt to be young and in-love. Anakin would count down the days until he would be reunited with his love, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet when he got to visit you.

When he was with you he would bathe you in kisses treating you like the princess you were. Every mission he brought something small back for you. This could be a piece of jewelry, or a pretty rock he had found on a distant planet. You would never have to lift a finger when you were around him, he would make sure you were always comfortable and looked after. At night he would check and double check that you were warm enough or not overheating. He refused to let you catch a bad night's sleep. 

Pressing a kiss to the side of your neck Anakin mumbles against your warm skin “just missed you so much baby.” His curls tickle you as he shows you just how much he had been craving you while on his latest assignment. You close your eyes, basking in the comfort of the jedi, wishing he didn’t have to leave you again in the morning. As if he can sense your thoughts he speaks softly “let me take care of you, okay?” 

This boy is willing to sacrifice anything for you. When you two first got together, he made it very clear that he didn’t care about the jedi’s rules about attachments. He just wanted you, and only you. Although sneaking behind the backs of his fellow jedi is difficult, he will not give you up. Even if it risks losing his status and being ousted by the council.

Anakin was always patient and understanding with you, he would let you talk about your worries and doubts. He would offer advice and tell you how you were already perfect to him. This man is just so in love with you, and he will continue to love you until the end of time itself.

Anakin Skywalker x Gender Neutral Reader

"You know even great Jedi's like yourself need rest" You pressed as you stepped into the training facility. Anakin had been pressing hard lately -too hard. Working until the early hours, leaving again when the sun peaked through the clouds. It would only be a matter of time before his body and mind wore out.

"Just a little longer, my love" Anakin returned to practising with his lightsabre, twisting and turning with such elegance.

Crossing the room, barefeet tapping on the ground, ypu reached Anakin before he could transition into his next manoeuvre, resting your arm on his bicep gently.

Anakin halted. Tasking his time to take a proper look ar you. You are beautiful in your relaxed clothing. Face bare, hair out of your face. Anakin questioned frequently how he managed to make you his.

"Come to bed, let me loook after you for a change" You pleaded as he melted under your gaze. The way your eyes appeared to sparkle under the light. He'd give you the entire galaxy if he could.

"I can't I need to be ready. You rested your hand onto Anakin's cheek softly, rubbing your thumb back and forth.

"You are not going to be ready if your body and mind is exhausted. Anakin, your always looking after me-protecting me let me look after you for a change…please"

Anakin knew you were right. He would be no good to you or anyone. He needed to be prepared for whatever may come his way. Anakin slipped his hand into yours, allowing you to lead the way. He needed to be ready, but he'd rest for now.

2AM THOUGHTS #7: Ahsoka and Obi-Wan teasing Anakin after his first time with Y/N

Anakin walked into the mess hall, smiling. He caught sight of his Padawan and walked to her table to sit with her.

Ahsoka looked up at her Master and grinned teasingly at him. She noticed the small mound of love bites on his neck that were partially hidden by his chest plate and the red scratches on the back of his head that disappeared into his robes.

"Good morning, Romeo." She smirked, looking at his tousled hair.

He rolled his eyes at her, still grinning like an idiot. "Hey, Snips."

"I trust you've had a pleasant evening." She stifled a laugh, looking at his messy ensemble.

"Oh, you have no idea..." He smiled and rested his chin on his hand, replaying last night's scenario over and over again in his head with a goofy smile on his face.

Ahsoka gave him a teasing smile as her cheeks were puffed with her breakfast cereal.

"Hey, what's going on here? You're late-" Obi-Wan began to scold him, but stopped as he noticed Anakin's neck.

"Anakin got laid." Ahsoka said in a singsong tone, smirking at his lovestruck expression.

"Ahsoka!" He said through gritted teeth.

"Don't yap at her, you do a terrible job at hiding the evidence." Obi-Wan smirked and nodded at the purple marks on his neck.

"Turns out they both do." Ahsoka spoke, looking at Y/N as she took slow steps into the room. Well, 'dragging herself' was a better way to put it.

Anakin turned to look at her, his ego inflated by the way she was walking, her hair tousled and her neck littered with purple spots.

"Hey, you." She smiled as she neared the small group, giving his head a quick, loving stroke before sitting down next to him.

"Hey, you." He replied, grinning as he interlocked their fingers underneath the table.

"Ahem."

Both their heads snapped towards their friends, who were looking at them with fond but teasing smiles.

"You kids have fun last night?" Obi-Wan asked, chuckling as Ahsoka snorted and covered her mouth with her hand.

"Shut up, Obi-Wan..." Anakin groaned, hiding his face in his hands.

Ahsoka looked at Y/N and wiggled her eyebrows at her, to which she blushed and giggled lovingly, both at her teasing and at Anakin's shyness.

"You're adorable." She chuckled and pried his hands away from his face, fixing his hair and putting the little curls back in place.

They were most certainly never going to hear the end of it.
