Julien Hyer ran for class president of the senior year in 1916. He seems like an ambitious but very level headed and responsible guy.

We will start with Martha’s parents on the blog, and write about anyhing I can find about her, bit by bit. Martha’s dad, Julien Caper Hyer, sounds like a very interesting man.  “ Texan by Choice Was a Man of Diverse Interests," as an article says about him. He was a lawyer, judge, teacher and writer (and much more), born on April 1, 1894, in Aiken, South Carolina, to William Hyer and Marsha Wagener.

Great opening shot of Martha, Jean Harlow style! Yet she was so much more than a blonde sexpot!

All about Martha!
This blog is a valiant try to categorize and learn as much as posible about the alluring but somewhat neglected classic actress, Martha Hyer. Martha appeared in more than 100 movies and series, was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar, but is little known today, and most people have never heard about her. This is a try to remedy at least a bit about that. So, let’s gather anything we can find about Martha and put it here! We start now!
