Student Abduction A Hoax

Following an investigation that involved Mississippi State University police, the FBI, and other law enforcement officials, authorities have determined that the reported abduction of a female student earlier today (Wednesday, Feb. 29) was a hoax.

"When interviewed, the student recanted her account of events," said Thomas Bourgeois, Dean of Students. He added that the student faces charges for filing a false report.

Maroon Alert**

A female student was abducted last night on her walk back to her dorm from the library. Nothing else is released yet except for she called her roommate and said she was abducted.

For any students, male and female, please be careful. I'm not sure what's in the water down here in Stark but too many crazy things have happened.
