watching c*ntrapoints w/ the boys for the first time, and how did ppl ever like her. shes awful. shes so fucking mean and cruel, and acts like its universal and shes correct to feel this way. like sure, shes articulate, but everything she says is just complete bullshit dressed up in faux academic terms.

like, the tutorials just say "window -> material, and then drag and drop but it... does nothing???
u cant see in this screenshot, but when i try to drag the model theres just a red X over it and then nothing happens...
does anyone use the CSp 3d materials? i have no idea how to open assets in it... ive tried following tutorials but it just... doesnt make sense to me >.<

did the i forgot to remember to forget quest for boone and it was sooo bad this time. i had the animal friends perk active and the dang dogs just ran right passed me and i was sprinting around the fucking map trying to get them. i didnt think it affected faction aligned dogs like that, and they never turned hostile even when i was shooting them. and i had to do it all myself bc they didnt register as enemies to boone, arcade, veronica and rex.
#i have a mod that lets me being everyone along w/ me#but i usually only bring veronica arcade and raul bc they love blocking doorways and having that many is unmanageable

i cant believe i spent two hours on this and then didnt even use it bc i decided to play as a new OC instead.
ok i started playing wotr but did not get very far at all bc it really bothered me that the portrait i selected for ainsley was a COMPLETELY different art style than all the other NPCs. i noticed some style differences in the portraits u could select, but i didnt think much of it bc the pillars of eternity portraits also have clear style differences, but its different when all the NPCs have a distinct visual style that my character doesnt match. so anyway i just spent some more time editing ainsley's portrait to look closer to the style of the other NPCs, so it here are the differences, original edit on left, new on right.
heres seelah for comparison:
basically i used a filter to smooth it out a little, painted some faint outlines on his face, made his eyes bigger and brighter, added more highlights. so i think its a much closer fit visually. i know im bonkers having to edit and re-edit a portrait so many times so the styles will match, but im so much happier with this version.
#i did minor edits to the new OC portrait... i just gave him piercings and shorter hair#but i might go back and paint more scars on to match the in game model more closely

im just so used to create ur own character stories where if they even let u be trans its an afterthought. the story was written w/ a cisgender person in mind. but fallen hero is the opposite. ik the protag's dysmorphia has to do w/ a third variable, but its a condition that doesnt happen IRL so it can be seen as an allegory for being trans.
the way that the protag in fallen hero is constantly struggling w/ dysmorphia is like, yeah u CAN be cis in this game, but it was written w/ a trans protag more in mind.

i think it's great when someone tries to pull off a tragic self-sacrifice in a story and there's at least one guy who's just like "no this is fucking stupid actually. you're an idiot." about it. because it kind of is. i love a good tragedy but let's be honest with ourselves if a friend tried to indulge a noble sacrifice fantasy would you not be a little annoyed. like come on man.

when asked the question on what my favorite animal is, i have two different categories. one is animals that i like being around, and the other is animals that are neat, but are better appreciated from a distance.
my fave animals to be around are cats and horses c:
and i love the humble possum, but they are best appreciated outside, from a distance.
