Fankidtober Day 17: Austin Sycamore

Austin is Marissa’s younger brother. He specializes in Dark-types and his main partner is an Absol that can Mega Evolve. He is blind in his right eye from an injury he obtained during an incident with a Pokémon Poacher as a kid. He was saved by the same Absol, and they’ve been together ever since. The ordeal led to Austin deciding that he would raise Dark-types in an effort to remove the stigma that Dark-types are “evil.”

Just imagine Alain and Mairin both having a crush on each other, but being too afraid to do anything about it, not wanting to ruin their friendship. Of course Charizard and Chespie (now a Chesnaught) know their feelings are mutual, and try to do everything to get them to confess and get them together.

Cue Alain and Mairin desperately trying to stop their Pokemon as soon as they realize what they’re doing, failing miserably, and the rest of the lab sitting back and making bets on who will finally confess first.

So anyway I drew this a couple weeks ago for my good friend and precious kouhai, @mysticdelphox97!! I love you, and I'm glad Marissonshipping brought us together!!

Pokemon color swap + age-up + sailor moon/snufkin-inspired outfits I cheated with Alan: his shirt should be a lighter green to match Harimaron but it looked absolutely horrendous and I couldn’t look at it so I chickened out. I also cheated with Manon: she would never wear high heels like that unless she had a purpose like who are we kidding but heels look good with this outfit, so maybe they’re just helping Mikuri out with a fashion show or something

I think these two were the third anime based couple I added to this verse. That was really when I just started to give in and go all out on adding the anime characters, but in some sense, you could blame that on this pairing.

Despite the hardships these two end up facing involving their children (mainly just Marcel), they’re a very rock solid couple.  They have each other’s back, they’re each other’s biggest supporters.  Overall, they’re a very devoted couple.

Pokemon Fankid Week Day 2: Pokemon Partners

I did write a story for day 2 of fan kid week but in my tiredness, I ended up 1) projecting my own issues/opinions on a canon character for like no reason and 2) the story was kind of all over the place, Andre was only in it at the end I wrote more about Mairin than him oof. 

I might publish the story I wrote for this day at a later date but for day 2 we just have a doodle of Andre meeting his first Pokemon partner, Chingling!

When Alain and Mairin first met, Alain couldn't speak Japanese very well but could understand it, and Mairin was the same with French.

Mairin is fluent in Japanese and Alain is fluent in French. They ended up settling on them both speaking the language their fluent in, but it also meant its near impossible to follow along.

Mairin and Alain share braincells. Their ideas are stupid but they are excellent at working together to do it, and they almost always get the desired results.

Alain's about 5'3-ish, and Mairin's 4'6. They are both short, and bite when this is mentioned.

Mairin once kidnapped Alain's scarf and cuddled it to sleep when she was sad. Alain didn't even realize until the next day, but didn't mention it other than to tease her that morning ("Mairin, you could've just said you wanted to snuggle")
