It was hard to detect her humor, given her tone. But finally it mustered a small smile in return from him. Marcus shrugged his shoulders at her question. "Not so much," he conceded. It was more just a sign of how he'd slept the night before than any sort of reliance he had on the drink. "It's the easiest way to wake up though. Or at the very least gives you an out when you don't want to speak to someone," he added before taking another sip. In all honesty, there wasn't much that Marcus would consider to be "fun" about himself. But it was charming to hear that it wasn't obvious to her. "You a comedian taking a break by pretending to be a mindless working stiff? Seeing how the rest of us deal with the day to day?" he asked, also in his dry tone wondering if she'd pick up on his own humor.

"Oh, trust me—" Kennedy lifted the empty coffee cup from behind her laptop. "—I'm aware of it." She gave a small chuckle before setting it back down. "I'm practically the machine's number one user. I heard rumors it's actually considering taking a restraining order against me because I visit it so much," she joked dryly. She rarely ever started a day without coffee. Given how much she tended to overextend herself, it was a necessary part of her routine.

"Are you a big coffee drinker?" She asked after a moment before standing up from where she was seated, empty coffee cup in hand. She planned to throw it away. She figured moving, not staying slouched in front of her computer, might help her wake up. "I figured with knowing that fun fact you might be." A beat. "Or you're just a guy who likes fun facts which is... you know, obviously very cool too."

Marcus smirked as soon as his eyes looked down upon her. It was clear more by her body language than her words that she was tired. He lowered his compostable cup, filled with coffee that steamed through it's lid down to his chest. "I think they have a machine in here, somewhere," he said with a shrug. Marcus had only been to the community center a few times for various reasons. Today, he was there to get little league info for his children before getting to work. "You also have to remember where you are. It's basically the coffee capital of the world," he reminded the stranger.

It's her own fault, really. She chose to 'keep watching' instead of go to bed at a reasonable hour. Now it barely an hour into her work day, and Kennedy was fighting her eyelids from falling shut like no one's business. "How early is too early to feel sleepy after waking up?" Kennedy asked a person close by, looking away from the laptop screen in front of her.
