tired: vader strangles anyone for incompetence on the job

wired: vader strangles people for incompetence but only after he's nursed personal, petty vendettas against these people for months. he just leaps at the first excuse to kill them, after weeks of thinking, "fuck, not this guy again"

inspired: the only people vader strangles in the OT are naval officers, and vader started his military career in the army, so maybe he just has a homicidal case of inter-branch rivalry. strangling is his hazing ritual. naval academies spend a lot of time assuring students that it's only a rumor that vader hates the navy, really, don't worry about that, our supreme commander is fair and just and murders everyone equally. meanwhile vader views a new crop of graduates like a wolf looks at a troop of sickly baby sheep
