That last anon is dumb, thanks for your blog. I'm not a huge MaoP, but I really do like him as a character. It's a shame he's so underrated.

Sometimes, I do wonder what the fandom would be like if Mao wasn't so underrated and instead on the other side of the wheel... but at the same time, I kind of like that he's underrated even if there's not as much fan content (or content as a whole, honestly*) I selfishly want to see because it makes Mao feel more special than he is (in my opinion). Does that even make sense? Because I'm unsure, I literally just woke up a few minutes ago, haha! :D

Pardon me, out-of-nowhere Anon, but you find this guy:

"BORING"? Look. I'm not being biased here because I'm a major MaoP. This is a genuine thought:

Mao Isara is far from boring.

A boring person wouldn't know how to break dance. A boring person wouldn't know how to play the guitar and ask his childhood friends older brother how to play other instruments. A boring person wouldn't overwork themselves to the point of exhaustion, and people like Hokuto and such would find 'em asleep at a damn desk. A boring person wouldn't stay overnight at school to practice further dancing routines because he wants to keep his friend company. Plus, have you heard about how Mao originally got into the idol stuff when entering Yumenosaki Academy? That definitely isn't a normal thought in why to attempt to become a music idol, either. I could go on about Mao, you know. I'm pretty sure you've chosen the wrong person to send simplistic negativity towards. There's so many reasons as to why Mao Isara is not boring - would you like me to list more? Because I easily can, but I'm sure it'll take me ten thousand years to get from one end of the book and to the other.

People who still call Mao Isara "boring," saying he has no "personality," etcetera, frustrates me, you know. I don't get why people truly find him boring. In fact... there's characters a part of enstars who are definitely more "boring" than Mao, but I shall not name them because people like them a lot. Is he called boring because of his background? Because his background isn't as sad as Subaru's? It isn't as far as Makoto's or Hokuto's? Is it because he doesn't get all pushy like some members of Knights? Because he doesn't have a perverse personality like some few do? Because he doesn't attempt to murder every person that is at some distance to him when he gets the chance to? What is it about Mao that people just immediately assume this?

And also you find Ritsu "better"? Cool. Opinions are opinions. You like Ritsu, and I like Mao. So what? Is it bad that I like someone who isn't so damn popular amongst the community as of nowadays? It's a crime to like somebody like Mao now? Do I need to turn myself into a SakumaBro'sP now just to have an account within the community? Because I won't. You can't make me do so. I have a free choice on the matter. My free choice is to make this account dedicated to Mao, and that is final.

Want to know why I love Mao? Why I chose to make this account - alongside a few others - dedicated to Mao Isara specifically? Because he's the reason why I got into Ensemble Stars. He's the reason why I still play it. Usually, I don't play games for as long as I have done with Ensemble Stars right now. On-going two years of playing this silly rhythm game? That's rare for me. And it's all for Mao. Without knowing about Mao, I wouldn't be doing what I am right now. And in a way, call me a 2015 cringe demon for this one, because: Mao Isara has saved my life in more ways that anybody could count. He's more than a character on my phone screen. Mao Isara is this person who has become my hero.

Alongside that, most of the Ensemble Stars idols actually make me feel uncomfortable anyways, and some of them I try my best to avoid looking into because there's stuff a part of them that triggers things for me. Whether it's looks, personality, etcetera. I mean, heck... I hate to say it, and I have included this one specifically into my posts quite a bit when I feel sick in doing so every damn time because I feel like I have to include him every now and then, and sorry, anon, you'll hate me furthermore but... Ritsu is actually a major trigger character to me. I risk myself by adding him to my gifs. Mao Isara is my safe space amongst the large enstars idol group, even if he is Ritsu's childhood friend (actually, he's more than that, and I wish people acted on this thought even more. Mao Isara is his own person and deserves to be appreciated like it, thanks. Mao is more than Ritsu's pillow-to-kiss-at-night.)

"Ensemble Stars has better idols"? Okay, opinions are opinions again. You can think that and you have free will to do so, and I won't stop you. Fine by me if you think that...

...But at least My Guy didn't manipulate someone else a bunch of times. Unlike a few who have done to Mao if you look closely to be honest. I won't mention who, though, because I don't need further hate here, and I like to keep those kinds of thoughts usually to myself!

Look, I'm just going on a tangent this rate and probably do sound tiredly selfish. But please, if you think of something such as that, Do Not Send Negativity Towards Me. Especially when you can clearly see that my account is dedicated to one character than the rest, you shouldn't really have to know on my "Why's" and for you to make the "What if's" of my stuff and whatnot.

#334 | wish i knew somebody who has mao's "mediator of star pro" four star card so i could ask them nicely to screen record his spp from it and send it to me... but nope~ i had to join the enstars fandom a bit late, and i know nobody in the fandom, so there is nobody to ask at all! fun.
