ok, let me be annoying about richas and forever relationship for a bit, cause, wow

"the next day, there was only one of them. well, it was dad forever 0_0. lets say that, he was always here"

We all know Q!Forever in the first day didn't give a shit about Richas because cc!Forever legit thought it was a bot. This led to his chat bullying him and calling him an absent father, which led to him logging in the next day JUST for the sake of beating the allegations. This is how we get this clip:

"Aaaah Richarlyson!! Hi, son! Hi, beautiful~ "Dad?" How cute! That's right son, daddy came!"

Now meta wise we all can FEEL Forever's ironic tone about it because he wasn't taking RP seriously at the time, and also this is the first time Ricardão played Richas since the first day it was 01 playing Richas. In lore, though? This is q!forevers first actual contact with his son, taking care of him and doing his tasks.

...And ever since this first day, he never stopped doing it. Because Forever would log in and Richas would already be logged in. Because Forever would do 10+ QSMP streams for the grind and his only company was Richas. Which culminated on Forever being Richas' most present father ("let's say that, he was always here"):

"he's my most present dad and the one that takes care of me the most, without him I'd be very sad"

No matter what happened, Forever was always there for Richas. Forever was there during insaneduo divorce, Forever was there when Felps got Felps'd, when Cellbit went as a martyr. Forever was there when Richas' dad's kept disappearing one by one. When Pac got kidnapped by the code, Forever and Richas IMMEDIATELY hugged each other, desperate about how their family keeps disappearing. Forever was still there whenever they thought over armor, Forever was still there despite how Richas and him were spending less time together, Forever was there to offer comfort when Richas finally opened up about what he feels when he wakes up after a Romero Richas appears.

...And now.

Richas was told of the black goo infection, but no matter how much Forever kept saying things were fine, Richas knew they weren't. He told Mike yesterday about how whenever Forever went to sleep, he would stay up to take care and look over him. And then Forever is gone, and there's this entity taking over him, threatening to hurt Forever's body to make Richas' obey. And Richas begs for BBH to be able to pull out Forever from death if things go that way. And Cucurucho shows up and takes @v@ away, and the only thing they tell Richas is that Cucurucho got him, maybe killed him, maybe hes dead, or maybe cucurucho is taking care of him.

And Richas' doubts all these options. He doubts Cucurucho is able to take care of Forever because he knows that previously cucurucho couldn't (happy pills + black goo medicine not being enough). And he doubts Forever is dead because *Forever has always been there*. That's his most active father, the one that takes care of him the most, the one that was always there for him.

"And if mom asks me today, tomorrow... I won't believe kK"

And we just. Have Richas telling this to Tubbo about Forever.

CRAZY MEETUP

i was not ready for in-deep qForever biblical lore

if you are not following it, here is the resume

lets start with a re-cap from what happens after his guest's arrival (qBagi)

Cucurucho calls him for a secret meeting and sends him on a mission in the nether to investigate the black matter that is taking over the island. He says that him (cucurucho) and qForever have the island in common, says that qForever doesnt want to work "for them" and that someone is lying about the eggs locations and to "watch your back, mr president". He goes in that mission with the hopes to find any clue about the egg's whereabouts.

In the nether qForever meets Evil Cucurucho (aka Baribal) who tells him both of them want freadom and to read the following message out loud in a safe place:

"The watcher seeks chaos, does the eye spot a traitor? SPEAK MY WORDS: My teeth sharp, my friends, dead to me. Blood will drip from my jaws. I take no pleasure, no pride. I am JUDAS so I may find TRUTH."

Then qForever comes back from the nether, infected with the black matter and doesnt tell a soul about that. He tells qPhilza he has something to tell him and only him but this moment never comes.

Then, purgatory happens.

qForever comes back to the island in qFit's backpack and things get settled for a while when it comes to his lore.

Until the black matter infecting his body gets worse and he needs an appointment with Cucurucho because the federation is the only one with resourses to do something about it.

Then, the community gets a full ARG that leads the community (plus Cellbit's discord) to enigmas that track qForever's memories in the island as the infection gets worse and he takes the medication prescribed by cucurucho until the infection stops and dries

On the next and lastest stream, we get a message that says something like "thank you, i have eveything i need to control him"

basically, the arg was the pov of a creature/parasite infecting him and using his memories, collected and given by the community and cellbit's discord, to get into his mind. the creature calls itself @v@, or Eve, which is Forever's nickname given by his community

and whats most worrying? the reveal that it was never cucurucho doing those appoitments. it was baribal disguised as cucurucho

And now the biblical paralel all of this leads to

qFor(eve)r is tricked by Baribal (Lucifer), disguised as Cucurucho (the serpent), in order to swallow the pills that will alow the black matter/parasite to take over his body (the forbidden fruit which allowed Eve and Adam to distinguish good from evil.)

And so sin entering the (island/world) and all the pain and suffering that happens as a result

i think one aspect of bbh's character in purgatory that often goes unnoticed is the huge difference in his well-being before and during purgatory. prior to purgatory, he was not doing good. He went through a huge depressive arc resulting in him losing all his colour, which he only managed to overcome when he began actively searching for the eggs, resulting in him kidnapping the fed worker. and while it was a bad thing he did, it was the only seemly progress he had actually made towards finding the eggs. but when that started to go no where he started torturing himself with the soul vultures because he felt guilty for his actions and when he was constantly being reminded of the absence of his eggs. he felt like if the bad action he took manged to help him he would need to do worse things so the soul vultures were his self made punishment for the things he was doing and about to do and if we look more deeply into his character it was his punishment for failing to protect the eggs. the more the soul vultures attacked him the more wounds and cuts he had all over his body and the more blue was spreading all over him. (a lot of fans theorise that he's got a soul infection and that the blue is actually his blood but he's infected so its showing as blue but that's not really been confirmed). he went through the psychotic break which i believe was the beginning of his character losing a huge chunk of his sense of reasoning and his ability to separate reality from his own delusions and then further isolating him from others because he began not trusting others and believing the worst.

before purgatory started bbh was fully prepared to do worse things for the sake of the eggs (see his forest burring convo with foolish) but then purgatory happen.

and suddenly everyone was doing horrible things for the sake of the eggs. i think the biggest reason why bbh's character felt comfort regarding purgatory is that he didn't feel alone in his horrible actions and he felt more justified. dapper had explicitly told him to do whatever he could, the other parents and his team were talking about winning and strategizing. he didn't have access to his soul vultures and he and most of his team viewed his actions as necessities to saving the eggs. moreover soulfire ended up being a huge support network for bbh, because he finally felt like he was sharing the burden of his horrible actions with others. they were all paranoid and hiding away like bbh had been. it makes sense that from his perspective it would be comforting to feel like people understood him.

but now post purgatory he's got his eggs back. he doesn't regret his actions because at the end of the day he saw them as necessary to get the eggs back and there wouldn't be any point in regretting those actions now especially when he had resolved himself to do horrible things before purgatory had even started. plus he self imposed the punishments for those actions to begin with and there are huge consequences for him now because of that. he's started to get his colour back because the eggs have returned. but he's still covered in the wounds from the soul vultures and the potential infection, the injury on his head is seemingly getting bigger and he now has the radiation poisoning on his back from the nuke. his first few streams back we saw him struggling against his character reincarnation, or to clarify his death, and we later learn through his conversations with pomme and dapper that he doesn't want to reincarnate because he'll lose the ability to recall specific memories and he's scared of forgetting the eggs, which explains why on the first streams back when we weren't sure what had happened to dapper and the other eggs, he had no memories because he didn't see any reason to keep them without the eggs so he wasn't fighting his death. implying that the eggs are his reasons for fighting against the reincarnation and why when he's around them he's able to recall and remember again but he's started to cough and suffer instead. so now he's faced with the moral dilemma of keeping his memories of everyone and the eggs but continue to suffer in a dying rotting body OR to reincarnate and forget everyone.

plus we now have the mysterious ghost and "old friend" invading his home and leaving him ominous message so he doesn't feel safe. so what does he do? he goes back to when he did feel safe or at least comfort and support. which was the soulfire base, because at least there he felt like he was sharing the suffering. i believe that the "old friend" is someone involved with his reincarnation which is why hes avoiding it but thats an entirely different post.

holy shit how did this get so long D: but yeah this is why i think bbh has such different feelings towards purgatory compared to others and why he keeps taking people to the recreation of the soulfire base. like always i'd love to hear any more interpretations.
