Good points! I always lean towards spellslinger-y decks (3 out of my 5 irl decks are some variation of spellslinger--mizzix, Stella Lee, Riku 1.0) so from that perspective they just seem waaaay better than signet
For the previous asker wanting to know about Arcane Signet: there are a nunber of commander players, myself included, who believe that it is too strong, because it's an auto-include in nearly every deck, other than colorless ones or ones that avoid rocks for other reasons. Even monocolor decks use it because it's strictly better than the cycle of Diamonds.

Definitely a good point, I didn't realize they had such a price tag!
Also sorry to hear you quit but I can understand that. I'm lucky that my playgroup always sticks pretty much to slightly above precon power level

whoops, turns out I was confusing the diamonds with the medallions! My bad! Thank you for the input, everyone
That said, the medallions are definitely better in monocolor, right?

How is it possibly strictly better than diamonds in monocolor??

MtG Crimson Vow x Octopath Traveler (2021)
This was the first time I experimented with blender and did a larger pixelart project. It took me an entire week to make, but the effort was worth it. I learned a ton and gained a lot of confidence in my skills.

Do you remember the other four movies Mark Gottlieb listed when he first pitched New Capenna?
The Obscura - Oceans Eleven
The Maestros - John Wick
The Riveteers - The Warriors
The Cabaretti - The Godfather
The Brokers - LA Confidential
I give more detail in my first Streets of New Capenna preview article:
Note, a lot changed about some of the families from their initial pitch.

Hi Mark, Happy Trans Day of Visibility! Could you distribute high fives to all the people responsible for bringing us Alesha, Yuma, Niko, and all the other trans and/or nonbinary characters in Magic. It's so often we get overlooked by pop culture properties, and it's nice to feel included in your worlds. Here's looking forward to future trans characters in Magic!
Will do!
Happy Trans Day of Visibility!

Did Tumblr know magic: the Gathering has a buff ogre woman who does time magic through brute force? And has some of the most unique effects in the game? I feel like that's something Tumblr would appreciate.

Yeah so um. I made more Outlaws art. Don’t even know if Jace is gonna be there I just know Vraska’s looking for him!
(lyric at the top is from Canary in a Coal Mine by The Crane Wives, I listened to it on loop while working on this because it was just… givin me some Jace n Vraska vibes)

the thing about this card is that in New Capenna, devils are just, like... a type of person. they're a racial category. like usually "diabolist" is used when devils are like otherworldly summoned beings but in New Capenna specifically theyre just Dudes. like imagine if there was a word for "guy who summons and commands Italians" like theres someone walking around calling himself a Sicilianist
