OOC: Magma Man's Final Thought
I want to thank all of you for the wonderful stories with him, the great adventures, and the family bonding. The opportunity you gave me with him was a privilege. I would not have been able to do anything with the mystic monk of a robot if not for the amazing RP you gave him.
May whoever takes the next rebuild of Magma Man have as much fun with their incarnation of him as I did with this one. May peace follow you, and hilarity ensue.

A rough moment of flailing and increasing damage drives the little light bot into a rage "FIRE AND STONE" He spits out as his back armour is worn away by the high speed grating over so many metres, damage building on either side of him, before crashing head first through a thickly reinforced building wall.
As Magma lays sprawled, he attempts to lift his arms and legs, to get back up. None of his limbs save his right arm seemed to respond, but it was buried in rubble, and only capable of a twitch. His emotional processors quieted, the rage of moments previous faded to a dull sense of serenity. The light of the late afternoon was brighter just then. He thinks in nanoseconds, ironically pondering the course laid by the Universe. He activates one of his only remaining systems; communications, and rattled out all his dysfunctional circuits could piece together on every channel available to him.
>Friends, Bots Light, with PEACE going you, thanking you... All of love, peace, full life. Revenge me do not.
A great shadow fell upon him then, and the light became dim. Hoarsely he calls out again, one last attempt "PEACE..."
Thunder and Lightning; Fire & Stone
Jupiter sneered, Prescience. A ranged fighter’s most obnoxious enemy. He’d have to increase his rate of fire — the easiest way to do that would be close quarters combat. Jupiter’s thrusters opened up, and closing the gap between himself and his opponent was effortless.
With a crack of air, Jupiter was suddenly in Magma’s face, a rocket-propelled knee aimed for the monk’s stomach, arms back and chest thrust out as he put everything into a single attack. Jupiter’s attacks revolved around this; all of his strength went into one strike at a time, meant to crumple defenses.
It seemed Magma’s efforts for a peaceful resolution had fallen on deaf ears, as well. Jupiter was completely silent, save for the rush of wind that accompanied him.

Magma had barely silently sent out a rebounding com transmission back to the light bots in the seconds after evading the initial blast, concentrating more on the sensory data around him. The world around him shifted as momentum of incredible power came towards him. His processes shifted entirely to reaction and energy as his fighting stance sprang into a crane position springing up a few feet in the air. A knee with the driving force of several freight trains came under him as he kicked out running entirely on the impending sensory data and trained instinctive reaction.
The milliseconds slowed down to shutter-speed as Magma's processors adapted to the speed. His lucky kick landed squarely on a solid chest-plate, the momentum of which sprang Magma back a few dozen feet through the air, and damaged his foot and ankle enough to shatter some of the inner steel structure.
The dexterous little Monk slammed a fist to his own chest as he spun in rebound of the kick on the lightening fast attacker, his armour node generated teleportation of his armour from his hotel suite blocks away. The scarlet blur activated both busters, a short humm as he landed, firing a full salvo of three magma bazooka blasts each side at the nimble green attacker. His stance staggered though, as his injured foot was only partially reinforced by the boot of his armour.

Magma happily strolled after such a nice day, his robes feeling the easy breeze and waving slightly around him in the calm evening air. The empty sidewalk felt good beneath his sandals as he walked, he had just finished whistling the Bride of Figaro, and shifted into a favourite, the Barber of Seville.
With a sudden shift as though the world went dark, something felt wrong, his extended senses screamed at him of a hostile disturbance in his chi coming. And with the grace of some of the most adaptable software produced by man, Magma Man shifted his steady walking pace to a pivoted leap left into the street. He was stretching his body in the air, in a many times practiced fighting leap, as a concentrated amber bolt sizzled in the place his chest had been about to occupy and slammed into the sidewalk, leaving a smoking crater the size of the small bots body. He landed in a left leading fighting stance, his arms out wide and high, looking upwards, to the source of the hostility. There seemed to be a being of unusual energy high up on one of the many office buildings of the business district on the edge of downtown.
He looked up at the threat, hidden in the distance and called out at the loudest yell he could muster, in the hopes he would be heard by this hostile presence "PEACE!"
Thunder and Lightning
The surface of Earth was a decidedly boring place. The Earthlings weren’t particularly talented at anything, but they were far from being simple barbarians or cave dwellers. They weren’t very attractive, either, but they weren’t repulsive. His first visit to the source of much of Sunstar’s grief had been incredibly underwhelming; it was just a bland, inoffensive planet without much to offer beyond the task that lay before him.
…Well, that wasn’t entirely true. It had conveniently high perches that kept Jupiter out of sight of most of the city he as camped in, despite being right in the middle of it. The talons of his armor were buried in the side of a skyscraper, holding him in place while the visor of his helmet scanned for signs of his target. He’d been given a very specific one in this sprawling metallic landscape, and wasn’t interested in “accidental” casualties. So he’d have until this…Magma Man…was out in the open before loading a round into his arm-mounted rifle.
Jupiter’s visor came up, a soft breeze rolling over the exposed parts of his face. Well, soft by Jovian standards. He did admire one thing about Earth: the weather was certainly pleasant. Having a stable weather system would make his job all the easier. The planet was a jewel of a place; it as the civilization borne from it that seemed dull. Fortunately, his boredom was alleviated soon enough, his target stepping out onto a barely occupied sidewalk and walking slowly. He might as well have been wearing a target.
A flash of lightning lit up the daytime sky, a bolt careening from empty air and striking a nearby office building. The lightning dissipated harmlessly, the storm come and passed before anyone could blink. Jupiter loaded his gun, took aim, and fired.
A more concentrated bolt of lightning rocketed towards his mark. It didn’t matter where exactly the weapon landed; a single blast was strong enough to vaporize most things on contact. He’d gotten in the habit of aiming for torsos, against everything he ever learned as a sniper.

At the end of the day
The teacup had a rose on it. It was fine ivory white glossed with simple red and pink roses on the side of the cup. The tea was a splendid Earl Grey. Magma took another sip, admiring the cup again.
Magma put down his coffee cup and patted the dainty hand of the elder sitting across from him. "Mrs Jones," Magma responded, looking into her wise yet dim eyes through her great big reading glasses. "Mr Schmitty has been an exemplary employer, and most reasonable with any scheduling based around my own needs."
Mrs Jones looked to him and squeezed his hand again "Well, just make sure you get to spend time with people. You know a young man your age should have someone, should find love."
Magma processed this information carefully and smiled back "But Mrs Jones, I have the love of family and friends. Why I'll share with you my triumph, in the last year I have reconnected with all of my siblings, and built a relationship with my father. I have made many new friends, and gotten to know old ones," He reminisced fondly, "Why just this week I had cookies with a neighbour, and taught Kung Fu to my siblings. And lets not forget, I was able to have tea with you today," Magma happily made his point as his elderly friend listened.
"As for romantic love, one does not desire what the universe does not see fit to give," Magma thought out loud. "Though perhaps in life to come, my path will be shared with another."
Mrs Jones sipped her tea and looked up and down at Magma "Well that sounds lovely. You know deary, all that really matters is that you truly experience life." She patted his hand again. "Speaking of experience, mine is telling me its getting to be about the time of day I need a lay down. Thank you Matthew for coming to tea, I so love our visits.
Magma stood and hugged the elder, giving a departing note "I always experience life when we visit, Mrs Jones. I look forward to our next weekly tea." Magma Man headed out her front door, and down into the early evening city air.
His red faded robes swished through the light breeze as he walked down the calm street, reflecting on all the recent joy he had been able to experience, from Kung Fu in the park, to lunch with Oil and Spring. He had bee reflective the entire day in fact, right from leaving for his mid day meditation in the park, and it ran his software to a very happy state.
As he always did, Magma whistled a happy tune as he walked down the street, and it quickly turned into an orchestral rendition of the The Marriage of Figaro, by Mozart. The passing ice cream truck driver sadly drove into a parked car upon noting the distraction.

Magma shook his head at his brother "No Cut, mostly because it would be humans who have the bones and we do not want to be getting into that sort of predicament. However if you are fighting a stronger robot in earnest , you would need to elminate the threat posed by their weapons, limbs or mobility, and there are strikes and movements designed to do that within this style." The sun cooked down on the four light bots as they stood in that bright green park.
Magma looked at Ice and roll as they finished the last stance change, in the basic defensive form. Magma gave a spirited smile as he commented "All of you are picking this up quickly, much like when I taught Galaxy. Let me teach you some basic strikes to practice with me now and that will round out today's lesson. Next week we will talk about the philosophy of energy transfer and try some advanced techniques, like the wind sweep. Now try this open handed strike, and kick combination." He smiled to his sister as be began demonstrating a two step combination bringing forth both hands "Roll, you will be happy to note that you could use a two handed weapon for this same strike, such a sword, or a steel broom.
Sitting on a rock
Magma walked through several stretches with his siblings as he continued, watching them move. His loose fitting monastic robes, though worn and in terrible nead fo replacement, still moved with him easily as he walked into a simple stretching form. “Now there are many forms of kung fu, and other quite wonderful martial arts. Like most, mine is a defensive art, and more specifically, it is about redirecting the energy of ones opponent, and ones self, much like the circuits within us.” He watched his siblings as he moved on. “Thanks to our adaptive programming, we can learn the physical principles quickly, though the philosophy and understanding takes much more. Please move with me through these basic positions and techniques as I speak,” He instructed as he began flowing the stretching forms into a few basic blocks, throws, and stances.

Magma watched the acts and stepped back, feeling the distortion in energy in the room, the chi in the room just broke off and warped for a moment. He accepted the cat and looked the little man up and down, unsurprised. "And again I say to you, you have the carriage of one well travelled friend." He ate another cookie, and then said. "I've seen someone move chi, but never quite like that. Well done." And with that, Magma stood and bowed. "If you'll excuse me though, I have a meeting in the park to go to."
a kitchen chat
Magma laughed again before calling the cat “Susie, you are not going to get out of that spot very easily, you might as well let our friend let you out. It will be less jarring than me shaking the ground to pop you out.” The cat let out a low moan and stopped flailing, clearly unimpressed.
He opened his hand indicating to Saturn “If you would care to, please go ahead.” The fact that he still had a spoon sitting on his nose only added to the ridiculous nature of the conversation.

Magma chuckled “Did you hear him Susie?” The cat let out a yowl and flailed in her upside down position, arms and paws flying as the fat cat shook and shook in the cupboard. Clearly she had bitten off more than she could chew.

Magma nodded thoughtfully, shifting in his seat, the spoon still on his nose. “That is good. Perhaps we should all still be studying. There is ever more to learn.” Looking back to the cat “Would you like a hand Susie”
“Mroooooo” Said the cat.
“Alright, if you think you’ve got this.” He said to the clutsy tub of fur.

Magma nodded “I had several other teachers I also shared affection for in my time. did you study for a long time?”
He looked over at the cat which was now upside down in a cupboard looking very stuck. “Susie. What are you doing?”
The muffled meow was, I assure you, hilarious.

“I don’t know…” Saturn trailed off, tapping his chin in thought. “Even if nature went against them due to their own foolish actions, they still doesn’t understand the reason why it happened.” He propped his head on the table with one hand and, with a bored wave of his free hand, produced a candy bar seemingly out of thin air. The wrapper tore itself open and Saturn started eating it.
“Wise indeed, if only people would take those to heart.” he said. “I can’t say I favor one of my mentors. They have their own merits.”

Magma smiled and accepted the box, answering "I wouldn't lose faith in all the people of this world. In some pockets the old wisdom holds strong. I was fortunate enough to find it in my travels." He popped a cookie into his mouth. "My teacher, Brother White, he told me once 'where there wisdom, is hope.' Wise words."
He looked to the other "But then again, I am biased towards my mentor. Do you find the same with yours?"
Magma looked at the little fellow as he levitated the cookie “You know, it’s interesting to find that some cultures of this world were more advanced in understanding and philosophy centuries ago than most of the ‘modern’ earth is now.” Magma released the flow of chi he was channeling and pointed towards the cookies “May I?”

“I learned to connect with the chi around us when I was studying with the monks of Kay Nu. What I’ve learned is, when travelling beyond the physical self, sight and sound is very different, as our physical senses do not apply the same. It is all interpretation. I see ones, zeroes, circuits, channels, thrumming fields of power, and some times, some times, I see stone, flowing as liquid, as an endless sea. It all depends on the day.” Magma reached his right hand down, balancing the spoon in the air still on his left, he shifted the energy flow in from the left, and out through the right to direct a gentle conscious channel towards his friend.
